Most Stable Jellybean ROM? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I know none of these are as stable as CM7, but what Jellybean rom is best as of now? Smokin901's AOSP or ThdDude's CM10 or AOKP JB by Xylograph?

I would say the most stabe is going to be the most recent stable release 7.1.0, there are a couple of other good cm roms like absolution and tdj's 7.2 cm.

I agree, If youre looking for the most stable AOSP rom itll have to be CM7 Stable 7.1...although I have been running the latest Nightlies 252 without any problems with anything. Smooth as silk. But yeah TDJ's CM7 7.2 kang is pretty awesome as well with some new added features such as a T9 dialer plus a few others I cant remember atm

I use Cyangenmod 7.2 downloaded from the cyanogenmod website. I use it everyday and works perfectly
CM7 is the most stable and it is still being developed, albeit at a very slow pace (check their website for nightlies). All the ICS roms are still in testing and are good enough for daily use so long as you can deal with some minor bugs here and there. I'm using Evervolv ICS and it's good enough for me, though CM7 is noticably faster.
Evervolv ICS (last not official build with some new commits) is the most stable rom for me!
I prefer JB 4.1.1 evervolv @reider123

Kernel Troubles

I'm using cm10 4.1.2 and I am having a lot of trouble with the kernels I have tried. Is/was there a stable kernel with overclocking ever released by a dev? I've tried faux's, clemsyn's, and mkernel and I have had no luck with any of them running smoothly. Also, do 4.2.x kernels work on 4.1.x?

try trinity kernel. but cm changed some stuff, so its possible that many kernels wont work with cm unless its specifically built for cm support.

What version and ROM would you currently put on your Desire Z?

Hello
Ive come from Mimicry (4.0) which is pretty good but I want to enjoy those new JB features. For stable reasons, which would you go with: 4.0, 4.1, or 4.2? And what ROM?
Thank you

I'm currently running andromadus aosp 4.2.2. Pretty stable and smoothest performance I've found so far.

You make it sound like there is a final version out. They are just putting out builds right?

Yes just builds at the moment. But over the past 2 months a lot of the JB builds have gotten to the point where they can be used for daily roms now. Not many 4.0+ stable final builds, mimicry 4.0 is the only one that comes to mind.
BTW, Im having trouble finding the official GAPPS for 4.2.2
Where are they?

Just red this in the thread of flinnys CM 10.1 ROM: there is a link on his website, just poke around a little and you'll find it...sry can't link you there cus atm I'm at my grandma's with ****ty mobile internet :/
And not to get off topic: I use my vision now as a facebook phone with not google account and nothing else but fb-app, dropbox and the spoofing ROM from ghul (CM 10.1)
But before I changed the daily phone device I had dabsa prime v12 and it was the best sense ROMiever had on the vision

Nothing on his site.
There is literally a thread like this popping up EVERY WEEK. Read my post here, and give some ROMs a go.
And it's blatantly obvious that 4.0 is going to be more stable than 4.1 because there are STABLE releases, and 4.1 is going to be more stable than 4.2 because there have been well over 100 test builds of 4.1 whereas 4.2 is up to about 10 - 15 depending on which one you go for.
To reiterate:
For stability = 4.0
For uptodatedness = 4.2
I wouldn't go with 4.1, it's pretty much in limbo at the moment if you apply my above logic.

I think I used these: donandroid.com/gapps (sorry no linking till 10 posts)
Jb-20121212 are the ones to use
i like sense4.1,don't like JB UI
I THINK
4.2 AOSP Build 9. Look no further for stability, snappiness as that of near stock Gingerbread CM9.
I'm also using the AOSP 4.2.2 from Fyodor but Build 10. Just about to change to the Jelly Baby v1.1.0 just to give it a try but the Build 10 is THE fastest and snappiest rom I've ever used so far. Battery life is roughly 2 days and multitasking is just flying even without Supercharger.
Just give it a try!
Cheers
I've switched to Gen.Y VisionX R3 running ICS 4.0.3 and found it painfully slow after CM7.2 latest nightly. But the looks and feel much better than CM7 of couse. Which I had a ROM as fast as CM7 and at least half as good looking as Sense roms
AW: What version and ROM would you currently put on your Desire Z?
I flashed ASOP 4.2.2 from Fyodor, and it's very fast and there are no issues I found. Will keep it for daily use.

Is it worth to flash CM9/10 based ROMs on our X8?

Hi, my question is if it worth flash CM9/10 based roms on our lowend device. If it is smooth and bugless as CM7 ROMs. I tried CM9 long time ego but it was horrible so I'm asking now.
Thanks
If your concern is stability, CM is much more stable than when it sounds like you last tried it. Some nightlies might be better than others, but I personally would not hesitate to daily-drive CM10 at this point.

I've been using CM10 nighlies since nAa released the .32 kernel.
Now at version 4 of this kernel my system is way faster than even FroyoPro..
Here's a couple of screenies to show you.

Worthy or not worthy. It's the matter of personal taste.
