I' m a new user in this forum but i now very well our x8 !
First of all hello everybody!
Most of you know that the fantastic gingerxperia rom is dead ( it don't have new update no more )
For this reason i'd like to take the project development because it can't die !
Probably i didn't respect a lot of rules ,sorry for this but i've no time to read all of them!
I wan't to create a team for continuing the development of GINGERXPERIA ROM
So everybody wants to update this rom contact me via skype at lorks22 account or pm me !

Hmm well I remember someone I guess CCknot who continue FDE because the developer no longer active and never say any words about his developments and he continues it. So I guess it would be ok until such time I guess that he complains about it. Ill talk to some mods regarding your issue. "If the dev can no longer be contacted is xda would someone allow to continue the dead development."

Hi lorks,
I sent a message to some mods and admins about your issues, and from some questions to other members it turned out that xperianfan has an issue with that ROM and sadly discourage by mods to continue the development. I will send pm to colossus coz I guess his the one who dealt with that ROM and ask for some background.

xda should put a main thread where users can interact. just out of topic thread. i meen to share.personal problems, comments, what they like/ unlike. just social matters only. no techinical matters. i hope it will make us close. what you think?

One thing I don't understand. Paul has deleted everything about his ICS developement from XDA. OK, but with this he only made bad thing to the XDA community, noth for the thiefs. I'll explain: they've got the source now, so they can make their roms, and if they make the ICS for lowend phones complete, then they can say: its their rom, because there will be not any written logs here on XDA from Paul... we don't want that. SO. Instead of deleting everything, why not the XDA community holds together and earn to erase those damn little pests from the surface of the earth that stole the WORK OF A REAL DEVELOPER.
I understand paul's step, but I think it can be solved another way. No matter what, I stand beside Paul! Good luck, and next time just give an oppurtunity to XDA to help you. Thank you.

*facepalm* these are the kinda threads which are prime candidates to be locked by mods...
As for the issue, I wasn't there when it happened but all I know is B.Jay and TeamDX are serious developers. They wont get jealous or act immaturely towards others that have not wronged them. But if people have stolen their work then it's a different story. I don't know what happened but I'd be pissed if people stole my long hard hours of time and energy to make the ROM. A ROM is like your child. How would you like it if I were to kidnap your kid, dress him up in another outfit and present him/her to the rest of the world as my kid ? You'd be furious, right ? All that hard work just to have a child and someone, so effortlessly swoops in and uses your work to get their fame. The way many of you took it really was and is childish. This is XDA Developers. A forum for developers to share their work and for normal users to test and report. It's not a playground for trolls, children and theives.
P.S. I'm talking about ALL 9 soft modded ROMs, not just the recent one.
But did YOUR so called major developers built ANDROID.They also must have taken all the necessary files and modded them.Its right that the rom launched was without permission and should be closed.But the thread which contained many roms for lot of time should not be closed

So, the official update is here. Atleast in some regions while others wait for it. Though numerous roms r out with jb, I thought we could just start a thread for getting the people who wait for it excited (already excited, even so.). so, let us begin with the changes, one question I would like to ask is about the startup of phone app? Is it still slow? Thought, I felt my phone blazing fast, the instant I press phone , it just bring down the smile. . Comeon people!! Share!!!!:thumbup:
