EVO 2.3.3 hdmi out

I'm curious what the steps are to unlock the current bootloader that is on an EVO White I just received from insurance. My previous EVO had the charger port unattach, which I hear is pretty common, had it for only four months, but I was able to mirrior netflix and hbogo via a program I paid 5 dollars for on the market. The program is called hdmi out and is no longer on the market. Please help!!

If you had spent more than 30 seconds, you would have found over 80 threads asking about root for 2.3. You cannot root it yet. End of conversation. Next time, search.

Looking at the top 10 topics in this forum 3 of them are about 2.2.3 root not counting yours.
It is hard to be helpful when you clearly didn't take the time to find the answer on your own. Sorry for being harsh. A new day another question about 2.2.3 root........

To be fair to the newcomers, I don't see why this forum can't add a sticky post that says 2.3 OTA can't be unrooted. Would make it a lot easier for newcomers and make it completely inexcusable to start a new thread asking for 2.3.

Wow.. 3 posts and not one helpful word in the slightest.. Honestly.. what do you gain out of being a total prick?? It's just to hard to pass a topic up regardless if your any help or not vs upping your post count eh?? Cuz that's all your doing.. posting nonsense that has no meaning to anyone but yourself since it gives you a stiffy to be able to let someone know you feel superior to them by knowing pointless information..
2.3.3 has no root yet.. even the white version.. Sorry, but join the many of us waiting patiently for this to happen. I feel your pain though as I had root before and also received a replacement. Hopefully soon we'll be back to our flashing ways..

ICS and Jellybean Rom Discussion Thread

I figured I would open this thread due to the all the hooey going on and also the clogging up of Kushdeck's and JaredtheGreat's ICS thread no longer on here, and with preludedrew not posting his roms on XDA. Any questions or issues are welcome and anyone that can help,can feel free to assist. No links will be posted here. Please follow @preludedrew on Twitter for updates and downloads. I've been running the rom for the last 24+ hours. I'm really impressed with how stable it has been. It has some issues mainly dealing with the gallary/camera and setting photos as things etc. but still, for it's alpha stage it's not bad.
I applied the car-o-dope settings and it seemed to calm it down a bit also. These roms should get real fun here soon!

Agreed and the battery life is outstanding. The gallery seems to settle down after a while, but I've been using Quickpic as a picture gallery and makes setting wallpaper and cropping much easier...it works well with ICS and I've gotten no fc's using it. Its free in the market and is a great alternative to stock gallery

You don't have to be a twitter fan, it takes 2 seconds to create an account and search who you want to follow, and check it periodically...keep it as an app on your phone so you don't have to keep signing in all the time. I recommend following @kushdeck as well because he posts test builds not available on XDA also, actually he just posted his alpha 4 build with working camera a little bit ago...

Yeah, I love how everyone was freaking out about a link being posted without even knowing whether or not Drew would be against it. Download links are visible to everyone with an internet connection... there shouldn't be a restriction on posting them.

The problem is with noobs flashing the Rom and something going wrong or running into problems and asking. the noobish questions that the Op isn't qualified to answer. The reason he doesn't care about people posting a link is because he doesn't have to deal with all the noobs and a-holes...

Except noobs flash ROMs and ask repetitive questions all of the time.. Why should we care if someone foolishly flashes a ROM they know nothing about? In any of the other threads, users ask questions which are 9 times out of 10 answered by other users, rather than the devs themselves.

For the last time...that wasn't the issue.... IT WAS IN THE WRONG SECTION that dude developed nothing you look up and see Aamikam look down and see Kushdeck and this a - hole strarted a thread to post a link to somebody elses Rom in the middle of these REAL devs ....when you post a Rom in the dev section you need to be available to address any issues it causes, bug fixes, improvements not drop a link and bone out...

Care to elaborate sir? Try wiping cache and dalvik cache then fix permissions, then reboot should help whatever your experiencing...

So we couldn't have a thread with a link in it in the development section because the OP wasn't qualified to answer questions, so you open a thread that serves the same exact purpose WITHOUT a link to the ROM? If you think I'm here to troll you are sorely mistaken, I merely am posting my thoughts in a thread, just as you are doing. You call him an A-hole for posting a thread in hopes of clearing clutter from other threads, and I'M the troll?
The thread was perfectly at home there. It is a ROM in active development made by a dev who no longer posts here; but he has no problem with his work being posted alongside proper credit. The OP posted it to give room for development conversation.
There are multiple threads set up like this.. the CM threads, for example. After being posted, the poster usually never comes back and all questions and concerns are answered by users like us.
Posting that thread in the development section gave room for people who create mods to share their work, as well as to discuss different ideas regarding the fixing of certain bugs.

How Do I get ICS on My Mytouch 4g?

Well I Just rooted my mytouch 4g and i was wondering how do i get the best Ice cream sandwich install on my phone

There's only one rom and its the one in the dev section. Flash it and read before posting. Also, if you ask about the camera I may have to kill you.

I wouldn't recommend an ics rom yet unless you have no need for a camera our video camera. I don't believe flash is working right either. I may be wrong about that though. I would suggest unity, Cm7, our miui for rooms to try out until a solid release of ics is available.

This forum is a resource, not a help line..you don't call up the folks at wikipedia and go "quick, i have a report due, tell me what happened in ww2!"
They did the research to help narrow your information search to a single forum, the last you can do is understand that unless you are developing new applications or roms or working on a brand new device that your question has already been asked and the onus is on you to actually read the encyclopedia and to write your own report..no one is going to write your report for you, especially not the editors of the encyclopedia..it is gracious that some of these questions even get replies, even if they are flaming you for asking without searching..imo fwiw

Well, if you had read the OP you would've seen it doesn't work on any ics roms...now for your answer it's mainly because we have no functioning HAL module for ics.

I actually have read the OPs. It usually states that it simply isn't working, so yes, I have been aware for those that are assuming I haven't read the OPs.
And a million thanks for directly answering my question. Now I understand that it's a technicality and developing issue therefore, I don't have to chase after a solution thats way beyond my capabilities.

I don't do cheesy posting normally but had loads of help here.
Thanks to the rom devs for the top quality roms I've used and they spent time developing
Twisted..lord clockan..rcteam..zfreak and memnoc.the collective. Alienmind. Mike.leedroid. all the questions answered also.
All the mod makers also.
