Hi im wondering if i can use cyanogenmod on g3?thank you for reply!

Everyone in G3 community should register on cyanogenmod site & add a post supporting CM for G3 in the CyanogenMod Ports forum..I have just done this..unless we show numbers & some people take lead, CM won't come to G3..

So if we do that then is posible that we will get cyanogen mod?

Hi, I want to get Cyanogen mod too. I read that is now available kernel source for Froyo for this mobile so I hope to cyanogen mod will be done for our mobile nearly.

Can somebody make a custom eclair rom if they can that is prerooted busy box installed and custom themed

Why not use a 2.2 custom rom? You can change framework-res and twframework-res if you want to theme your G3

I have already used 2.2 custom they r amazing except for them being modded with beta releases...i would really like a custom for eclair which is already stable..nothin much required just a preroot and custom theme
Atleast someone could guide me to where the procedure to install a busy box is given

Roms i tested were stable. Kirillos beta release is becouse it dont have all promised features.

i know but the main thing is watching videos they lag on every froyo beta or custom roms

Which video? I use mVideo player and no lag.....and i dont think it will be better in enclair....

Even i use mvideo but the audio and video dont sync properly whereas it used to play smoth on eclair...anyways thanks for the support mate

I just wanna ask u all developers . Is the development project for miui rom have been started or not..
I like miui interface much attractive then that of cm7.

yeah ... jasux , pauri and all have started the porting work!.... but most probably it will come after marcellusbe's cyanogen port only!

Yep we are porting it and if we get all working before cm7 we will most likely release it with froyo and later with GB, and yes it looks awesome

Now that is good news...... btw i read in thread that you guys are porting only some of the MIUI apps and theme and not the entire framework.... but the rom is based on AOSP...... so won't the samsung modified froyo be a problem for the base rom?

We are porting all MIUI frameworks (.jar files and the theme) also the apps and thats it... But the thing is that MIUI get its looks from framework.jar files and everything except firmware will be ported. lockscreen, launcher, apps, notification bar, theme, scripts these are the main things we are going to port
And if you want screenshots just google MIUI

it will be based on marcellusbes AOSP android 2.3 (if he gives me the permission to use it)

And how can you solve the touchscreen? I'm trying to port Miui v4 to u8800. Its boots but no touchscreen.

I guess there was a topic about how to port screens to ics. did you checked them?

But why would you want/need the phone optmized version?
Choice is good I suppose, but just don't understand why you want the phone optimized version. If you do I'm sure there is a mod you can use to enable phone mode on CM9.

It has per app density settings , Thats pretty cool .
