I recently purchased the tf101 from a groupon deal i saw on here (thanks btw) and after applying a zagg screen protector my power button does not register. I can only assume that the wet applicator the zagg comes with seeped off the zagg and into the cracks on the tablet upon application. Is there a quick fix, work around, or shortcut on this or am I just sol? I have the dock so its not a huge deal. Screen dims when shut.

Hi All,
I recently upgraded from a TF101 to a TF201, now today i have noticed a screen flicker on some screens in the lower left corner, it usually flickers the back screen key next to the home button,
Has anyone else experienced this?
Wrong thread/forum
should be in q/a in tf201 forum

Just got my nexus 4 today. Love it except for the very creaky volume buttons. The slightest touch makes it creak a lot, whether I'm pressing up, down, or even just resting my finger on it. Makes the phone feel cheap over all. Anybody else? Should I try to exchange it?
Edit...just realized its the power button too. Bummer.

I just got my tf300t with keyboard dock. Great device.
I noticed something unusual with the chrome clicker bar underneath the touchpad though. If I press it on the left or the middle, there is clear click and a bit of resistance when pressing the bar. However, if I press it on the right there is no audible click and the bar doesn't really move down when I press it there. It seems like the micro switch inside is not working properly like on the left and in the middle. Nevertheless, the button does trigger the desired action (go back one step) when it's used. I am just wondering if this lack of clicking sound and pressing resistance is normal or the first indication of the button getting broken.
How does the clicker work on your docks?
Thanks a lot.

Nobody has a minute to let me know if their clicker works better/differently? I would like to send the dock for RMA if there is a problem, but first I have to figure out if there really is a problem. For this, I'd really appreciate some help.
Thank you.

Clicker working exactly the same on both sides. Makes click sound pressing the button for both left and right presses.

Same here. Clicker bar works the same all the way across. Clicks on the right, middle, and left side. If it's not doing that then you need to take it back because it's faulty.

Thanks a lot. You are confirming my assumption that I was sold a faulty unit.
I sent it back in the meantime. Unfortunately, the replacement I was sent had an even more serious problem - there were two dark spots/stains "in the screen". They were not pixel errors though. At this point, I decided to give up on the company I had ordered from. Will wait for a while and then perhaps give it another try or go for another device Acer W510 also seems interesting too.
Thanks again and a happy holiday season to all of you!

I got this tablet for Christmas. I was curious if a screen protector is truly needed since a tablet doesnt go through the same abuse as a phone.

I don't use it for anything. Better response and better display. Just have to be careful.
Still Charged Up
Thats what i was thinking. I already baby the hell out it

I use screen protectors on all my devices. After applying the screen protector to my tf300t, I can tell no noticeable change in touch screen response.
Over time, no matter how much you try and baby the device, the screen will accumulate scratches. A screen protector is a good investment IMO.

for the price they are in englant £3 for 2 its a no brainer, put on well you will never notice its on , thats untill you scratch it , scratch the screen itself the scratch can not be removed remember we dont have gorrila glass
I don't use a screen protector. If I used a stylus frequently I might, but I almost exclusively use my finger. It's a lot easier not to realize there's some potentially damaging grit between a stylus and the screen. A lot less likely between your finger and the screen.
How long does a screen protector usually stay on?

They can last quite awhile. I've had them last on my phone for months.
Another thing as whether or not to use a screen protector, once you see the scratches starting to show up on the protector, you'll be glad that you applied one.

I've never had scratches just appear on any device I've owned. My infuse and s2 never had a screen protecter not one scratch. Scratches don't just appear.

I have a very minor scratch on my tf300, happened only recently (after months of use). If I use a screen protector, will the scratch be more visible? (it is now only visible when the screen is off).

Have you ever turned the screen off and turned it so you can see light reflect off of it. I haven't seen a device yet that didn't accumulate fine scratches on the screen. Those fine scratches build up over a period of time and you will eventually start to notice them. Dust is gritty.
Also, for those once in a blue moon accidents, better to have one on than not. A screen protector is easy to replace. A glass screen is a whole different ball game.

there are also anti reflection protectors.
got one from amazon, it really reduced the reflections on my device therefore i would go for a protektor.

I have an OG samsung galaxy tab since the day of first sale which i guess is in the nighborhood of 2 or 3 years and i just windexed it, yes i use windex on the screen and always have, nor has it ever had a screen protector and it is mirror smooth with no visible scratch in any lighting angles. However this device doesnt have Gorilla Glass like that one so i may get a screeny.
Hello guys,
After awhile of using the phone, I feel the power button sinking more and more into the housing. There is a lot less distance to click from now. From time to time (not often) pressing the power button does not wake the phone but that's rare. Anybody having the same issues? Should I RMA?
The N4's hardware buttons are pretty "thin", if that makes sense. If you're worried, you could try something like Screen Off & Lock (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock&hl=en) to reduce the number of times you press the power button. I currently have a gesture set up in Apex Launcher to launch Screen Off & Lock, and it works nicely. I imagine you could do similar things with Tasker or GMD GestureControl.
I installed CM 10.1. It has option to wake the screen with the Volume Rocker.

Yeah I've noticed it on mine too.
It was very harder and more out when I got it. It'll probably stop sinking when it reaches a certain point.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Not used it for a while but I'm pretty sure widget locker lets wake the phone with the volume keys.
As someone else said it will stop dining after a certain point. I noticed the same thing on the gnex too
