Hi ,
I am experiencing very strange problem of cracking Sound in my u8800Pro from date of purchase. Weird thing is .. If you put hands-free and call any number and then play music-- It plays very well. Does anyone else have same issue? I tried every ROM available. But problem persist.

can you try this:
get your droid pro a voice recording app / record a video
is your mic working properly then?
could be hardware failure couldn't it?

Everything is working fine. I can make call with the phone. I just get muted incoming calls.
Hey guys,
So I got a problem - I can't hear a thing while calling/receiving calls and the other side of the line can't hear what I'm saying as well. The phone was taken care of and didn't crash, so that was unexpected. Feels like a software problem, because both mics don't work. Other than that the phone is functioning properly, music is playing etc.
Did anybody have such a problem or anybody suspects where the problem is?
Thanks

Yep. You definitely need to update the baseband radio.

Hi!
I bought my nexus 4 two days ago and I can hear this constant static buzz coming from my earpiece during phone calls and also when the screen is locked.I tried hard reset but that did'nt solve the problem so i guess its a hardware issue..
I was wondering if any one else is experiencing this problem?

Indeed souns like a hardware issue. Have you tried with earplugs to see if the same buzz comes out of those when you use them?

Hi! Thanks for your suggestion...yes i just tried it..there is no static noise in the earphones so i guess that proves its a hardware issue
I am facing a problem with my new Galaxy S7 Edge gold where the sound suddenly disappears. (up to 5 times a day)
No Sound at all (notification, earphones , phone ringing, even if i answer the phone i cant hear a thing)
When i close all apps it goes back to normal (yet there is no specific app that when i close it by itself would solve the problem)
Have anyone faced such problem ? should i replace the phone on the warranty although its not a physical problem ?
Please HELP!
If this happened to me and Its not rooted, I wouldnt think twice getting it exchanged.
Did you turn up the volume

Here the same problem i have the S7 edge version. The last day's i lost all my sounds from ringing the phone till music the clock alarm. When i started the phone up again it's gone but for how long tihis is the third time in two day's. I put the latest rom on my phone now from Engeland. But on the forum's i see this problem more times. I hope there will be a solution.
I had this happem to me for the first time last night. Did a reboot and my sound came back. So far it has been working fine.. just hoping that it stays this way.

Having same issue. A reboot fixes it. I noticed that it only happens after a single app I use. In this case a certain game. It is only that app that mutes the sound on the phone. Doesnt happen at any other time. I dont play the game often so its not a big deal for me. No issues with sound otherwise. I have the Gold (FD) version.

Same issue here, with the F version. I have a certain game that won't release control on the sound. If I already have music playing when I start the game, it keeps going, but once the music app stops for long enough to give up the speaker, the game gloms on, and has to be manually killed to enable anything else to grab the sound. Works against headphones or speakers.
I theorize that this is Game Center related, since my s6 with 6.0.1 and the very same game does NOT have this issue.

Dokkan Battle - the funny thing to me is that I have both BGM and effect sounds OFF.
in my case i found out that a game on my phone called "Diamond Dash" is causing this issue. and it never happened to me again after uninstalling it.
but from what you guys say i see that the Galaxy S7 Edge is facing the same problem with some other games too
hope they will find a fix soon.
I had the same problem until I flashed a different Stock Firmware (Build G935FXXU1APC8)... No problems since thankfully

I do this to but for me the problen is still there with the new firmware. I have it wit real racing 3 but sometimes i lost all the sounds and somethimes not. Very strange, but i was already 1 time to late on my work because i not here the alarm. So the problem is that i not thust my phone on this moment.
My problem is when I have silence on I still hear notifications so I use Do not disturb. I think I've had other sounds issues but I restart my phone every morning so maybe that helps.

I have also noticed same after having played Real Racing 3 through the game tool.
Hope this issue will solved in a new update.
Will make a test and see if it continues to happen after playing.
Let's keep updated.
Hello,
I have some weird microphone crackling issues.
When I call people and im using the earpeace speaker everything is ok.
But if I am using the bottem speaker the person on the other side gets really weird crackling noises and other shrill noises.
I have tested all microphones in an app all are working perfect and also in WhatsApp everything is ok in voice messages.
Some ideas?

I think you probably have a different issue, Abject's sounds like feedback (shrill) while yours seems to be related to decompressing not being smooth or fast enough from the browser, I've had this with youtube using browsers. Sorry not sure why it sometimes happens, possibly when wifi is slow
yes, we have different issues, but I also have the problems you have in voice messages
but I have no solution

hmmm. should be definately a software thing as the native youtube or spotify app do not cause any crackling at all - even on max volume...
i have contacted essential support yesterday. lets see if they come up with something other than 'please do a factory reset'
will keep updated.
cheers

so. after a long long chat with the essential support they can confirm and reproduce my issue. after testing many scenarios they now say its the apps causing the trouble. nothing to fix for essential
last option would be a factory reset. but thats not an option for me at the moment.
haven't installed the february update yet, maybe there is something in it. never lose hope...lol
cheers
