Is there a jelly bean rom where I can hide the top bar? with everything I need in the status bar, the top bar takes up unneeded space.
Some of the Jellybean ROMs have Tablet UI, like Jandycane and SGT7 based rom.
Are you talking about the Google Search bar? Download Nova Launcher, or Apex Launcher. Both have the ability to remove the search bar.
Turns out ADW Launcher Ex is not compatible with Jelly Bean. I loaded Go Launcher and all is well. Thanks.

I like Apex launcher, since it has a Jelly Bean look that I love, but one or two widgets don't work with it. Yet, when I click on add widget, these widgets still show. Anyway to hide a widget?
I remember i read somewhere that if you clear the launchers default it will ask you if you want to launch holo or the manufacturers overlay of android when you go home. Can i do that to my tab with ics?
Just the launcher? That doesn't work on every device, In fact, I think the only device that ever did it was the EVO 4G, mainly because HTC left the other launcher in there, which is uncommon. You can always install Trebuchet (not on Google Play), Apex Launcher or Nova Launcher. The three are based on the original 4.0 launcher. My personal favorite it Apex, it's the smoothest of them all and it feels like you're still using vanilla.
I am wondering if there is a way to flash the stock AOSP 4.2.2 launcher onto CyanogenMod 10.1.
Trebuchet on CM 10.1 has the smaller dock and icon margins, which bugs me. Doesn't look stock at all.
I tried Nova Launcher and I can get it to look right, but the scrolling doesn't feel as good. I notice the smallest things.
Grab the Launcher2.apk and push it to /system/app. Should work.
I am on a Paranoid Android port at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2502789
Google Experience Launcher using this method:
http://phandroid.com/2013/10/31/download-and-install-the-new-google-experience-launcher/
Transparency works (has slider for transparency) on default launcher that came with the ROM in App section of Paranoid Android App specific settings under "Color". The code is "00FFFFFF" for the transparent color
Trying to repeat the same steps for the New "Google Experience" Launcher there is no slider so I try and manually input "00FFFFFF". I press the check mark, press home, and its still black.
What am I doing wrong? Or can it even support transparency? What doesn't make any sense is that it is transparent on the Nexus 5 by default..
Right now I'm currently running nova launcher on a new note 3. Unfortunately I dont like the launcher other then the fact that I can adjust the grid size (5 apps down) and that I can change the icon theme. Other then that I don't like it as much as the stock touchwhiz. I'm wondering if anybody knows a plain launcher that just leaves everything running as stock except for grid customization and if possible icon themes. Thanks!
Nova, as well as Apex, are Vanilla Android launchers. They stick closest to the Stock Android experience. As plain as they get.
What you're looking for is a Touchwiz inspired launcher. (About as far from plain Stock Android as you can get.) Try S Launcher or Galaxy Launcher.

Try Yahoos's Aviate or Terrain Home.
