so... i have to say bye

hello,
i'm following (almost) all these threads since i got my x10 (august 10?!).
i went through the first custom rom ever, the first dual touch kernel, the thirst 2.2 Rom, thefirst custom kernel thing and all those stuff
i was so happy with my x10... till now
my usb connector broke and a odd red liquid came out there and destroyed the mainboard (may i call it so?). it would cost 225€ so i decided to buy a new phone...
but i can choose between LG optimus 2x (Lg optimus speed) and samsung galaxy s II...
the lg o2x would cost 69€ here and the sgs2 199€... so it's cheaper (and better i thing) to choose one of them.
btt... i wanna thank ALL great dev's here, J, Z, Trip, and all other (just wanna name 3 of all now )
you're so amazing... i don't know the words i should say so i only say THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

if i was in ur shoes......samsung...anytime...(if cost aint priority)...not jus coz of the brand name and performance..but also services,updates,availability of parts n accessories etc

Sgs2 anytime. Not sure why you think 2x is better. Specs say sgs2 is better and reviews say the same. It comes down to price and that depends on you.

sgs 2 is currently the best android phone to date imo... (reviews seem to agree)
It is insanely fast.

I thought the same.
I saw some where some dude's USB connector was glue'd right about where those caps were with a red glue.
Maybe he should get a second opinion from another shop?

Yeah that's true.. even if it was glue the board would have to be replaced.
Me... i would take a "Slaughtering" iron to it.

SGS II without a doubt.
I did, rooted within one day of release and overclocked to 1504 mhz within 10 days

LMAO... i wasn't so sure that the sgs2 was perfect, now i see it's flaws.
The SGS2 is well worth it.
I used to hate their products. but the SGS & SGS2 really bring to goods.

The blury parts are just some random fingerprints!
Sandpapers that were used:
1. P220 Untill whole surface is matte.
2. P600 Untill whole surface is matte.
3. P2500 (This one i used a "wet sandpaper") Untill whole surface done and no other deeper scratches from the lower papers.
4. After sandpapering a matte nice surface you use a polish liquid like "Autosol" or as meantioned in the thread "Belgum Alu".
Those are used to polishing the metal to get a "chromed" surface. This is easiest done by using a handdrill having a polish towel.
If not having a handdrill with this set, just use cotton or some else soft material to polish it. Apply and rubb!

Ok first, take off the 2 covers and take out the battery,similar card,etc.
Next take the guitar pick and use it to pry up the GPS cover. Take note of the screw in the corner that was hidden under the cover.
Now use the t5 to remove all of the diver screwed around the edge of the phone , there should be 4. Now take out the screw that was hidden by the Gps cover.
You can now remove the body CAREFULLY!!!!
If looking at it from the front make sure you push up and to the left so you don't break a volume button like I did lol.
Now that the back is off, remove the power button, camera lens, speaker grills, and the volume button which is held in by a piece of rubber.
Youre now done. Make sure you don't loose anything and just follow the guide backwards to replace. The pic below shows the spots where all the screws are.

Yes i think same, but I have the only HD photo phone at home , the only way to take photo is my webcam lol
But one friend see my phone, and he have one DHD and asked me to make it as a mirror, work in progress

I like it. It's unique. I know what to do now when my phone is all beat to s toward the end of life

I did the same. If you want a real beautiful surface you need very much time and the right tools, but if you are finished you are amazed...

i find that there is a hidden HDMI port on xperia play and i working nice
that is on left side , upper than mini USB port .
does somebody know that why , really why SE hide this form us ??!! I've checked that today, morning and %100 worked !
just need to take of the cover completely .

You don't see the port? It's right next to the holographic 3d digital display screen that sits just under the normal screen we use, tear your phone apart it's really there!

Mate, this is quite retarded

I believe the rumor was that some developer units had a HDMI port under the left tpuchpad.
So unless he has a developer unit, there is NOT an HDMI port on his Play.
I also recently took apart every inch of my play looking for a port, with no luck whatsoever.

Thisis the best handy phone out there which has perfect display size , very thin , too much development on XDA

S2 is a masterpiece. Perfect screen size, very handy, I forget it in my packet and sometimes I'm scared of dropping the phone while walking on street, because I cannot feel the weight. Not too bad screen resolution, rectangular shape (not round sides like s3), still a beast with its hardware. No reason to buy another phone.

One reason I love my SII (aside from the blistering 1.6ghz overclock speed and amazing camera) is this thing is BASICALLY indestructible. I can't count the number of times it's gone plummeting towards the concrete, no case ever,and it takes it like a champ every time. I've seen WAY too many shattered SIII screens in such a short time I can't be confident in it. It can't be that everyone is that horribly careless. also, the main draw of this year's phones are screen resolution and while VERY nice, I couldn't bring myself to make such an incremental step up

[case mod] Unlock full potential of 20.7 camera

Hello there ,
I recently replaced my Z2 back cover and I also decided to clean my back camera lens but ended up realising that is a cheap plastic that will never be 100% clear and photos quality were much higher without it .
I couldn't leave the phone without camera lens because it will fill with dust in short time and camera's internal lens can get damaged too .
So I decided to buy a iPhone 6 Plus camera lens because I've read on internet is made from sapphire that is very scratch resistant , and placed it instead original lens . Of course iPhone's lens are a bit smaller but they can fit very easy . All you have to do is pop out the original lens from the internal part of back cover and I recommend to not heat the lens because this way the double-adhesive band will peel of the lens and stay on cover .Then place the iPhone 6 Plus lens and center it .

you need lens from iPhone 6 PLUS , because normal 6 is too small
Advice : try to find lens from broken/dead iphones , because if you buy new lens they are mostly chinesse replica and I doubt they are sapphire .

why are Sony Using plastic camera Lenses on their Premium Smartphones? not to mention its only 16gb internally? we buy xperia phones for their camera.. i remember My Sony Ericsson K800i has a camera lenns Cover to protect it from scratches

I don't understand, i see very much Xperia using plastic camera. Why? Maybe, Sony want this it.

Because $$$$$$$$$$$$ , I hate this thing too , when a product is almost perfect but it has some little flaws because they used cheap materials .
