Bootloop help!!! - Galaxy Tab 2 General

I am attempting to root my GTP3113 (build ending in UEALCB5). I have the most up to date Kies. I downloaded espresso_recovery.tar.md5. By the result after getting the PASS with Odin, I think I used the wrong recovery image. The tab is not responding to the power button or power plus volume down. Its in constant boot loop and I cant shut it off. Someone please tell me I didn't brick this thing.

As long as it boots so do not worry in hard brick the device never boots or respond to button presses and screen do not operate at all black screen try at begining of cycle of rebooting when screen off to press volume down +power long press even 10 seconds if you enter download mode try tp flash correct recovery or stock firmware from www.samfirmware.com make sure of model number of device as 5100 or 3113 to choose correct file for recovery or to choose correct file for stock firmware
This is as i know is called soft brick (continious bootloop)

Factory reset
On the Galaxy S the soft-reset is achieved by pressing and holding the power button. A hard-reset can executed by pressing and holding VolumeUP+Home+Power. There you will find the options "reboot", "apply sdcard:update.zip", "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition".
The "wipe data/factory reset" option will restore your phone to the original configuration of the firmware YOU LAST INSTALLED (including any updates made via update.zip). This will NOT bring your phone back to the firmware installed when you originally bought it unless you haven't flashed your phone.
You can navigate the recovery screen using VolumeUp & VolumeDown and use the Home button to select.
jje
i did the factory reset and when i power on the phone it shows the "S" and just after that its black screen.
help plz
Also got a problem with my phone after updating to froyo 2.2 and then trying to apply a lag fix. Phone starts and I get the flashing S logo then the screen goes blank. Phone occasionally vibrates. Trying the Button Press listed above I'm not getting any options on my screen.
Please invest some effort in trying to solve this yourself. Read posts like these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870233, there are many many posts which describe to flash stock roms with Odin
Mine is now 100% bricked with the Screenshot. Did get adb to see the phone and got recovery mode up, didn't know what to do next really with Odin not sure how that software operates or how to re-install files. So unplugged the phone and now after some research thought I'd have another go but oh no its got the logo on it now.
Look 2 posts up ("help me unbrick my Galaxy") and read about Odin. As long as you can get into recovery or download, your Galaxy is not bricked (more a matter of its owner being clueless)

Can't get into download or recovery mode, phone only has that image of the phone computer and exclamation mark now. Odin can't see phone if I connect it to PC. ADB can't locate the device either. Mine is totally bricked.
Wish I hadn't bothered with the upgrade to Froyo 2.2, my phone was operating okay on 2.1. Guess I'll have to call T Mobile in the morning to arrange for a repair/replacement of this handset.
If you could enter download mode before (volume DOWN + home + power), i don't see why you can't now. Pull out your sim card, external sd card and battery, wait a few minutes, then put battery in and try to open download mode. Then just flash whichever firmware you want via odin, and it'll work. I bricked mine two times today , also showed that image with an exclamation mark between a phone and computer.
I couldn't get download mode or recovery on my phone via the button press method. I got it up by having the phone on computer and using the adb command method. As Computer can no longer see the phone I can't use this method to get back to formatting and re-flashing the file.
Please spend some time to read it.

Go to that thread and download the full firmware XML.zip and flash it with RSD Lite 6.14.
That will return the device to stock condition and you can start over.
You must power on the phone holding both Vol keys and power and then use the vol down to scroll to AP Fastboot and then Vol Up to select it and the phone will restart with bootloader screen showing.
Now connect the cable and open RSD Lite and it should see the device.
Drag the XML.zip file onto the right pane and it will give you the option to decompress the archive and start flashing.
It will take a while to complete the flash and will then reboot into recovery and flash the radios and reboot again automatically.
This will wipe the userdata and cache partitions as well and will go through an initial setup and activation on first boot.

yea I tried that with no success, now its not even turning on. I plug it in thinking it has no battery and the green status light goes on and no charging screen. I try both volume buttons and power button, the status light goes off but nothing happens. I've tried holding the buttons anywhere from 10-45 seconds with no success. all the while even when I first was able to get to the safe strap screen the soft key buttons were unresponsive...
went to verizon and they couldn't figure it out (yes I know its not advisable) got a replacement in the mail today and sending the non-functioning one back.
That happened to me once. It just took me repeatedly pressing and holding the power and volume keys. Leave the charger alone for a bit. The phone boots up the battery status and safe strap when its off and hooked up to a power source. So try it a few times and be patient. I help the keys over 20 seconds.

Recovery Is Not Seandroid Enforcing

I tried to root my phone S7 Edge 6.1.1 just a moment ago using ODIN and CF Auto Root. I got the PASSES! sign in ODIN but upon phone rebooting I am stuck on the Samsung S7 Edge logo screen with text in red 'Recovery Is Not Seandroid Enforcing" up the top.
At this time I am unable to turn my phone off, when I do it just turns back on and goes to the same screen. I can't get into download or recovery mode either.
Any help on how to fix would by greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Also thought I should add, my phone doesn't get registered when I connect it to my PC either, it wont show up in ODIN so I am unable to flash a stock recovery at this time.
It's trying to boot into recovery.
When you say you rooted with CF Auto Root, what did you do precisely? And did you follow Chainfire's specific instructions regarding the lack of screen output during the process?

Thanks for the reply.
I used CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltexx-smg925f.tar to root.
The steps I used was to simply put my phone into download mode and use ODIN to flash the file mentioned above. That is as far as I got unfortunately. I did this once before, a few month back when I first got the phone with no issues. I remember having to install TWRP but I couldn't remember if I did that pre-root or post-root. But I think that is where I went wrong.
Now I am unable to do anything with my phone. I can't turn it off, get into download or recovery mode. When I hold down VOL UP+POWER+HOME it just resets the phone back to the samsung logo screen.
Any ideas on what I could do?
You used the CF Auto Root file for an S6 Edge.

OH GOD. You're right. I just realized that. I was supposed to have them saved into their own folders but I guess I saved that one too the wrong folder.
So what does that mean for the life of my phone then? Is it toast or is it recoverable somehow?
What is your model? Is it the SM-G935F? If so, first things first, download the correct CF Auto Root file for your device (here) and try again. Press VOL DOWN+POWER+HOME and it should reboot into Download Mode. Then try to flash the correct file in Odin again.
These phones are very difficult to hard brick, especially with something like CF Auto Root so you should be ok.

Thanks.
Yes, it is a SM-G935F. Unfortunately I am unable to reboot the phone into Download Mode. When pressing VOL DOWN+POWER+HOME it just takes me straight back to the Samsung logo where it says "Recovery Is Not Seandroid Enforcing". I'm hoping that once the battery drains completely I will be able to boot into Download Mode again.
Try simply resetting it instead. Press volume down and the power key (don't press home) for around 7-10 seconds. Once it starts to reset, remove your fingers from the buttons very briefly then press volume down, home and power to enter download mode.

That hasn't worked either unfortunately.
I just found this thread from a guy having a similar problem. He just had to wait for his phone's battery to drain completely and then he was able to enter download mode again.
You shouldn't have to though. If you can get the phone to reset at all (even if it's to make another attempt to go into recovery) then providing you time it right, you should be able to get into download mode. Did keeping your fingers on just the volume down and power buttons do anything? Keep them on continuously for up to 20 seconds and see what happens. Did you say pressing vol up & home & power made it reset and try to again get into recovery? What happens if, as soon as the screen indicated it's resetting, you remove your fingers and quickly press vol down & home & power instead?
Anyway, even if you have to wait until the phone dies, getting into download will be possible eventually. Then worst case scenario would be you having to reflash stock back. Or, as would be my preference, flash TWRP then flash a custom rom zip like Superman.
Just to confirm, I take it you selected OEM Unlock in dev options?

I have never had any trouble getting into recovery or download before so I know the method. But just the properly clarify for you I will explain some of the combination I have tried without success. Bare in mind the phone is constantly turned on and idles on the Samsung logo.
I have tried:
Hold VOL DOWN+POWER+HOME, the phone resets and goes back to the logo.
Hold VOL DOWN+POWER, same as above.
Hold VOL UP+POWER+HOME, nothing happens at all.
Hold VOL UP+POWER, same as above.
Hold VOL DOWN+POWER+HOME, release and repress all on black screen, just goes back to logo.
Hold VOL DOWN+POWER, release and hold VOL DOWN+POWER+HOME on black screen, just goes back to logo.
and numerous other things like random combination to try and enter Download or Recovery mode, which have all failed.
Right now it's just stuck on the Samsung logo and staying there, taking forever to drain battery. I work in the morning so hopefully it is dead by then and I can get into Download mode.
Have already started download stock firmware in hopes that I will be able to flash it after.
Thanks a bunch for your help. If you think of anything else I might be able to try let me know!
Oh wow. 100+ attempts and I followed your last post about holding for up to 20 seconds. I was waiting ~5 seconds and releasing thinking that it hadn't worked.
Finally go into Download mode and will flash stock firmware and let you know how I go.
Thanks again! I owe you a cold one.
EDIT: Was no need to flash stock firmware. Just flashed the proper version of CF Auto Root and it worked. Again, thank you so much!
Fantastic. Hope you get it sorted.
On a side note, you have probably already tripped knox and you will have lost you OS data and possibly even what you have stored on internal storage. If so, I suggest you install TWRP, format data (you will lose everything with this but it removed encryption) and install a custom rom like Superman 1.9 from your external SD. It's better than plain stock and comes pre-rooted with plenty of other mods.
I can't get it to work? What keys did you held down?

recovery is not seandroid enforcing
hello,
my S7 Edge was rooted with cf-auto-root and worked fine but after 2 monthe I've installed LBE_Security_Rel_6.1.1928_A1_DE_v5_signed and reconized the message device is not tooted.
I was not very clever and cofirmed the question "fix the root problem" I don't remember exactly the words. After that root was gone.
I've flashed the stock Fw G935FXXU1APD1_G935FDRE1APC3_DRE but I still have the message "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" after trying to root with CF auto root.
AP:G935FXXU1APD1
CP:G935FXXU1APD1
CSC:G935FDRE1APC3
Is there any way to get root again
Any help on how to fix would by greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Simply hold down Home + Power + Volume Down for 10-15 seconds - don't release when the phone initially reboots and gives the same error, keep them held down and download mode will appear. I have to hold for 11 seconds, a strangely unrounded number.
Hello Guys I have this Same issue Yesterday....... This happens when you flash outdated CF Autoroot. CF Autoroot Updated on 25/08/2016... Download it...
Fix for Stuck in Logo Screen
Just Click and Hold ...... Vol Down + Menu + Power Keys ...... DO NOT RELEASE. IT Will Restart. DONT release. It will restart again and you will be download mode.
i found this during the rooting process. its a bit different to older samsungs on the s7 / s7edge. YOU HAVE TO KEEP HOLD OF VOL DOWN + HOME + POWER until it enters download mode, which can be 20-25 seconds

Keeps Flashing Samsung Logo When Booting

Hello,
My brother has the Galaxy S7 SM-G930P. I tried installing the firmware (before you ask, yes, I did download the right firmware) from Sammobile to upgrade my brother's phone to Nougat, but after Odin failed to flash, my phone no longer boots into the OS and just gets stuck on the flashing Samsung logo endlessly.
When trying to boot into recovery (I followed this:
Turn off the phone.
Press and then hold the Home and Volume UP keys, then press and hold the Power key.
When the Samsung Galaxy S7 shows on the screen, release the Power key but continue holding the Home and Volume Up keys.
When the Android logo shows, you may release both keys and leave the phone be for about 30 to 60 seconds.
Using the Volume Down key, navigate through the options and highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’
Once highlighted, you may press the Power key to select it.
Now highlight the option ‘Yes’ using the Volume Down key and press the Power button to select it.
Wait until your phone is finished wiping the cache partition. Once completed, highlight ‘Reboot system now’ and press the Power key.
The phone will now reboot longer than usual.), it keeps doing the same thing. If I release the buttons, it gets stuck on the looping Samsung logo. If I continue holding them, it will keep saying that it is "Recovery Booting...".
I am at a loss on what to do. Any help is appreciated!
Are you flashing using any checkbox options in Odin? What version? Also was your correct firmware single flash file or 4_File?

Did you every get resolution? I tried to use the princecomsy version of odin to flash both this file and this file but I am getting the boot loop. Double checked the md5 and they downloaded good.
I can boot into download and I can boot into the stock recovery. I have wiped cache and data multiple times. Pretty sure I disabled everything with the BK disabler app and the phone was working fine after using that app to freeze a ton of packages. I have rooted multiple devices but this is the first time I have ran into issues. I don't care about knox or anything samsung, just want as close to vanilla android as I can get...but need root first .
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!!

I Own the Samsung Galaxy S7 sm-g930v 7.0 baseband version g930vvru4bqk4. I had been trying every single app and method through the odin program when I finally found a precise set of instructions that allowed me to finally root the phone. After I had conformation of a passed root via the Odin menu, the phone immediately went into boot loader continuous flash. I found this thread after about four hours of trying every process I could try, and I tried it with success. Thank you bulsatar;74749127

[GT-I9515] [BRICK] Help with Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition Full Brick

Hi Guys!
I'm new to XDA developers, but I've been following this forum for many years.
I would like to resurrect my old phone, a Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition (GT-I9515), witch is most likely bricked.
About one year ago, the device started to randomly reboot, until it no longer powered on (It was NOT rooted or modded).
Recovery also did not work, so I decided to flash the stock firmware with Odin. The flash failed, so i decided to follow a (really stupid ) guide that said that to solve it was necessary to flash a PIT file of the Samsung GT-I9505, so I tried it.
Since then, I'm not able to boot the phone anymore.
What can I do with the phone now? What have I tried? I'll try to be as clear as possible:
Recovery mode:
I can boot into recovery only by pressing VOL UP + POWER with phone connected to charger, and then inserting battery keeping pressed the buttons, but when I try to boot into Recovery Mode, 3 different things can happen:
It does not power on
It vibrates, then reboot and freeze in Samsung GT-I9515 logo
It vibrates randomly and then open successfully the stock recovery
Download mode:
I can boot into download only by pressing VOL DOWN + POWER with phone connected to charger, and then inserting battery keeping pressed the buttons, but when I try to boot into Download Mode, it seems that the screen freeze at a certain point while loading the recovery mode warning (this warning loads slowly, like a slide from top to bottom). The device rarely fully load the warning, and when it does, when I press the VOL UP key to confirm entering download mode (sometimes it does not respond to VOL UP click for confirmation and i must reboot) Odin is able to find the device but during a flash the Odin log stop at Setup Connection, so the device is not responding.
Normal boot:
Yesterday, after hundreds of attempts, I was able to start the phone normally (I don't know how) , it asked for the initial configuration and language, but when I turned it off, the problem reappeared and I was not able to boot it normally. In most cases, the device freezes in Samsung GT-I9515 logo, it continues to restart or simply does not vibrate or power on.
When charging, I don't see anything such as the charging battery icon or the LED.
I realize that I was wrong to flash that PIT file, but is there anything I can do to make this device work properly?
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Noone?
