I'm wondering if there's a way to change the font colors or add more font option to the built-in Google Ereader in Nexus 7?
Font can be changed by clicking the "Aa button" at the top of the screen when reading a book. Size and alignment can be changed as well. Font color can't be changed as far as I'm aware of.
This is all assuming you are talking about the Play Books app. Try another reader (Moon reader is supposed to be great), maybe they'll let you change it.

Thanks. I had tried a few other readers, including Kindle, but found problems that didn't happen with the Playbook one. I'll give Moon Reader a try.

Hey guys,
Was just wondering how I would get Apex Launcher to fit correctly? When I use it, like a quarter of my screen at the bottom can't be used for apps and widgets, I tried playing with the grid size to no avail,
Any help?

If you look at the screen shot, no icon will go further down to the bottom of the screen.

No issues here running the version 1.3beta2
I can see you are on a different DPI, try it on the default 213

What are your home screen margins?
I had the same issue - I tried the grid size. The next option down you can select if horizontal and vertical margins. I have these now at NONE and I can put anything anywhere. Before adjusting your DPI, etc. try this.

Same issue here
This has come up about 1000 times. Apex needs to set the default margins to something smaller, or put the instructions in the description in the playstore. It is nice to have the control over the margins, but it turns people off to have to go through a learning curve to do something so basic on something like a launcher.
This may seem stupid, but has anyone been able to get the emoji dictionary autocorrect thing to work? I can see the pictures when someone sends them to me, but am not able to send them myself. I downloaded and enabled the dictionary in the settings, but nothing shows up in the suggestions.
Thanks for any info on how to make this work!
I used Kii keyboard and added the droid.sans.fallback.ttf file to my system fonts and I was able to see the black and white version of emojis up to iOS 5 I believe. As far as color and suggestions, I don't think that's working. You can download a messaging app, Handcent SMS, and see them in their colored glory just fine.

Not quite sure what I'm missing, but I can't get my wallpaper to scale correctly. It is consistently zoomed in such that what should be a really crisp, beautiful wallpaper (such as to those bundled with CM 10.1), is instead fuzzy around the edges. I've tried messing with both my launcher (Apex) settings and my developer settings, but to no avail. Any help? What more information should I provide?
Nexus 10 (16gb Wi-Fi)
CM10.1 20130313 Nightly
Stock Kernel (interactive/noop)
Use something like quickpic or wallpaper wizardii or my preferred simple image wallpaper not sure why this always happens but don't fret just use an app and itll scale down properly

I have the same experience, QuickPic provides sharper wallpapers than standard Gallery. Use it to set your wallpaper (otherwise I think the default gallery is better for viewing photos (smoother))
Simple Image Wallpaper Free from the play store works great and very easy to use. if you decide to use it, you wont find with the other apps. long press the screen, hit live wallpaper, and there it is. after that its easy

Im using it but I dont like that you cant choose that the wallpaper doesnt move. When I set the wallpaper, it scales good, but on the homescreen only, on the other screens I have to choose a colour to be shown because the image doesn't cover all the homescreens. Hope you understood me, sorry for my english.
i also found simple image wallpaper free to provide the best visual quality. i especially enjoy its ability to define completely different images for landscape and portrait orientations. that is a stylish effect, and it is very unexpected (compared to usual themes).
somehow, wallpaper wizardrii and other apps which use an image instead of a live wallpaper provoke my n10 to occasionally reset the background to that ugly green leaf... i don't know if anyone has already fixed this since the last time i checked.
Multipicture live wallpaper let's you set any amount of pictures to rotate as the background or you can set a single picture... Works great with no crazy android zooming

Make sure your wallpaper is sized properly for the launcher you are using. If you are using the stock launcher, the wallpaper should be 3966x2560. This will fit your wallpaper perfectly in the 5 home screens...with the center of the image being in the main home screen.
I tried Simple Image wallpaper but could not stand the fact that it always runs and uses 13 MB of RAM. Great program just hate that it needs to run all the time.

Hmmm. I killed the process and the wallpaper disappeared so I assumed it needed to run as long as I wanted the wallpaper to fit perfectly. I will try that thanks for the tip. Weird that leaving it installed but killing it didn't work.....

Ah my mistake. It still does reset. Must have been one of the other wallpaper apps I tried that I was able to do that with

Use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alensw.PicFolder, it's just setting the wallpaper (you can uninstall it) but it does it properly. Maybe even with some sharpening, I don't know. The result is simply good.
Search ”image 2 wallpaper” on the play store. Works perfectly for me.

Hello,
Been using Nova Launcher Prime for quite a few months now. I really enjoy how light and slick the launcher is, however I generally add icons and little more than that. I don't really play around with the grid settings, margins, however I have seen so many great home screens for the Nexus 4 I'm beginning to get a little jealous as many are using Nova and not some bloaty launcher like Buzz.
I have found when using an icon pack, the dock icons are never the same size as the icons above on the main home screen. If I check "small icons" in dock settings they are smaller as I would expect, however if I uncheck this then the dock icons are bigger than the homes creen icons.
It gives any layout I'm trying to achieve an odd look. I wanted to give my screen an MIUI/Iphone home screen look where the icons in both dock and above are the same size. The only way I think I can do this is remove the dock, but then I won't be able to add dock backgrounds should I wish.
Anyone understand where I'm coming from here?
Also, if someone can point me somewhere to get the best out of Nova, put together some cool home screens etc, Thank you.
Have you tried resizing icons under nova settings>look and feel>icon size? Haven't really paid attention to the icon differences as I don't use a dock now.

I've noticed that some icon packs don't play nice with nova. Meaning that the icons get stretched out and look like they're cut off. Now if I manually add the icons, they're fine. It's not all icon packs though. Have you tried other icons?

I think there is also an option for the hight of the menubar itself (normal and higher). maybe this will help.
I wanted to know if it's possible to add or change the color of the bubbles? I know they have a couple different styles and colors already but would like to change or add a red and grey bubble.

The last time that I looked, this was not an option with the stock messaging app. But there are lots of third party SMS apps in the Play store that do allow you to change the bubble colours.
