Hey guys, I need some helps of you.
I need get a brick in my Galasy S for make a change whit the adicional warranty. I bought a few years ago my Galaxy with an additional warranty, this warranty says if a have some problem in my phone after 1 year I can change my phone for a new one. But my phone work good and never I had a problem.
So how can I get a brick?
I thought flash a Rom in ODIN with the LagFix activated but I'll have a good result? or Flash a Rom for the Galaxy S2 in a Galaxy S?
Or what do you think?
PS: Sorry if my english is bad.

Well it's very simple, flash with odin an old stock ROM for your region. Than try to update with Samsung Kies, but when is like 50% or something umplug the wire => soft brick or even brick or like you said flash a S2 ROM or flash something on partitions below 8 => 100% brick
Can't you just destroy it?

Hahaha Yes I think the same.
Any way to damage the internal memory? Or any way to try get the error Failed to mount /data?
I try to make a format sdcard and remove the battery to stop the process but I can't damage.
Are you retarded? Warranty is meant for people with real problems, so why do you want to brick it if it's working great!? I simply don't get it, that topic is just PLAIN stupid.
Keep your i9000 and be thankful that you got such a great phone. If you have bad luck, Samsung will send you an i9001 which is hardly supported by XDA.
I think he wants a new phone free

If your phone is working perfectly and you're intentionally hard bricking it to exchange for a new one, then I hope you brick your phone and something goes wrong with the exchange and you are left with a brick.
Flash a s2 rom that has 4 files(pit, pda, phonr, csc) tick re partition.
Definetly hard brick. My friend dud that accidently then bummm!

It causes a total brick the phone. It is literally useless. Under no circumstances install or flash this kernel.
If you have it installed do not wipe.
Flashing by odin another kernel.

Hello,
As I can change my note easy ( corporate phone ) i make a couple of test this afternoon trying to help the devs :
- ICS chinese repack, flash new ICS with mobile Odin, No boot, stock in samsung, wipe partition, wipe data wipe cache wipe dalvik. .. Phone restarts no CWM available ( strange ) . Flash CF kernel with mobile odin. Everything ok CWM back
- Over original ICS flash CM9, flash CF kernel no boot still recovery. nandroid backup of chinese leak and working as usual again.
- ICS chinese Repack, flash GB straight without changing the kernel. No boot. wipe everything. Boots normal. Restore nandroid backup to ICS no problem either.
So two possibilities I am the most lucky man in the world ( I doubt ) or the brick only affects to some phones don't ask me why. ..
If any dev wants me to run a particular test, let me know ;-)

I don't see a single reason to respond like that, but ok ... no problem with me as long as you jump with the phone
Perhaps pm chainfire and entropy.
If you are determined to brick your phone keep flashing different leaks if your counter gets to 100 we can assume your phone is immune
Fyi many of us flashed many (to many) times and got lucky but I personally will not flash another till we have confirmation of what phones are safe.

Sorry, but I have no idea what you are saying. Try using some proper grammar and, secondly, explain what is wrong. Simply saying that it ruined it isn't enough. Chances are, if you flashed from ICS, that you bricked your Note.

Sent from my GT-N7000 using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2
From what I get :
1. You upgraded to ICS.
2. It was bad.
3. You tried going back to GB.
4. You flashed the wrong ROM.
5. You need your phone to work again.
First of all we need to know the model number of the phone. Is it N7000!? N7000! If it is, hold down the power button, the home key and the volume down key. Does anything happen? If yes then most likely you're in download mode.
Now you just want to download stock GB/ICS UK ROM and flash it with PC Odin. How?
Here's how:

Hello everyone.
I have just bought a new samsung galaxy s3 from china. I want to unlock it and install the newest firmware, all at the beginning before i start installing applications and changing settings the way i want them. For start the phone is sim locked and in Cyprus, where i live, i have to unlock it. The only procedures i saw up to now includes root of the phone which automatically means void of warranty. I don't really mind of it but is there any way to do it without this result? How about changing the phone CSC, is that going to help or this has nothing to do with radio?
I also want to install jelly beans but iam not really sure if the official rom for this model is on the market. Any help and any links would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I doubt it. Try reading the warranty card that came with your phone. It states that the warranty is valid only in the country of purchase, AND with a proof of purchase (such as invoice, fiscal document, whatever).
Besides, since your model was bought in China, it may not be a GT-I9300, but a variant (such as GT-I9300T, or any other letter after the "9300"). That info will be under the battery, in the labels in its compartment.
If - and only if - your phone is not exactly a GT-I9300 (w/o any letter after that), flashing an I9300 ROM or kernel to it may brick the phone.
Before doing anything to your phone, read a lot fo stuff in these forums, to minimize your chance of bricking your phone, and get a greater understanding of what and why you'll be doing to your phone.
Anyhow, forget about your phone's warranty: a rooted phone is a lot better than a stock phone.
Thank you very much i will keep that in mind. As far as i know it is GT-I9300 and for the warranty i haven't read it yet but i will.

No... Samsung give out updates, they don't expect you to downgrade.... Besides, the upgrades are supposed to add performance and remove security exploits.... Why would they allow you to go back to something that's not so well protected and possibly damage your device that then gets fixed under warranty....
Yes officially. You can't downgrade. But im asking is there a way or in the near future that we can go back to jellybean? Again lets put aside note 3 for now since it is still new. Lets think.... Note 2! For example i updated to 4.4.X as well. Can i go back to 4.2.1?

Mate for the 10000000th time, everyone read your question and is trying to explain that downgrading the software of a smartphone is stupid. Especially true for the Note 3, 4.3 to 4.4.
The only reason you might want to downgrade, is that you want to put CM on your device. In which case ask so. It is unlikely that you will be able to downgrade, more likely CM will get support for the new BL

By the way. May it is possible. Not right atm but in near future. We have to get the correct fast boot access to unlock the bootloader. Then we have to flash a file called flashall. This file is already under construction by myself but it's tricky. After this file flashed successfully we are able to flash an original bootloader from former rom.
So u see its possible. Only have to wait for a dev or anybody else who can give me fast boot access.

Let's just be calm about this I agree we won't be seeing official downgranding but for one I would downgrade to 4.3. Android is all about choices and preferences that is one of the differences from ios we get to choose customize down to the bone...Why something older and propably not better some people have their reasons. Some people prefer that old chevy or challenger from a new mercedes I don't know. I for one miss lights effect from 4.3 the lockscreen effect. I was on stock rom unrooted and it had this effect then rooted upgraded to 4.4.2 poland and it didn't have it got a little disapointed. I agree that 4.4.2 is a better os and also agree that my reason for wanting to downgrade is somewhat stupid but that's the beauty of android from the start you get it exactly how you want it today in the world of android os we are made unable to downgrade tomorrow who knows? The liberty of choice in this os is getting smaller and smaller day by day...
Ok ok
Um
No
U
Can
Not
Do
It.
Y??
It's a permanent change to the bootloader that cannot be downgraded.
If that's hard to understand then I don't know what to tell you.

There are more reasons to downgrade. After upgrading to KitKat my phone is messed up bad. I got reboots all the time now. I never rooted, I never installed ROMS. All is plain stock. If someone would offer me a working downgrade I would even consider paying this person for it. My phone is unreliable right now.

I believe OP didn't try to ask same question a millionth time. What he tried to ask was, will there be a method to downgrade to JB? If that's the case it's very unlikely. In theory of course software changes can be reversed but sometimes it needs some hacking and I don't think anyone will think it's worth the effort.
