Make sure its real, its easy to scam people with SD cards as it can be programmed to report the incorrect size.

Do galaxy tabs go on sale?

Hi everyone,
I've already asked a similar question concerning the Asus transformer tablet and now I'm wondering if the same applies to the galaxy tab. Basically, what are the chances of a decent discount price in the next few weeks before I return home to NZ? I'm located in Manhattan at the moment.

Staples had a $100 of any tablet in august so I picked up a new one then for $399

In Canada, Either Best Buy or Futureshop had $100 off the Galaxy Tab 10.1 as well as many other tablets.

I guess nobody has purchased the $32Gb version? Am I the only one?

100$ for 16gigs of space? Rip off. They purposefully left the sdcard slot out to lure us into this cash cow just like apple. Samsung should know better. My phone has more gigs...and a faster, better processor at that! The tab still is the best honeycomb out there tho.

Consider it a "ripoff" if you want. For my thinking the only way to get the space is to buy it with the tablet. I'd rather spend $100 now than run short of space later.

My phone has 40GB of space. But, it doesn't have a Tegra2, and I doubt yours does as well.
However, the GTab 10.1 rocks, with Task's ROM. Who cares how much storage is local? Storage comes and goes. I have servers with 32GB of RAM and terabytes of disk. Yet 16GB onboard is more than sufficient for my tablet.

Thanks for the heads up. 16gb white ordered. Wish I could have gotten in on the 32gb deal but oh well. That's what micro sd's are for.

For those not familiar with Woot, they are a very reliable company. So I don't think you'd have any issues with a refurb if there are any issues. They also are unique in their shipping charges. They charge $5 no matter how many you order. Sorry though, no idea if or how they handle shipping outside the U.S.

i bought mine for £300 16gb brand new in uk

300 British pounds is approximately $600 or so USD, if I'm not mistaken. Mine should be here Monday.
ETA: Okay it's basically $470 USD. That's not a bad price for brand new.

I think in their inventory they tagged the Note 8 as a Tab 3 8.0. Good deal. Got rid of my New Nexus 7 and got the Note 8. You cant beat that price.

I got the same deal in Visalia, CA. Best Buy didn't have white in stock, so I went over to Staples and even though online it said $379 it rang up at $300.

Not only did Staples have it for $299, but they also had a one day 15% off coupon on tech on wednesday. Got mine for $255+tax!

Got a refurbished note8 on amazon last week for 300. No tax, 64 gb class 10 extreme sd card for 50 and keyboard case for 25.

I talked them into honoring the 15% coupon on Friday, they were out of stock, but mine is coming wed. for 255+tax.

Got one on 8/29 when they had the 15% off and the $10 bonus on each $50 eGiftcard deal. It was out of stock in store, so they ordered one online for me with price adjustment. There was a $16 instant coupon for online purchase that was applied after price adjustment making it even cheaper than in store. I paid $223 out of my pocket including tax (after deducting 3 $10 bonus GC). I should have saved another $10 if I did buy one more set of $50+$10 GC. Anyway, it was a good deal even before the $11.50 Staples rewards and $5 credit card cash back. The final cost would be less than $210 for me. What a steal.

Got mine $299 - 15% off coupon - 10% Employee Discount came out to $247 after NYS rediculous taxes. Couldn't resist at that price!

Absolutely, I saw the ultra and bought one for $41 on Amazon
But the ultra and EXTREME are completely in different classes. The extreme is way faster and just came out this summer

Just wanted to chime in to add that this is not just a texas thing, and in some places at least still ongoing. I'm in DC, went to a staples downtown. The sales person told me note 8 was not in stock, since they didn't have it on display. I asked him to look up which stores do have it, provided him the item number from their website. Turns out the store DID in fact have it in the back, and it was indeed being sold for $299. Lol, he was surprised, but rang it up for me and all that. That price + 25$ google play credit which I had no trouble redeeming made for a quite happy purchase on my part.

Just a quick heads up.... I picked mine up, today, from Staples. I printed the sale page from Microcenter (which is an hour away, in the city) and they matched it for me!

I saw this on Slickdeals. Not only was I able to call Staples and have them price match the 32GB to $200. I then used the $30 off coupon code they have to take it down to $170. I'm talking about $183 and change out the door for the 32GB! Great deal.

Those of you that got the deal of price match and then $30 off at staples are lucky because according to the Staples price match they were suppose to deduct the $30 from the $269 price and then price match. Here is their policy on that, taken from their web site.
If you buy an item from us for $159 and you have a $30 coupon, the net price is $129. If another company’s price is $125, your price match would be $4 off our net price of $129. Dollars-off coupons will be proportionally deducted from the prices of items in your order.
