The message pop out when I wanted to download the game Cytus at play store. the game size is 160 MB but my nexus 7 have more than enough storage to install that game. Any idea?

How much free space do you have? You need to have at least double the size of the app (half to download the app and the other half to install it onto).
I have 11GB shown in the setting > storage there, the app I wanted to install is just a small 160MB. searching the forum found a solution by using lucky patcher, and it works!
thanks for replying !

i just bought a galaxy tab 10.1v
i have some small apps installed and one game (stupid zombies) and google body and when i check my installed apps it says i have 10gb in use and only 4 gb free? is this of the entire 16gb?
is this normal or something my fault?
Go to the "Storage" tab in settings. it will tell what is using all of the space.
It says 9.9 gb in use of programs?

Try using Settings->Applications->Storage Use. That will show you which applications are using how much storage. It looks like the preloaded Dungeon Defenders uses a whopping 631MB. My next biggest app is Fruit Ninja THD (which totally surprised me) at 27.5MB.
Ok i will try but dungeon defenders isnt pre installed on mine?

I checked it and the program with the most memory in use is galery with 30mb but thats it. Still 9.9 gb in use??? Someone help?

I would try a factory reset, and check again. Something is definitely not right.
I already tried it yesterday and the same day it saying 9.9gb in use

There is not a "Total In Use" field in the Storage view of the Settings app.
The fields are "Total Space", "Available" and one field for each application.
What are these fields in your case?
9.9 in Use and 4.2 free

You are not looking to the Storage view in the Settings app. Where are you getting these values from?
Please, go to the Storage view in the Settings app for real and report what you see there.
I find my values with
Menu
Settings
Apps
Memory use
Do i have to look somewhere else?

Yes, go to Settings->Storage
Ok found it
Total 14,12gb
Media 23,12 mb
Applications 10,02 gb
Available 4,08gb
And i have no games installed

OK, now that we know that some apps are consuming the 10GB, go where you went before (Settings->Applications->Storage Use), select All applications and, one by one, check the Total Storage field for each application in the list.

My mistake, I thought it was pre-installed, but I don't really remember - my initial startup was a blur because I botched the initial link to my google account and then when I went back to connect to Google it didn't feel compelled to download any of my account's apps and so I spent an hour or so manually installing a bunch of stuff that I don't remember.
the biggest is the original gallery app and it is 30MB
Try to uninstall Google Body, I read somewhere that caused this issue.
i uninstalled it yesterday but the issue is still the same?
Start from here:
https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/46601?start=0&tstart=0
I don't know, probably this is the same issue.
Here is the most simple way of increacing your SD card's reading speed.
To getting started, there are three different ways of doing it,first manually, second with cwm, and third with a single app. I will show you the third and easiest way,as there is a thread about the first two.
If you want to check out the first two look this: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010807
Requirements : a rooted device.
The only thing you have to do is to download two apps.
First download the "SD tools" to see the scores of your SD card's speed. Well, now run it and do the test.(if you know any other apps to do the same thing tell me and I may add them all).
Play store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ales.veluscek.sdtools
Now download the "SD speed increase" or "SD-Booster" and open it and set the SD cache at a value.
THE RECOMMENTED VALUE IS 2048.
After rebooting your device this setting will be lost,if you don't want this to happen hit the set on boot button.
Play store Link: SD speed increase, SD-Booster
Now run the "SD tools" again, run the test one more time and see the improvement.
I have a 6 class 8gb sd card and the reading speed increased from 12.6mb/s to 17.1mb/s (see attachments)
Use at your own risk.
P.s please tell me if it worked for you and if you have any suggestion for this guide.
Thanks for reading

As I haven't develop any of this apps and i am just refering to them, I don't think is a good idea to upload them here.if someone can't access Google play, I guess if he search in Google he will find a mirror.

Great app. Just tried it. Didn't try benchmarking it as sd tools doesn't seem thae consistent. Any other app that you know of that I can use alongside sd tools to check how much of a diff it made?

You need to defrost them with Titanium Backup - you will have to do this after every reboot too. For Wallet, you will have to jump through a few hoops, as per my guide.
Ok thanks heaps, I will do the now.
But is the anyway I can make them visible permently?
If I flash a USA stock firmware, would they all be visible?
Thanks again
Cheers

I don't know to be honest. I would like them permanently visible too Maybe a custom ROM will resolve it. I haven't tried one yet but I plan to over the next few days.
Hi, I own an i9500 rooted, stock ROM. I seem to have an odd issue where I can't find what's taking up so much space in my device, the Storage info shows up like this:
Device memory
Total space
8.82GB
Applications
2.23GB
Pictures, videos
72.25MB
Audio
429MB
Downloads
4.74MB
Miscellaneous files
1.61GB
Available
672MB
SD card
Total space
29.71GB
Available
5.47GB
Click to collapse
As you can see there is only 672MB left for the device memory but counting: [8.82GB - (2.23GB + 72.25MB + 429MB + 4.74MB + 1.61MB)] this equals up to 4.4GB, does anyone know why this seem to happen?
maybe it's log files.
try pressing *#9900# in the dialer (from left to right) and then press on delete dumpstate/logcat

Any idea/suggestion what it would be? I've checked some folders and they don't take up too much space.

I cleared the .thumbnails folder, other than that there's nothing taking up a large amount of space: http://i.imgur.com/OMmJvIJ.png

I would suggest you to backup all your data and completely wipe your phone and flash a new ROM. There is something eating your space which can not to easily pin pointed. You either search deeply or just do a complete reset.

From my experience with my ipad, languages take around 50mb only, so did you need those Mbs really?

You won't have more available space unless you repartition /system too. I wouldn't bother.
