AFAIK the Moto Pro can sometimes suffer the same problem as the Droid2.
The Droid 2 problem was found to be a software problem from Motorola:

The bug comes in after a while of usage so I think it's a result of hardware wear but with the software incorrectly done to deal with that?

Hi all, is there a thread yet summarising known hardware issues? Because root on this device is irreversibly flagged, it is important for new owners to check for known hardware problems before rooting. It would suck to root your new tablet and then discover it had a common hardware issue all along.
Mine is being replaced due to the bluetooth problem; I seem to have confirmed that (at least some) suppliers are aware that this is a known hardware problem.
If there isn't already a thread on this...
If you are aware of an issue that has appeared in at least a few units of the Note 10.1-2014, could you please post in this thread (a) the issue and (b) how users can quickly tell if they have it?
Bluetooth connectivity issue - some tablets as shipped cannot maintain a connection to a bluetooth keyboard and/or mouse. In my case either a mouse or kb works fine, but the two together immediately cause significant connection drop-outs. Some people seem to have the problem even with just a keyboard though. The input device will disconnect for 1-2 seconds at random intervals and any keystrokes will be lost. Sometimes (in my case anyway) the reconnection will be imperfect, in that the tablet thinks a key is being held down when it isn't, so it produces a long string of a particular letter.
Multitouch bug, I have this issue.

Hey Everyone,
The Orientation and Accelerometer Sensor on the Oneplus 2 stops working for some time. But after restarting the phone, it starts working perfectly.
Is it a hardware issue or a software issue?
Is this problem common or should I replace the product?
+1
I am also facing the same problem,
It has happened a few times and restarting the phone fixes it
As of now I am on Oxygen OS 2.0.1
So I guess its a software issue since its common.
Still I'm not sure whether I should replace by Device or Not.
I've read some reviewers complaining about this problem in some reviews of the Yotaphone 2 around the web, but couldn't find anything related in this forum, so...
Is anyone here having problems with the keyboard lagging while typing text? As if the device didn't have enough power to process the character hittings and ends up queuing and eventually missing some of them. I've been using the default Google Keyboard, but this problem is regardless of the keyboard application I use, and is just driving me crazy.
I'm still on Kitkat as it is my favorite Android, but it's so frustrating typing on this device I am really thinking of upgrading just to see this issue gone. Has anyone already experienced these lags? Can anyone confirm that this has been addressed on Lollipop?
The problem is RAM related. Chheck wich application use more RAM in your device and try uninstalling them.
Turns out it is not RAM or processor related, it is a touch sensitivity issue. Actually, according to people responding to the reviewers mentioned, it is not even an issue, but a feature, as it was apparently meant for glove usage (Russian smartphone, makes sense).
And I find it to be the case. If I take care to lift the finger enough from the screen between character hittings, the "problem" goes away.
So....looks like the solution is to tweak the screen sensitivity somehow, or to learn how to live with that once knowing what causes it.
Just to report some findings:
My device was running the RU 4.4.3 firmware when I was coming across this problem. Now with the EU 4.4.3 version, this overly sensitive touch is gone.
So this "glove mode" is definitely something from the russian firmwares.
Hello everybody. I'm having an annoying issue with my Moto G 5 Plus wich started recently.
Sometimes when I'm using the keyboard, the low vibration every key does instantly deactivates, including the response of the fingertrip sensor (it still works but it wont vibrate too). After a couple of minutes or hours it starts working again as it should be.
I have the Amazon Ads & Offers version, so I cannot root it yet, I think, and I'm pretty sure its a software issue, as I've seen more posts of the same problem in the Lenovo forums.
Using the phone on secure mode havent presented this problem yet.
Any advice or solution?
Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. It restarts working if I use one of the Moto Action, for example camera gesture. Sometimes also restart working randomly, as you said. But I've searched some fix, but I didn't found nothing. I'm on potter_n (European model with NFC) so it should be a software bug, but it happens too randomly to say this :/
The only probable cause could be the hot weather of these days.
Did you found something?
Same issue, rooted .
It's probably an issue with the haptic motor. I've had this issue for the past several months, both on stock and custom ROMs. From what I know, it's not an uncommon issue on Potter.
I have had my S8 for about 3 months and my previous S7 for 2 years, that have both seen this same fault, so I am posting here to see if
A) Other have seen same
B) If there is a complete solution
C) If there is a workaround
Basically the screen stops responding on the lower third maybe quarter of the screen. I can drag down (such as when scrolling in browser) and the input stops being detected in the 'aforementioned non-responsive zone'.
I experienced this on the S7, thought it was a phone fault and tried to clean it and things like that to no avail.
Since experiencing *identical* problem with my S8 I am convinced it is not simply a HW fault, and i think this for two reasons:
1) I read somewhere someone with a similar issue and advising to run *#2663# and performing the TSP FW UPDATE (GENERNAL). This seems to alleviate it for a short while, as does restarting the phone
2) Restarting the phone causes the pre-boot encryption prompt, to enter my pin. The same zones that are not responsive above are completely fine after the restart.
This leads me to believe this is a SW issue common across certainly the S7 and S8 and I assume both + versions also.
Discuss.
Thanks.
