Hey, so I am trying to get MMS setup on my Rogers HTC magic and I can't get it to work. I have 3g and edge working fine. I just can't seem to get MMS to work.
So I called AT&T they gave me this info
server name
at&tmms
gateway
wireless.cingular.com
port#
80
server address
http://mmsc.cingular.com
conect via
medianet
send limits
600k
Click to collapse
so the android APN is setup so I called HTC and they just told me to input this
Name: medianet
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy:
Port:
Username:
Password:
Server:
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy:
MMS Port: 80
MCC:310
MNC:410
APN Type:
Click to collapse
and I searched the internet and found this
Name: MMS
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: leave blank
Port: leave blank
Username:[email protected]
Password:CINGULAR1
Server: leave blank
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MCC:310
MNC:410
APN Type: mms
Click to collapse
and none of the above work.
can anyone help?
Thanks
have you rebooted your phone after applying the settings?
This works for me...

That is my current configuration that I got directly from an AT&T support rep. According to them the username and password are obsolete. I can send and recieve sms/mms just fine.
everytime i flash a rom MMS PROXY always defaults to <wireless.cingular.com>
i change this to 66.209.011.32
works like a charm.. been using this setting for a year now
hope it helps
just thought of nice idea here
if it is not such a pain for members to post their APN settings in this manner
for this to serve as a reference guide so it would be of much help for
people having trouble finding the same.

Hey Chiasoft, this has been the only combination i have been able to get mms working and allow the phone to find my location (for weather, estimated location for maps).

I have attempted using the default that came with your new modded darkstone froyostone build (the same one you listed here), however i could not get mms. Are these perhaps region dependent? I live in Houston, Texas. Also, If i take out the Port: 8080 and leave this blank it will not locate my position... Any ideas?

Not sure about what is what
I am using an unlocked Aria on AT&T and would like to know which specific fields should contain what for the T-Mobile APN etc.
When I go to: menu > settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names. I then create a new APN Which has some required fields. Some of the ones you mention above are obvious while others are not. Can someone help fill in the blanks?

Will I be able to switch to the different APN profiles for sdifferent SIM cards with out a problem or will I have to reenter this data?
Thanks!
