Why won't Sony release ICS kernel source? - Xperia Arc General

So far I've seen them release ICS kernel source for Xperia S, not 2011 Xperia which got ICS earlier. Having kernel source will definitely help devs. A good example is Samsung. They already released kernel source for Galaxy Note 10.1, which isn't available on stores yet.

well who can answer?
definitely only sony can give us the answer for this. or make a petition to releas it!
its just a matter of waiting

Isn't it already available?

MIUI is mostly based on CM sources. So if CM9/7 is possible then so is MIUI.

None.
Paranoid Android uses a "safe" cm9 kernel that avoids triggering the vicious emmc brick bug.

I'm curious as to why you would want to go back to a stock ROM from an awesome cm9 ROM?

Is there any difference in dmd2? There's some lockscreen bug in dmc3.. I hope they have fixed it in this update.

I have the official Indonesian version, and just updated myself with Odin with this latest version.
Am I imagining things or does this latest version truly seem snappier??

I'm on non-rooted stock rom in Indonesia. How come the update does not appear on my software update? :banghead:
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
It did "appear" on my non (never) rooted indo Note 2, but said i had to wait inline or something. So I downloaded the rom from samfirmware and flashed with odin.
No like waiting!

Too bad the dual sim source code is not released by Samsung, saying it is "proprietary". Although we can even go as high as android 5 with CM the dual sim function will be very difficult for devs.
