So far I've seen them release ICS kernel source for Xperia S, not 2011 Xperia which got ICS earlier. Having kernel source will definitely help devs. A good example is Samsung. They already released kernel source for Galaxy Note 10.1, which isn't available on stores yet.

Heard about samsung releasing official update of JB for s2 in february.it's nearly end of february and still no news.
Official rollout has started already you just have to wait till they release for your area or carrier. Or alternatively you could flash custom rom
