my phone is dead it wont turn on
adb dont show devices when i conect it i do a downgrade from gingerbread to froyo and it wont turn on it did not show anything in the screen it wont turn on when i plug the usb cable on pc or charger plz help
Try to write exactly what you have done, then maybe somebody could understand what have you done and will recomend you what to do.

Try connecting USB cable from PC to your phone with out battery....

I have a tmobile hd2 flashed with CR192 Desire HD rom, and yesterday it was working fine then when i plug it in pc only the charge light comes on. Ive tried un/checking faster data sync, un/checking when phone is on do not charge when connected to a pc. i have done a soft reset and a hard reset. When I got into tri color boot loader it does go from Serial to Usb when connected to the comp. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
have you seen the choise screen on your phone?
If yes you have to make a choise of what to do.
If you dont pic anything it will stay at charging only..
no it doest come up at all, just the charging LED.
im able to flash roms from bootloader with no problems but it doesnt help with the problem.. tried different usb ports but dont have a different cable.
hi i just tried to upgrade my friends galaxy s from eclair to gingerbread bt it failed at odin n its stucked on black screen of death ie phone-!-pc .Now i cant set it back to download mode neither pc recognize it . i m in delimma heard abt usb jig bt i cant get it here since i m in hostel is there any other way to boot it back to download mode?

yes i rebooted my pc n tired on other 2 pc too.also changed the usb cable bt no luck .
and the "downloading" screen doesnt shows up?
just hold the 3 key salute buttons to go back, with the USB cable plugged in, to go back to Download mode
you did keep the usb cable plugged in?

No need to, you can reach download mode with or without the usb cable.

Hi guys
I recently bought a defy plus (bl7) , rooted it and installed ms2ginger. Since yesterday it's USB is not working for data transfer or anything except for charging, the device wont charge even using the data cable, however it charges through a charger. I want to get it repaired since it's under warranty, but with custom ROM i can't. I have a stock sbf file with me, but it can't be flashed with no working USB. Is there any way to flash custom sbf through the recovery..?
things i have tried :
Used different USB cables
Tried on ubuntu, arch linux, windows xp, windows 7

Does it charge on the usal power supply? If yes, get CM7 zip on your sd-card and flash it in cwm!

well, it does charge, but it doesnot really detect a USB cable connected to computer, it just gets the screenlight on, thats it. there is no option to choose which mode i want to connect it as... it charges only from the charger, and for USB connected to computer, it wont even charge, just gets the screen light on.
Even if i boot from recovery and mount my sdcard, it still doesnt shows up on computer.
Update : RSDLite detects it, flashed my stock sbf over it, i hope if i get a warranty.. but weird thing is.. if RSDLite works.. why not usb works on PC.. i tried this with linux and windows both, in linux it doesnt even populate this device in /dev node.. this is really weird, even stock firmware doesnt detect USB, doesnt even charges from it.. just gets the backlight on.. rest it charges through the charger. totally confused..

Another update, lsusb on linux lists the device, RSDLite always detects it..and it does let me flash perfectly.. on phone it occasionally detects USB... whenever it does not, if i toggle ADB option in settings, it shows that USB is connected in status bar, however setting value there has no change, but SOMETIMES it does detect the USB.. i dont think its a hardware fault, if it was it wouldnt be detected by RSDLite...
i have tried changing the rom too, tried ms2ginger, stock, and Cyanogenmod 9 and 10.. all give the same issue.. only one advantage i get in Cyanogenmod is that it charges over USB, that's it.. it detects it as a charger...
In recovery menu as well i cant mount it.. Please Help.. anyone? :crying:

are you using windows 8.1?
when you plug in your phone and it just shows charging without the option to enable mass storage simply plug in any other usb dongle like a wireless mouse and you will suddenly see it will say usb connected in the status bar
you might have to unplug the phone usb and then put it back in then plug in the other usb dongle first

I had a problem with security boot and after patching wrong "aboot.bin" it doesn't work Currently when i'm trying to turn it on, it only vibrates and nothing else happen. When I plug in the USB and connect it to the PC, phone also vibrates but isn't detected. When i put the battery off and connect the charger or usb it shows screen about not battery plugged.
Please help me and explain how to make it detected again.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do at this point.. If you are still under warranty, just return the phone, they will probably change its motherboard or just change the phone itself. I have also been in the same situation as you, I tried everything, but nothing worked..

Can you get into the download mode? Vol + and then plug a cable into your phone
And i have same problem,but no one dont know how to resolve this...
Are you install corect LG USB drivers ?
