How stable has MIUI been lately? I was an avid fan back in the GB days but haven't been keeping up since their early versions of ICS (which were quite laggy). Has the themes support been fully implemented yet?
hope some dev catches on to it, dont have any left for miui ics

Yea, I ran MIUI 4.0.4 at one stage, it was really laggy and some of the themes were in a different language, and the themes didnt always work.

It's great on my Nexus.
Anybody knows how to use the new "free laucher"?
I just flashed 2.8.17 but I see the "standard" MIUI launcher.
Well the LCD-off bug is present and for some reason my lockscreen is lagging. Anyone else with the same problems?
Edit: Also I'm missing the reboot to recovery restart option =(

Does the launcher feel laggy after some time?
Ok, I had a plan for modifying and cooking with multi-lang rom.
But, I just tried JB miui, and disappinted by low performace.
(Maybe cm10 is faster.)
Also, I cannot highly-modified miui because lack of time

is this rom fast at all? miui seems quite decent at least the gingerbread builds were. The ics one kind of lagged to much for my liking, so

Probably won't see much of a difference since MIUI already ran at 60fps.

Hey guys, we just launched the TV Show Favs 3.0 beta. Many, many improvements. We could really use some beta testers if anyone is interested. You can see some screen shots on our Google+ page as well as get the link to download the beta. Here is direct link to our post with the app download:

Offline function alone is a great news!
EDIT : How! Impressive
The launch is very fast as the rest of the interface, the new design is slick (tested on my TouchPad), you really made a good job!
i love it, it looks soooo goood, but I really miss the widgets, any idea when the beta that includ widgets will be released?
Thanks
I hope to have the widgets available by Monday of next week.
Yes! Been using your app for a loooong time, and i use it every day (Yes, i'm rocking Premium version), so i'll have to take a look at this. Thanks

Ok, installed and tried it. It's really good, but i did find one bug; nothing shows up in "My Schedule".
Edit: One more thing. I'm using the Galaxy Note with a 1280x800 resolution screen, and the background (dark theme) is in low quality which includes banding. Is it 16 or 24-bit?
Do you have any screen shots of the banding issue? Regarding the schedule, are you sure you have the screen configured in a way that should give results (shows with schedule enabled, proper start and end times, etc.)?
Yup, here it is (god i hope you can see it lol)

Just bumping the thread up a bit.
Bought the current version of the main app some time ago and have been using it quite a bit, it's a great tool. The beta is even more awesome. I can wait for the widget, I'd like to see the social stuff soon too. Gotta spam my facebook wall y'know
Wowww!!! just awesome!! slick fast and really beautiful on ICS, Galaxy S I9000..
The only issue is that it doesnt have http://www.myepisodes.com import support..
I have over 55(!!) shows.. and inserting each of them into your db would take forever.. any way you could support importing the stats from that site?
I would certainly buy that app when it's get released with that feature..
Edit:
Bug report:
App crashes when marking whole seasons as watched too fast..

Here's a short post to tell y'all that I believe I have found the perfect phone. Its name is the Galaxy S II...
I've owned it since the first day my French carrier released it in June.
Like all of us, I've tweaked it in any conceivable way and tried quite a few exotic things (including pre-pre alpha ics builds) and now, I feel I don't really need to tweak it anymore because my combo feels just about perfect:
Revolution Rom 4 + Siyah kernel 2.4.2 + newly updated adw launcher ex with neon theme.
Fast, reliable, perfect.
Thank you for your attention. You may resume normal activity.

Same setup here, it's extremely snappy. I prefer Launcher Pro I find it smoother, but yeah that's a great setup.
Make sure you get the second version of 2.4.2 which includes sched_mc=1 which saves battery, I find it smoother too.

Nothing is perfect.
Agree that no phone is perfect. You should say this is the best phone you have ever used instead. I was going to try same setup as you do and now I'm convinced.
It would be great IF it had a better audio chip. That is my only knock against it. The music quality is very poor even with my good earbuds. Bummer...
The perfect phone is one that elates me to planes equivalent to where vegetable matter would take me. Other than that, the sgs 2 is close.
Nothing is perfect but some things are closer to perfection than others, the sgs2 being one of them.

did u guys try MiUi by any chance ????????? its just awsome.
after i flashed miui i can't think of another way to make this phone even more perfect (except flashing miui 4.0 which is coming soon)
The perfect ultimate phone will have a feature that allows you to have 2 SIM cards which simultaneously work, this will probably be a long time coming but im sure it will happen, how cool would it be to have just 1 phone (i have 2 mobiles a SGSII and a Samsung Tocco - 1 Irish SIM and 1 UK SIM) where you can make a receive calls and use all the features, or just switch one off and have the other one on,etc, etc i do know there are dual SIM adapters but as far as im aware this doesn't allow you to have both SIM cards on at the same time you need to switch from one to the next.

MIUI ROM's for me is more style over substance, im not saying it's not good but there are far better ROM's out there.
It's not even perfect yet. ICS has yet to come out both unofficially and officially.
Still, the audio chip is still ****. No big deal anyway, I've learned to bear with it.
The perfect phone is different for everyone. But I agree with ccl. That combo is pretty damn close for me. I also undervolted mine btw and clocked up to 1400. Same battery time as before. Even better performance.

I wish it was a bit more stable but hey, whatcha gonna do lol. I went back to CyanogenMod 9.1 because I got sick of the bugs (I'm a perfectionist and I like everything working)
Sad that I had to go back to FC09, but otherwise its great!
Is there a page that breaks down what the nightlies have resolved? I have been flashing for over a week now and several issues are still there. Not that I expect them to fix them all instantly, but just to let them know what they are in a noncomplainy way. It is a great ROM, way smoother than CM9 was for me.

I had issues with CM9. I can't remember all of them but I only used it fro a couple of weeks and switched away. When I installed CM10 unofficial alpha 5 I (I think it was) I was in love. I have run it for 3 weeks and love it. GPS took forever to lock but that was my only complaint. I installed the latest CM10 tonight that has the CM boot animation and I assume CM's own tweaks instead of being stock JB and they switched one thing that will drive me crazy. They have the touchkeys backlight turning off after 5 seconds or something like that. I really want them on any time the screen is on. If they allow me to change that I will be a happy man.
That's the way the lites work on stock. out after no activity for 5 secs.

Probably not, S-Pen is not specificaly android but Samsung software.
You can track progress here.
The builds have started, they're at letter E at the moment (it's going alphabetical).
The build should be up in about 3-4 hours.
Also don't get your hopes up. Everything is working means that the camera is still lagging when switching back to front, probably crashes on 1st photo with flash.
As usual in CM there's no FM radio, no HDMI out and battery life will probably suck compared to a stock rom. Yay for CM10 anyway. I'm not going to bother after what I experienced on my I9100 and I9300.
I'll post a link to the build when it's done.

Don't count on it. Consider the S-Pen functionality gone as well as multi window support.
You will get a plain CM / AOSP experience. No extra apps, just basic stuff.
Also the camera extra functions will be gone, only basic photo/video recording will work.
I see some builds have failed already from today, I wonder if the N7100 will fail as well. We have to wait and see.
i rather cm add aptx support and multi window than spen features

It's the same version for all devices. As you can see in the bbqlog, there isn't a notice of a new android version. It will be another 4.1.2 nightly .zip which you have to flash and then flash gapps 4.1.2 afterwards (or the buggy 4.2 apps if you prefer those).
We will have to wait a bit until the CM team get up to speed with the new 4.2 sources which have been released only yesterday (hence yesterday's "stable" builds and code freeze for version 10.0.0). Since 4.2 is still called Jelly Bean, and is still 4.x then CM will change version number to 10.1.x, I think since the team consists of experts of the matter we can expect 4.2 builds to come fairly quick. The most important thing is to setup the device tree with blobs and proprietary stuff which nebkat already did! Big props to you!
I9300 is building now, if it doesn't fail I think we're good to go, since N7100 shares lots of dependancies and files with it.

PARANOIDANDROID has changed everything! in this piece of software you get to change the DPI of your phone without wasting time, it allows you to do it for every app like youtube , browsers and other apps. If you have used a Galaxy Nexus a Nexus 4 you could enable the pretty software keys without troubling yourself , modifying build.prop flashing and flashing then finally screwing your phone up now its in a bundle of awesomeness you can use "Tablet Styled" Settings like in the Nexus 7 all your settings in one window! Finally comes Battery and performance you can feel the power in Paranoid Android!

PLEASE READ: there is no phone at the moment, but pretty much everything else works, most people here on the tbolt forum have upgraded from it and no longer use it as their daily driver, but still use it; this is the only reason why I am uploading this rom the way it is, if you are one of those people, this rom will work just fine for you.

Does data work in yours and does phone fc for you on startup? I was able to get data working in the port I made over a year ago but couldn't get the mic or speaker to work in call.

Phone fc's on startup, this version is w/out phone. The phone from the rezound version of pa could work since it's verizon. Did you port from the DHD as well?
Yea. Exact same ROM. The problem is because of porting a gsm phone. I tried the droid incredible 2 since it is identical spec wise to the bolt with the lack of lte which causes its own problems. The rezound version is doubtful at best to work at all because it is dual core and the resolution is higher so resizing would be a pain in the ass. I can fix the phone fc but I am at a loss to fix the audio issues I have in call.

the rezound port booted for about a minute then went into boot loop. Gonna try using the phone & telephony provider from rezound in the DHD port. How did you fix the phone fc?
I had to decompile and modify the phone apk, framework.jar, services.jar and telephony-providers.jar. Its a long process. I probably spent 40-50 hours editing and looking through code trying to fix the audio issues.

The rezound may end up with a working phone but data probably won't work and if it does it will be spotty at best. The ril would need to be ported as well as all the libs.

so, you think I should try using the libs and phone from the rezound in the dhd port?
tried using phone and ril libs as well as apns conf but no dice
No I'm saying use the base ROM phone and libs in your rezound port. I doubt it will do anything but bootloop though. The CPU isn't the same in the rezound so getting it to boot will be difficult.

This looks awesome! I loved PA on my DINC2... i really hope you guys can get the phone working! Thanks for the hope
First CM9, now this? Great work, devs! I'm going to try out CM9 tonight, and when the phone works with PA I'll give that a shot too. Thanks for making my phone less intolerable until I can replace it!

Thanks! No problem, give Galaxy Clone a try after CM9, it's perfect daily driver material!
