So I was wondering if anyone was facing this? I'm on paranoidandroid rom running trinity kernel at 1500 and my n7 turns off. When i was on stock this wasn't happening.

I had a similar problem.
The nexus turned off around 15% and it was problematic turning on again.
Ended up installing stock with nexus toolkit and rooting.
Everything is working fine now!

So it has something to do with the custom roms?

Mine runs all the way down to 1% on the stock rom, never had this issue, but then again I haven't used any roms yet :silly:

Loving the n4 however having issues with 4.2
Wife has a nexus 7 which had 0 issues with WiFi and Bluetooth before the update and now has issues with both. My nexus 4 is having the very same issues as well now.
I wish I made a nandroid when I first got the phone but of course I was too eager right away and updated. I searched for 4.1.2 but have had no luck.
Anyone else know?

i think it came with a prerelease software of 4.2... i don't think we ever had 4.1.2.. not sure didn't check before ota..
You had no luck because the device never had 4.1.2 to begin with.

Well I'll be. That would explain it lol.

I currently am running android 4.1.2 and everything is factory stock on my 32 GB N7. I want to use 4.2.1 but do not want the battery died ain and charging issues. I wondering if there are any good ROMs and/or kernels to use that would be similar to the stock 4.2.1 but without the battery drain and charging issues. Any suggestions would be great.

I'm currently using Paranoid Android b9 with m-kernel a25. Right now I can get two full days out of it if I forget to plug it in at night. There are still a few bugs, but the customizability makes it worth it to me.
I was using SmoothROM before, which ran great. If you're looking for something closer to stock, you might take a look at that one.

Rasbean with trinity is a good near stock experience with minor useful mods. As for not wanting to use stock 4.2.1 due to battery issues, I wouldn't worry about it. I ran complete stock unrooted 4.2.1 since I got my 32GB 7 (mid November) until yesterday when I finally rooted and flashed rasbean, and had excellent battery life.
As for charging, people been complaining about it being slow since before 4.2. Mine doesn't take any longer than my g'nex even with 3 times the battery.

I'm using paranoid android 2.99 and franco kernel. Love the tab ui
rasbean with trinity. close to stock, but better :victory:
I'm on CM10.1 nightly and it has been smooth so far. It feels almost the same as stock, with some great perks.
Hey so I've been running aokp for a few days now, and suddenly I noticed that the sound isn't working, not for notifications, not for music, videos, anything. Not even when the headset is plugged in. So I flashed my stock Rom backup and it still isn't working, any ideas?? Thanks!

Ok this is weird, sound just started working on my stock Rom. Haven't tried aokp yet, the restore backup of stock Rom took 30 minutes and I need to sleep soon so I don't want to risk hanging to stay awake for it, it normally takes 3 minutes to restore backups though, idk what's wrong

I'm having a pretty same problem here, the only difference is that I'm running Paranoid Android on my Nexus 4. Do you find any solution yet?
i understand that uv/oc messes with phones and tablets in the long run but will just flashing a kernel effect it also?
No. Absolutely not.

If anything, some kernels could probably be better for you.
Thanks allot both of you guys. I've been going from phone to phone flashinshing cynagonmod on almost all of them. Till I finally got a nexus 4 but was not so happy with battery. But will be flashing a new kernel. Also I'm running pacman ROM on it so and vice for kernels??????

hey, my nexus 7 does not realize that it is plugged in while i have it on, either into the stock charger, or into a computer usb port, however, once the tablet is turned off, it will recognize that it is charging, and only take a few hours to charge...
any ideas what my issue may be?
currently running cleanrom, but was using sentinalrom before, and was getting the same issue with it.
I have the same problem since upgrading to 4.3 . It is very annoying to have to leave it turned off while recharging.
I am running stock unrooted.

And out of nowhere it started working again since this morning.
