This is a clean port of the US P7510 firmware that was released very recently.

Changelog
Version 2 - Fixed low power mode charging animation. Changed all P7510 to P7310 in build.prop except fingerprint. Rooted out-of-the-box.
Version 1 - First release. The only things changed is kernel, kernel modules and one line added build.prop (to fix screen rotation).
Instructions
- Flash with Clockwork recovery (I use 6.0.0.8 from the CM9 thread but most versions should work).
- Remember to wipe!
- For me the first boot is with completely black screen but I can hear the boot sound. After a while it reboots and this time the screen is on and the bootanimation can be seen. No idea if it will do the same on all devices. Do not panic, just wait it and it should reboot (at least it does for me).
- Compass does not work correctly, likely due to the different screen rotation on our device but it never worked in official 3.2 anyway so I guess we're used to it not working.
- HDMI is 90 degrees rotated.
Everything done at your own risk, as usual...

I used the ICS kernel source (GT-P7510_ICS_Opensource_Update2.zip) from Samsung and compiled it using the supplied samsung_p5wifi_defconfig without doing any changes. Seems like all the p5/p5wifi bits are in place in the p4/p4wifi kernel source.
I've tried to keep it as clean as possible. I'm sure others will root, deodex and tweak it later.
I might do one for the P7300 using the italian P7500 firmware if time allows.

I don't think it will be a problem. As I wrote before I tried to keep it as clean as possible only doing the bare minimum of changes needed. I'm sure we will soon see tweaked versions.

This might get you in trouble with the mods
I have just installed this ROM and have no problems with the camera - did you wipe cache, dalvik etc as normal. I wipe everything possible before flashing a new ROM, better safe than sorry I think. Always produced the best results for me and I am not bothered about having to re-install after as I don't have much on my tablet. A very noobie attitude but my choice.

sure there's no problem with the tf101 , this rom was built for that . but he and myself are running the sl101 which is only slightly differerent. there is a compatibility pack for ICS roms but no one had made one for JB yet.
not only is the rear camera flipped but the software keyboard will not work either. physical keyboard is always set to on whether in tablet mode or slider mode . turning physical keyboard switch to off does nothing.

I have the same issue.
What is really annoying is that my Nandroid backup did not fix the issue.
Apparently there is a piece of kernel/drivers missing.
Camera upside down, no wifi.
An update to CM 9 or 10 fixes wifi, not the camera.
Using roation locker I can live with the keyboard issue, but not with the camera.
This sucks, I hope anyone has a solution.
Other problem is I tried to revert to default firmware, but I have a modded recovery, so the Asus script does not work and 1-click tool is unable to detect the device. adb just does not see the device with the nandroid restore and on CM 9 it says no ICS.
Any help is greatly appreciated/

Having the same problem here, I believe that there is a need for a lidpatch (SL101, not TF101)

There is no compatible 4.1-4.4 ROM or compatability pack for the slider yet...
There is a compatibility pack only for 4.0 ROMs...

There is now promising progress with porting KatKiss4.4.2 .
There is no compaitible ROMs further than 4.0.3 for now....

Have a look in the right side you See the cam Symbol if you tab this it opens a little menu straight left in it you See a ball this is photosphere

Power button bug is still here on 2012-12-23. It doesnt turn on many times and I have to press it for a while till restart. Any ideas?

I've heard that this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1823696 ) works with CM10.1. Use with caution though, I'm not sure if those posts were credible or if they worked at all.

NO, but we are working on a environmentally green kernel that will allow you to run everything at half speed and get battery life of 3 months per charge. As fast as this tab is, you won;t even notice the difference..:cyclops:

There isn't photosphere's symbol. Only panorma mode, camera and video.

Do this 4.2 Have multiple user support???

No where in the thread does it say that the kernal works on cm 10.1! I've tested it and while it did boot it hangs when it upgrading android so no it doesn't work. Maybe it'll get fixed to work in the future maybe not....

People say that hangs on boot Mang, def doesn't work....
Edit: my bad didn't see the post above mine.... Also I have no photosphere either, only panorama and video and still same as some... Someone with working photosphere do me a kind one and post a link to the gapps u used ?

If u use ti backup, DO NOT RESTORE YOUR DATA WHEN U RESTORE YOUR APPS.... YOU WILL BREAK APPS FROM UPDATING AT THE VERY LEAST AND WILL PROB BREAK SOME ALL TOGETHER... ASUMING U DONT BREAK YOUR INSTALL.... ONLY RESTORE JUST THE APPS NOT THE DATA WITH TI BACKUP...

Oh and PS:
Do not back up and restore system apps, that will def EFF u up
Your best bet:
Use a root exploring file manager,
Navigate to /data/app , and copy the apps you want to save and paste them to your SD card
Next repeat except from /system/app (be care full here u really prob don't need anything from here, but just check, and remember only downloaded market apps)
After upgrading use file manager to install from SD card ( navigate to where they are and click on them and let droid install them)
HINT: THE FIRST TIME U TRY TO INSTALL IT WILL WARN YOU ABOUT UNKNOWN SOURCES... PRESS THE SETTING BUTTON THAT WILL POP UP AND WHEN IT BRINGS U TO THE CORRECT SETTINGS PAGE CLICK THE CHECKBOX NEXT TO UNKNOWN SOURCES...

I have the same "problem" I only have the normal Panorama, but Photosphere is mising.
Using cm-10.1-20121223-NIGHTLY-p5110.zip with GAPS 4.2...

Please put more information, a post to a link is almost nothing!!
Why should I install this (supposed) ROM?

you should put more information about what you are sharing otherwise perhaps the correct place would be General area and not development.
Also, wifi is one of the most important features in a smartphone. Without this is pretty much useless. (in my opinnion)

now it can install in the u8800, i have tested it, the only bug is wifi .

i am sorry , i am not always in the xda ,so i do not know some orders , the rom is ported from u8800pro . now the only bug is wifi that i found. the other everything is ok. i do not cheat anyone.

A question? Is need to change the partition size?

My partitions are already resized and honestly I can't revert to original ones.
Tried many times and the phone simply won't accept it.
- Well, just installed this rom and is booting ATM and the boot screen is Cyanogenmod.......
- Starts in Chinese so we need to know the way to change the language (its easy)
- No Google store nor gapps
- I know wifi is not working but won't even turn on
- Kernel is [email protected] #98
- Everywhere showing as U8800pro
This is CyanogenMod rom JB and I was thinking that was an official U8800pro ported to U8800...
Indeed looks promissing if someone could fix the wifi. Hope someone does.

Smartisan OS out for Note 2

As the title states this Chinese ROM has been released for our phone. From what I gather it is similar to MIUI in the sense of it being a rather hefty redesign of the default Android UI.
Did anyone get to try it on their phone ?

Edit:
US English available as system language.
Not prerooted but a search for smartisan on XDA gave a flashable zip from sgs3 section that sorted that.
Quite iOS:ish impression on the whole.
Responsive and snappy UI.

Tried it. Fairly decent. Superficially, the 3x3 grid size is off-putting. Even the 4x4 grid size isn't any better. Apart from that, very responsive and snappy ui as reported by blorro. All in all, good for a weekend experiment.

Was just about to reflash to another ROM and the OTA Updater on Smartisan notified of an Alpha Update.
Seemingly some call recording functions added now and recording editing possibilities.
The clock seems to get an overhaul as well.

No S-Pen features , Smartisan featured camera with "Narcissist-mode" on front camera, Gyro sensor-enabled back camera.

How's it for a daily driver? Any knows issues? Camera/Sound/calls all working fine?

Been running it as a daily for past 3 days, no issues detected.
Make sure you have updated CWM recovery since it's 4.2.2
Backup EFS (Dr Ketan has a good tool for it,check his thread)
install from .zip as usual.

For those like me, do test in Chinese rom Smartisan OS, and want to root, use this link, and flash in recovery, go to the icon Su and run it, it worked for me in 90%, reinstalled my APPs by Titatiun Backup just can not acessoa the backup folder Titaniun that is on the card, but transfer this folder to the internal memory and I could install 90% of my apps.

Flashed , then i ran titanium restore w/o issues.
After flashing update via OTA, root access was kept.

I have downloaded the ROM but before going ahead I want to ask whether this is SDS safe or not and would it change the modem also as if it change the modem there are chances of efs corrupt

Wouldn't know anything about SDS bug I'm guessing its fixed since this is CM based.
My modem did not get changed, always backup EFS before playing around.

Which kernel it is showing if it is cm kernel then it is SDS proof

Well,CM kernel it is. 3.0.64 -CM.
