Jelly Bean Glass - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm interested in making both my nexus 7 and galaxy nexus as transparent as possible. I've been editing framework-res.apk but on reboot all i get is a boot loop which is weird since i only changed theme stuff. Anyone have any ideas?

[Q] A question regarding native dialer and 4.2.2 update

I have enabled native dialer by modifying framework-res.apk in my Nexus 7 3G with JB 4.2.1.
Now my question is, will the native dialer stay if i upgrade to 4.2.2? Did anybody try? Pls share. Thanks a lot.

I don't believe it will, because when you upgrade it wipes/resets all the system settings.
Just a guess but.

It will revert that change. You will have to remodify your framework-res to re enable your dialer.

Is there any place to download the dialer-enabled framework-res for 4.2.2?
I have bricked my nexus 7 a few times when I was doing the 4.2.1 framework-res modification. I had to restore the factory image to unbrick it. Finally I downloaded one somewhere and worked

Disabling the transparent navbar/statusbar on lock screen?

OK, after using a custom 4.4 ROM for a while I got tired of the GEL launcher and the transparent status bar/navbar. So I flashed the nexus 4 factory image to complete stock and it has the navbar set to black everywhere but the lock screen it seems, so I wanna make it black again. Anyone know how? I would flash another ROM if there's one that has it, any suggestions?

I'm running Carbon with hellscore. I believe carbon gives you the option to change colors in your statusbar. I hope that's what you're looking for?

Grouping icons in folders / what a pain

Greetings,
I successfully flashed SLIM 4.4.2 build 2.8 RC3 on my Nexus 4 (mako).
I find it very difficult to drag icons over folders. They keep bumping each other. I am eventually able to do it, but it takes several attempts.
It is very frustrating. :crying:
The same would happen with Cyanogenmod 10 and 11, but not as much as I a experiencing with slimkat.
Thanks.

What launcher have you been using? No problem here on slimkat either with the stock launcher or apex.

Request for AOSPA 7.2.1 Boot Animation

Would anyone be willing to share the bootanimation.zip from AOSPA 7.2.1? I would really love to see the boot animation on my phone because Paranoid Android isn't supported with my device. :crying:
Note: Thanks to franlimon6 for the boot animation but if anyone has the boot animation in 1080p (like a OnePlus 3) please share.
