hi every body.can someone please give me some advice to how to cook xda uc in leo rom.because i tried to cook this package without any success.thanks
XDA UC has a complete thread all to itself. Check this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562568&highlight=XDA_UC
You can check the XDA UC thread as the post before mine suggests, but that thread is very difficult to find any answers in. Believe me, I've tried.
You need to be a bit more specific about your cooking technique though if you want some help. For example, what type of kitchen are you using? If you are trying to use this package exactly as you have it posted, it needs to be with your OEMs and not your EXTs, if you're using a VK kitchen.
Also, are you able to run the XDAUC.mscr file directly from \Windows? or is it not there. If it's not there, then clearly something is wrong in your kitchen..

You you want a solid help you must give us as many information as you can ..such:
Which packages are you cooking in?
What the exact problem?
It work after a soft reset?
I dont use xda Uc but i know that it has some problems with Oobe package and RunCC, in this case you must set RunCC to make a Soft Reset after the first boot up.

I see all themes ive wanted required "deodexed", but yet I cant find any information on how to "deodexed" lease.link.me.to.solution:
Thanks
allow me to assist you in your search:
http://tinyurl.com/27q5ml8
...wise guy huh
"De-odex: Apk files have respective odexes that devs use to supposedly save space. Deodexing means you convert it back to a .dex file and put it back inside the apk. This allows you to easily replace files (not having to worry about odexes), but the main point was to deodex services.jar so that you can change all text to different colors (such as the clock color to white) and to deodex services.jar, you need to deodex everything. "
I understand this aspect...but is there like a guide for (apparently) noobs? As that is what I can seem to find....
perhaps you should read a little in the dev forum??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1162764
found it all the way on page 3...and i also found it by.... GOOGLING: deodex atrix
i also found it using the XDA SEARCH feature...remarkable thing it is: deodex atrix
sorry if you find these responses sarcastic, but for pete's sake...i had to do a SEARCH to find it....and find it I did. i cant imagine your search would be that different.
also, this should have been posted in Q&A, and any custom rom you are on is probably ALREADY deodexed...as its basically a standard that everyone does when building a rom.......
...must be my browser results thats failing No worries man, I reply the same way on other msg.brds that I have been on for since 2002 (other topics apparently LOL). Thanks alot.
.tft file
I had come across mention of this tft file several times here on xda forum.
Now what is actually a tft file.
Does this file really exist. Or is this a blunt and a gross spelling mistake by several individuals here.
If it does exist,Do the xperia models new and old have to use it sometime. When?
If it is a non existence file refferal then there is a problem.
The first time I came across the said file was a refferal to a firmware I was looking for.Later I found out from someone else that what I needed was a ftf file.
Since than on several occasions I had come across the exact same refferal files from others on different threads and devices.
The odd thing about this is,its the older members of this forum who are giving out this refferals.
And to whom?Newbies/noobs.
If it is a genuine file than I would like to apologize to everyone on this forum for creating another uncalledfor thread.
But if it is not, than I recommend that anyone giving information to others, which is a noble thing that you guys do,to please proofread what have been written.
My apologies.

Tft file is file that has the file extension .tft. roms and firmwares have them and they are generally stock rom/firmware. You'll need one, for example "xperiaarcstockics.ftf" when you want to flash it on your phone with the program "flashtool".
Essentially, it is a file that allows you to "reformat" you phone through the program flashtool

Just adding some stuff.
It is FTF file format.
And can be used only to install back STOCK ROM. No custom stuff.
FTF = FlashTool File
Could be ftf., and yes, as mention above.
I had been reading from the posted link but everything mentions about stuff which are not related to firmwares.
The only passage that links remotely to android is the use of Nidesoft DVD to Sony Xperia converter.
And I truly am unclear of the stuff written there.Thank god I am not in your shoes.(Developers)
But why refer newbies to such files in the first place. Why ask them to get this in tft.
I didn't know what tools to use to open such files until jiman mentions about flashtool at the end of her passage.
I've also scouted for a .tft file to try to use flashtool and open it but to no avail.
There is nothing on xda with a .tft file.Been scrolling for more than two hours. just to get a small sized .tft.
Imagine that.

You won't find any .tft file, just because it's clearly a gross spelling mistake as you stated in your first post...
The actual and real file extension for flashtool is .FTF , and not .TFT...
Read carefully what wrote Jiman :
"Tft file is file that has the file extension .tft. roms and firmwares have them and they are generally stock rom/firmware. You'll need one, for example "xperiaarcstockics.ftf"
He made himself that spelling mistake while trying to explain you...
so, long story short, .tft file don't exist in our Xperia world

The link provided is actually quite irrelevant because it's a custom rom as opposed to stock rom which is the one FTF is usually concerned with. Examples of an FTF file -
Xperia Arc - lt15
Xperia Arc S - lt18
The ones provided are quite large in size because it's got the whole 'Operating System' of your phone (So to speak) in 1 massive file which you then 'flash' onto your phone with flashtool. Here's a really nice visual guide as to how to do so
Edit
I was looking to download Odin 3.09 so that I can be ready to revert to stock in case things go horribly wrong. But the thread that everything seems to point to for downloads appears to have had the download links removed.
There are lots of sketchy download locations out there on the web but I can't seem to find a good one on these forums anywhere.
I just Googled this--
Seems legit--check it out--:good:

The dropbox link you provided is actually blocked by chrome when it is downloaded as being suspicious.
And yes, I tried to Google before posting. In fact I downloaded a copy from one of the locatiosn that were the top search results and my antivirus quarantined the executable it as soon as it was unzipped.
Why is there no official site hosting downloads by the author?
Not sure of your issues--I had no problem using the DB link and I am on Chrome.
Also, I forgot to post the link to my Google Search--didn't mean to imply you need to go do that, I don't post that way--Sorry
Here it is, I just uploaded to my DB--It will auto download--

Why were the links removed from the thread that everyone else points to?
Is there at least a checksum that I can use on this provided version?
That's up to dev
But, thread was closed which usually means links too--
Doesn't the link I gave you work anymore

Yes, it downloaded fine.
But I try to be a little wary of running executables downloaded from a thread with so few views (no offense). That's why I was asking about an official site, thread, or link with a checksum or something.

As I mentioned, when I did this, the the top result led to a download which triggered my antivirus as soon as it was unzipped.
Sorry for being blunt. But, I gave you a dl link in post 5. I extracted and opened it to the Odin screen. This is with Chrome on a highly secure company computer. No issues. So, I am confused on what else you want--
Forget about the links in the closed thread, it happens all the time.

I had d/led Odin 3.09 a while ago but forgot where I put it. I googled it recently and the first hit in google gave me the same antivirus warning. The second hit took me to one of those download pages where there's links to "Download" many things but were all crapware installers. One link said it would install Odin, and the file downloaded said it was odin, but it ran an installer that kept offering to install yet more crapware, and I had to keep unclicking the default crapware stuff like toolbars and such. Eventually it just exited without installing odin.
I then searched my hard drive and found where I had put it, a couple months ago...

So why is Odin this way. Why isn't there a main site where new versions are released? Why does it have to be passed around on forums?

Dude, don't download if you don't want to but it's what you need. Personally, I'd use v1.85. But I'm old school.

Wow I had a bad day and it gets worse--
jd said google and learn--
1. Samsung releases Odin versions
2. They are many places-http://www.samsungodindownload.com/--just one--it is also has other useful downloads
3. No one has "responsibility" to post them--our devs give enough of themselves
4. You can always start a thread--there may even be one on xda
Just read the whole thread @jmjoyas also gave you a link. Another trusted source in this forum

Yes, just make sure you have the latest version of it and you should be fine.
Using latest adhell3 from github, working perfect on pie.

You need APK Editor Pro. Use it to edit the package name (3,8,9 letters) line 6 in AndroidManifest.xml (XML File Edit). Don't forget to save the edited file and then generate new apk.
I have tried to update the adhell code from github ... and it messed up the entire build process ... the dev swithched to knox 3.3, and i guess that might cause my issue ..
having same issues either it gives me a 201 error even after multiple code recreations anddifferent versions. or it just closes and reasks for klm and we repeat tried creating own...still no go......any help....i had and forgot to just renew, so i accidently got rid of to recreate new...ooopps on my end and now i am here.......helllppp lol
I use apk easy tool for pc to decompile citizen v apk and modify the app name then compile and works great. I was having issues with apk editor pro on phone.
Just installed using this guide: https://is.gd/note9adhell
Pay attention that for Note 9, you need to edit the package name by editing AndroidManifest.xml, and not by using Basic Edit.
I used Basic Edit and it caused parse error.
So why do you guys all go through the process of compiling the app and all that other stuff when you can simply download the APK and install it.l, then enter your license key? I've been doing it that way for over 6 months, always worked perfectly. But today I downloaded the latest 3.1.1.290 and for some reason it won't accept my license key, it's always worked fine, I did start a thread about it and then found this so thought I'd post here too, see if anyone can help.

Probably because the dev doesn't recommend it and that's how other adblockers got black listed from Knox access. You don't even have to compile it.
You can use the app editor pro and edit the manifest.
Yours isn't working because you didn't modify probably....
I see quite a bit of misinformation in this and similar threads. Please keep in mind that AdHell3 is NOT supported on XDA. For official and up-to-date information about the AdHell3 project, please visit:
