Hi, first of all sorry for creating an entire thread for this but really I had to.
The thing is one of my friend owns this device and he has it running on Froyo, and he wanna upgrade it to Gingerbread. Now I am quite sure that's it's possible but I never read topics here, so can't be sure.
So I am requesting Defy mates who already pushed theirs to GB from Froyo to please mention the process/guidance for me, I need it my tomorrow.
Even if it's just as simple as an Odin flash also then please mention it. You know as it's not my device thus I've to be more than 100% sure.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

Hey Guys, I need your help for 2 problems.
Info:
I have a Motorola Defy MB525 wich I flashed a wrong or a higher version, so now I have a Defy based on a Chinese ROM (JORDN_U3_97.21.51) because I can't downgrade, flashed a custom ROM (CM9) and now I will explain the 2 problems:
First Problem:
I can't connect with my PC, there is no notification for USB mounting on my phone, before I could connect it from the froyo
Sec Problem:
My phone is recognized as ME525 when I flash froyo after the Chinese ROM (JORDN_U3_97.21.51), how can I change it to MB525?
Thx guys in advanced

Hi Expertises,
I just find this wonderful forum. But I do not know much about smartphone. I would like to upgrade my phone to Jelly Bean from the official version android 2.2.2. My phone has not been rooted. Do anyone advise me how to upgrade my defy?
I bought my defy in Hong Kong.
Thanks so much!

Here's the All-in-one guide for Defy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216982 Read though this and have search the QA thread for questions you may have. Chances are they were already answered by someone and would save you the effort of starting a new thread each time.
My advice - try to go through the posts by user having problems while rooting or flashing a ROM, that way you'll learn what NOT to do... once you understand the process and have enough confidence, you can go ahead and flash JB.
