Best app for exchange email - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking for an app that I can use to check my work email. Preferably one that will auto discover my exchange server settings. Any suggestions??

Touchdown is the most flexible.

If not the stock mail client, I would vote for touchdown as well. I own a license for it and used it before and it was very good.

Not sure why auto-discovery is that big of deal, you only set it up once. but I have been using Touchdown for a long time. Our company uses it as a standard as well.

Try Moxier mail, better than Touchdow!

Best email app

What is the best email application? So far, the stock application seems to be most visually appealing and has most functionality, especially with exchange server email.
Does anyone recommend anything else that has a good look to it and function? I am on cm7 and it has a pretty bad email application IMHO. I have enhanced email as well, but no server search.
Ps, I prefer apps that integrate with android calendar and contacts, not separate apparently like touchdown( also hideously ugly) or moxier.
Thanks for your feedback.

Touchdown is good if you're synching with Exchange and you want a full function client.

Enhanced can be a bit buggy. Sometimes forwarded emails become total jargon.

I like Kaiten mail. It's based on the same engine as K9 email. Paid app.

No corporate calendar

I have added my work email account and my email syncs fine, but my calendar will not sync. Anybody having this issue?

Did you set it up through the email app or in settings > accounts.
I set mine up using the latter and my calendar syncs correctly.

I'm noticing the same thing. Can't get corporate calendar to show. Calendar
Says 'no calendars'
Facebook app doesn't sync contacts either

Make sure you are set up using an exchange account, and not imap. (exchange does USE imap for mail, though, so it is possible to set up an imap account instead)
Had to wipe exchange settings and redo. Once I did that it worked

Ditto. I thought I tried this once, but it worked this time. Sweet.

Email gmail groups

This is driving me mad. I've tried every workaround I can find, but it seems to be impossible on jellybean to send an email to contact groups.
Has anyone managed to get this to work?

Any ideas?

I've always hated the Gmail app. It was so ugly, un intuitive, and complicated. It's threaded messaging is a mess and confusing.
I always preferred HTC sense email when I used my phone.
Or better yet, windows phone 7 email is great.

Corporate Exchange

Am I missing something or is it Google, I can't find a way to search corporate Exchange directory for contacts with my nexus that are not on it yet? My Rezound can search for Exchange contacts and then add them to local contacts. Seems HTC has added a lot of little things that Google forgot.
Thanks

The HTC Sense Exchange support makes stock Android look like a joke, sadly.

Apparently auto sync needs to be enabled as without this, manual sync didn't work very well.

Yup. I believe all versions of Exchange 2k3 and above require autosync. Your SysAdmin should have let you know.

Mail client

Hi there, I am looking for a replacement maim client fully working with exchange to replace the stock one on my note 3. I love the programs installed on the HTC and Xperia 1. Are they available? Thanks in advance

No, I used stock mail client.

Yes the native mail client really sucks. Whenever I try move a mail to the folder it force closes.

There is an app in the Play store called "Enhanced Email" it doesn't have the aesthetics as others but it does what it does, very well.

Doesn't the K9 mail app work with Exchange?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
I have Tried almost all of them, the HTC one is the only putting In the Same folder as a conversation sent and received msg .
l love this feature
l am currently working with Droid mail, however it is lacking some feature like push and merging sent and received
