usb connection

i have a strange problem!
when i connect my phone to my laptop,it just do charging,,and m unable to use usbstorage,,kies,,or music option in usb settings...please help

If u have a home replacement app (ADW, Launcher Pro, etc), get the app "home switcher"from the Market and temporarily switch over to the TouchWiz launcher, before plugging in ur USB. Switch back after u've used Kies.
For USB mass storage mode, u can use USB DEBUGGING mode, when u plug in ur device and choose the required option from the notification panel.

Check USB settings in wireless and network
If this fails, provide details of firmware and change you have made

m on xxkpe...i dnt changed anything...i was using usb tethring on my laptop..but suddenly it goes off ..i reboted and d problem started

Ur welcome! It's a common problem regarding alternate launchers! I figured it out the hard way!

Vnc connection fail

VNC connection failed!
failed to connect to localhost/127.0.0.1 (port 5900):
connect failed: ECONNREFUSED (Connection refused)

You need to run the ubuntu script from a terminal session before running VNC.

I hv done all things right way 4m terminal nd all workes fine.i hv only prblm with vnc connection fail

Ok so what settings have you used in the vnc server, and can you screen shot the output from the terminal during boot up to check vnc is starting up within ubuntu

I was using different version of Ubuntu Script on Ubuntu V5.
And if you had done everything right, there would not have been a problem. Please explain more.

help me with this stupid wifi issue plz

I have got a bsnl router at home which i use for my desktop .it has an open wifi network(no security),but when i try to connect,it stays stuck on "obtaining ip address" and never connects .I tried the solution where they change to static ip and then uncheck that option,and internet connects for them,but it didn't work for me either. :banghead:

PS.-i live in pune,maharashtra.i have a routed galaxy y with custom rom,i had this problem on stock rom too,so that doesn't matter i guess

Do you maybe have MAC address filtering in router? Did you try connect mobile on some other router?

i had to reset my modem and disable Dchp,then i reconfigured my lan,and finally it worked.thanks bro

You have to search from the non-connected devices, not the S4

Pull up WiFI on the device you want connect, and have the list of available networks displayed, your hotspot will be one of them.

Yeah then you click on it I did that and it kept telling me my password was wrong.

Verify your password on your S4 in the Hotspot options by checking the box for "Show Password"
Use WPA2 Security
Try again
If you're positive it's right, try it as an open network.

My Gs4 is showing on my phones screen that Im connected but on my t.v. it says cant connect to your wireless network verify that the wireless router is turned on and you entered the password correctly. (Error code 014) this is ehat I keep getting.Im trying to connect to my wii.any help would be great. Thanks

Try it unsecured

When I try to connect it says your wireless network is connected. But the local network and the Internet will not connect.

And this is unsecured? It sounds like your are not getting the proper MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit)
Is this LTE, H+, H, 3g, EDGE, GPRS? LOL

Im on lte and I get fast speeds if thats what you mean.

This is so strange it shows my wii connected to my phone but when I try to make the connection on my t.v. only my wireless network connects.your local internet and the Internet will not connect. I have no idea what the problem is.any help I would greatly appreciate it. Takecare!!!

Hi guys , This is my first post .So please don't mind if i sound like an idiot
There's a guy working in my office whose wifi -hotspot(tethering) is always open (android jelly bean 4.2) and he's always reading stuff about hacking etc. I sometimes connect to it and surf the internet.What i want to know is that , Can he hack into my android phone (JB 4.2 ) if i am connected to his wifi hot spot ?
If yes , How ?
And how Can I prevent him from snooping on my phone ?
