3) Reboot to recovery

Thank you, I can't believe I really missed it...
EDIT: After all, I didn't miss it, I had some pages still open from the time when I asked this and there is no Thanks button but if I refresh it appears, so maybe it was some kind of problem in the forum.
can seem to get it to work
I installed it through recovery, tried both versions (online and offline) and with either of them, nothing new appears anywhere.
What am i doing wrong?

Hi first I know this is in the wrong place but I have only joined a few months ago so currently can't post in the developer forum so if someone can move this there it would be ace.
All thanks for this rom go to the Cyanogenmod team and the Leaf rom team, this is a sort of combination of the two to get sense and Android 2.3.3
This is the first release so could be a bit buggy, so please either comment on here or message me so these can be fixed! However it is based on two stable roms so shouldn't have too many problems

Hi sorry screenshots will be up soon and it has all the features of CM 7.03 so if you look on their website it will tell you all of the overclocking etc.
It has elements of Rosie sense at the moment I think the launcher is ADW but i shall fix this to the Rosie launcher in the next version as I think there is a package conflict there at the moment as to which launcher the system uses

Yeh it is fully rooted with superuser and overclocking again specifics like the amount of overclocking will have to be answered by CM website and the CM version used is the stable 7.03

Still running 2.4.20 MIUI... was tempted to try ICS but now seems everyone is looking toward to Jelly bean. Only feature I care about in Jelly Bean was the voice actions.
Other than that I'll take MIUI any day.

Good work, man. This latest ROM is definitely better than previous ones. Aside from the typical things that are not working, like camera, for example, the transitions and response is considerably better but obviously not ready for extensive daily use just yet. I will provide more detailed report later on. But just wanted to say "thank you" for your hard work.

Yes, using StreakMod recovery.
1) Do a Nandroid backup.
2) Clear Dalvik, Cache and Factory Reset from StreakMod.
3) Factory reset from main recovery menu. This step isn't always necessary, but doesn't hurt.
4) Flash this zip. Also flash gapps and superuser.zip from the other ICS thread for Google Apps and root.
5) Reboot and enjoy ICS MIUI!

I got a DS 5 from my bro yesterday and i want to flash ROMs on it.
But i still don't know after i've finished ROMs on Ds 5 , is it easy to downgrade or move back to the official ROMs?
Firstly i got this one in 2.2 and now i got updated to 2.3.3 from other xda thread. So Pls answer me whether i should try flashing these ROMs or not ? Any help appreciated..! :laugh:

based on 927 over this then!im sorry than i cant be much help for now...i think if i judge by the size is an expansion..only theme so you need b927 and then flash this "theme zip" over this!!

This is an AOKP ROM for the u8800. It is ported from Huawei Honor B977 4.0.3. I'd like to know if anyone else has tried this and what they think. It's a chinese rom from the anzhi forums (original thread)
I flashed this ROM just now ( thanks fjsferreira for the mirror), this is my feedback:
- Fast, smooth (on par with Aurora).
- Wifi, mobile data, bluetooth, and the like work.
- No gapps, Play Store, camera, browser...(you pretty much have to install everything yourself).
- No strip unicode in the Mms.apk.
- Popup notification support in the Mms.apk.
- Cool AOKP tweaks (naturally...).
- No theme-chooser (meaning you'll have to stick with the mix of Touchwiz 5, ICS and lots of tranparency that is the UI).
- Long pressing the Home key doesn't show the multi-tasking interface and doesn't take you to the Homescreen.
- The SEARCH key is set to turn off the screen (to revert it to its normal function (searching!), check this post).
- I'll add more feedback information as more people try it and report.

Make sure the system folder fits in your system partition. I think you need to chacge the partitions in order to flash this, but I'm not sure. Our phone's default system partition is 210 mb

I would love to give a try, but download time shows me 18 hours...
I have tried the previous ver actually..... Partition is a must, otherwise phone wont pass Huawei logo. Its ported from Huawei Honor ...every thing works well but Home key does not work..... But be aware some time it happens that you cant return to stock partition and you wont be able to Flash official 2.3 or Froyo ROM back.

I haven't tried that way, you can try once.... All 4.0 official ROM designed for U8800 PRO also officially they have made .app file for changing the partition to install ICS so i doubt it will work.

Actually this version is much smaller (109MB) than the previous (180MB), so it may not need re-partitioning. It has a ".UP" suffix so maybe it is an update flashable only and you need the previous installed, but I can't know since I cannot download it. It just goes soooooo slowwww....

I know, right? I left the computer on and went to the beach but when I came back the file only had 86mb out of the 109mb...I'll have to try again tomorrow, since it will probably take some 4 hours to download.

If you guys use something to stabilize the download, like free download manager, speed is always above 800 KB/s (I've just finished my download, took less than 3mins)

(I didn't try this ROM yet, and probably won't, Aurora is completely stable for me right now)
Well, just went ahead and tried the ROM. From my 10 minutes playing with it, everything seems to work, wifi, mobile data, bluetooth and camera (camera isn't included by default, you have to install one).
Also, no market by default, you have to manually edit the zip file and include the market apk in it.
Sadly I had to uninstall it after 10 mins because, and I'm seeing this more and more, the dev completely screwed up the UI... it's simply horrible, it's not default AOKP at all... He made a complete mess with icons from samsung, an horrible background in every app, horrible popups and menus, etc... I didn't like that at all. There are some stuff completely in chinese, in the ROM control area of the settings, but overall, you can choose any language that Android includes. Note, while the theme of the UI isn't AOKP, the ROM itself is, with the usual settings AOKP provides,
Performance wise, I saw no difference than with aurora...

You can include this too... Its ported from Huawei Honor 4.0 977 ver ROM and home key doesn't show recent apps opened and doesn't take you to home either.

EDIT: I have fixed the home key not working so now that works 100%!!!

Thanks. I reverted to the good old .32 kernel yesterday, so I won't be testing this one for now. However, I'll still update the OP with the links to the latest version and the features/bugs list.

That Is something that I'd on my to do list but right now I'd rather be able to use the rom for longer then 16 hours and I also want to fix some ui isuess.

Have a look in the right side you See the cam Symbol if you tab this it opens a little menu straight left in it you See a ball this is photosphere

Power button bug is still here on 2012-12-23. It doesnt turn on many times and I have to press it for a while till restart. Any ideas?

I've heard that this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1823696 ) works with CM10.1. Use with caution though, I'm not sure if those posts were credible or if they worked at all.

NO, but we are working on a environmentally green kernel that will allow you to run everything at half speed and get battery life of 3 months per charge. As fast as this tab is, you won;t even notice the difference..:cyclops:

Just one thing, ive got apps, etc installed, etc. So whats the quickest/safest method in order to keep all the apps, settings, etc
and then be able to flash the latest build of this CM10.1 ?

There isn't photosphere's symbol. Only panorma mode, camera and video.
Do this 4.2 Have multiple user support???

No where in the thread does it say that the kernal works on cm 10.1! I've tested it and while it did boot it hangs when it upgrading android so no it doesn't work. Maybe it'll get fixed to work in the future maybe not....

People say that hangs on boot Mang, def doesn't work....
Edit: my bad didn't see the post above mine.... Also I have no photosphere either, only panorama and video and still same as some... Someone with working photosphere do me a kind one and post a link to the gapps u used ?

If u use ti backup, DO NOT RESTORE YOUR DATA WHEN U RESTORE YOUR APPS.... YOU WILL BREAK APPS FROM UPDATING AT THE VERY LEAST AND WILL PROB BREAK SOME ALL TOGETHER... ASUMING U DONT BREAK YOUR INSTALL.... ONLY RESTORE JUST THE APPS NOT THE DATA WITH TI BACKUP...

Oh and PS:
Do not back up and restore system apps, that will def EFF u up
Your best bet:
Use a root exploring file manager,
Navigate to /data/app , and copy the apps you want to save and paste them to your SD card
Next repeat except from /system/app (be care full here u really prob don't need anything from here, but just check, and remember only downloaded market apps)
After upgrading use file manager to install from SD card ( navigate to where they are and click on them and let droid install them)
HINT: THE FIRST TIME U TRY TO INSTALL IT WILL WARN YOU ABOUT UNKNOWN SOURCES... PRESS THE SETTING BUTTON THAT WILL POP UP AND WHEN IT BRINGS U TO THE CORRECT SETTINGS PAGE CLICK THE CHECKBOX NEXT TO UNKNOWN SOURCES...

I have the same "problem" I only have the normal Panorama, but Photosphere is mising.
Using cm-10.1-20121223-NIGHTLY-p5110.zip with GAPS 4.2...
