Hi guys I'm confused as my a500 processor is a armv7 when I checked in setcpu . Isn't it suppose to be a tegra 2 dual core?
"Tegra" is just a name/label. The processor is built in the ArmV7 instruction set. If you want to know more, Google is just a click away

How're arm11 processors? Is it like the droid's processors which is clocked at 550 but has great gpu clocks?
Beautiful processor!

better yet can the arm 11 processor be over clocked to 800?
which ARM11 platform does boot the linux kernel ?
I am wondering which ARM11 platform does boot the linux kernel ? And where to start for Nokia E7 (BCM2727)

Just pointing out any processor that is ARMv6 or ARMv7 is considered ARM11. So the MT3GS is an ARM11 processor and of course it runs on a linux kernel. That is exactly what Android is, a flavor of Linux.

So I thought the epic had the hummingbird CPU?
Why do all info say its an arm V7 revision 2?

It is a Hummingbird processor. It's actually based on the ARM Cortex A8 architecture. Hummingbird is the codename for the Samsung and Intrinsity developed part. So the processor is named Hummingbird, but it's based on the ARM architecture. It's kind of like how Intel makes Pentiums and AMD makes Phenoms, but they're both x86-64 architecture processor.
What processor is in the phone? I expect Exynos but I've been searching for a while and can't get any confirmation...
It is 1.4Ghz Exynos

Dual-core 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, Mali-400MP GPU, Exynos chipset
So is this the same processor that is found in the S2, just overclocked to 1.4ghz, or is it a completely new one?

I think it's overclocked, the CPU and GPU are same. I'm not sure if the clock of GPU is same are increased.
Quick question -- how does the Tegra 3 stack up to the Nook Tablet's OMAP 4430? i know it's a bump up, but i'd like to know how much of a bump up i'm getting with my fancy new bit of gadgetry. I know they're both based on a ARM A9 CPU, but that's all...

well you have two more cores, so thats twice the CPU performance in apps that can support quad core (browsers and some games).
the GPU is much faster on the tegra3 though. the geforce ulp is about 2-3x faster than the gpu on the omap 4460 chipset at the same resolution. not sure how far behind the omap 4430 is, but the tegra3 is definitely much better.

Quad-core tegra 3 vs Dual Core OMAP 4430?
I know...quad core and tegra 3 is the winner, but Dual Core OMAG 4430(Galaxy Tab2 7.0) how much time will resist gaming market, if you know what I mean
T3 have better CPU+ GPU
Also better, faster, newer system by google
The 4430 is crap? The gnex has the 4460 and its not all that great either. The CPU in the 8.9 which is the 4470 is the only one that's better than the tegra3.

Compared to the T3 the OMAP is garbage. I actually write firmware for TI processors (DSP's not OMAP's but still...)
Just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 internatiional version with Exynos 5 a few days back.
According to the SYSTEM TUNER App my SGS 4 is using ARM Cortex-A7 core whether i run cpu demanding apps like large games or i do low cpu demanding tasks like web browsing.
Help..!!!
if it has lcd instead amoled, its possible that a7 is only used
deleted
ok is there any aap by which I can see which core is being used

thanks :good:
as i know every frequency higher than 600MHz = A15 cores
install cpu spy and post pic after some use

Lol do you really think that a quad arm a7 would score the high numbers you see in benchmarks? System tuner is not optimized to check for other cores as well I'm just guessing here
