Problem with Creeds Fusion v3.5 - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

ok, so i installed creeds then after a few days i noticed that my battery drains fast even if im not doing anything. tried to charge it to 100% before i sleep. then i left it in my drawer at full charge. when i wake up, its down to 40%.
also, sometimes when im charging, my screens keeps on blinking like. lockscreen - homescreen - lockscreen - homescreen. its blinking fast i cant even unlock my galaxy y. the method i do to stop this it to pull the battery. but this is a rare occurence and i only encounter this with creeds 3.5 since the last creeds i used was 2.something or is that 3, i forgot.

You have to wipe your battery stat and delvik cache at CWM mode..install back I recommand to you..wipe data/cache/delvik-cache/battery stat..

Or try to flash back to stock ROM and observe if your battery is still draining fast. Do a back-up just in case.

Strange battery behavior with my Vibrant. Help.

very confused
Any ideas.
Thank you in advance guys
Well doing all that stuff is pretty intensive, so it will burn through battery life rather quickly. I always leave my phone plugged in when flashing new roms

I always reset battery stats in clockwork recovery after flashing a new rom. Flashing usually burns 10-15% of my battery up for reference.

Fix for poor battery life on dj05/dl09 (rooted)

Hi all I did this last night and it worked wonders on my battery. Before this with screen brightness at about 20% and 10 hours of being on the battery would be dead. The screen on time was 3h15m at best before it would die. After I did this I tested my battery by playing a movie, games, web and texting. When I put my phone on the charger last night screen on time was 5h flat. I was amazed. So I thought I'd type this up for anyone with battery woes. You need to be rooted and Clockwork installed.
1. Dial *22899 and let it do its thing. This helped my battery drain while in standby. Now drains about 1% every 3 hours of standby.
2. Charge phone to 100% (phone on)
3. When the charge hits 100% power down the phone
4. A green battery will show on screen and show its not fully charged. Leave it on the charger until it shows 100% (phone will vibrate to let you know and state 100%, do not unplug phone)
5. Once it reaches 100% boot into recovery by holding both volume keys and power until the Samsung logo appears.
6. Choose "apply update.zip" (use the home key for selection)
7. You are now in Clockwork. Use the volume keys to navigate to "advanced" and the back softkey to select it.
8. In the advanced menu select "wipe battery stats" (there will be no conformation)
9. Back in the advanced menu select "wipe dalvik cache"
10. Now back into the main menu and select 'wipe cache"
11. Select "reboot phone" and wait for it to reboot (will take longer than normal)
12. Once fully loaded unplug the charger and run the phone until the 5% warning then plug back in
So, it sounds like this battery issue only affected those that were rooted to begin with and had to manually clear thiese caches?
I have not noticed any different (good or bad) with my battery on stock only builds DI01 to DL09.

Yea mine kinda went south after I flashed Dj05 awhile back. Alot of users are reporting worse battery after DL09 too though so I thought this may also apply to them.
Battery life is also affected by your kernel and rom combo. Adyrnalyne's kernels seem to have awesome battery life. I last charged my phone saturday night and it's just now dropped down to 17%. However I also did a full wipe including battery stats and davlik when I installed superclean and this kernel.

Did not work for me
I tried doing this multiple times and it did not work for me. After updating to DJ05 I started to have problems with my battery draining extremely fast (about 3x faster than on DI01). So I upgraded to DL09 thinking it might fix the problem, but it did not. What did work is draining the battery down to 0% and the phone shut off. Then I plugged the phone in and held the volume up/down keys and power button to get in to recovery. I then applied the update.zip to get in to clockwork recovery and scrolled down to the advanced menu and wiped the battery stats. When I rebooted the phone the battery drain was better than when I was on DI01. Not sure if this will work for anyone else but it worked for me.
Yeah, wiping the battery stats when making any major changes seems to help a lot.

I did that too and it didnt help until I wiped battery stats AND cache
Typically I always charge to 100% with the phone off then wipe stats whenever I install a new rom. Was curious why my standby was killing battery on DJ09 and not DJ05, so that *22899 reset helped a bunch.
I went from around 68% no signal from standby to 28% in the short time I've tested.

this worked for me... I has previously just tried wiping battery stats to see if the battery life would improve. I had also changed kernels and switched to dj09 modem so I want sure who the culprit was. I also tried another corrective step by letting the batery drain to zero then turning off and charging to 100% before wiping batt stats but that didn't work either. I am back to normal now which was already pretty good. I should have never messed with the settings in the first place but was curious

I can't believe I didn't know this before. Huge difference. My method was pretty much like the first post. Totally drained battery, dialed the reset number, charged phone to 100% while off, unplugged and replugged until fully charged, wiped battery stats and caches, and I'm still draining. At 43% after 19 hours of lighter use.

After a few downloads, a few google talk sessions and more pushed emails it has been 3.5 hours since unplugged and I'm at 80%.... I'm going to have to say that it was the *22899 that helped me.

ahhh battery goodness again
Battery life is worlds better after doing this.
I would go through a fully charged battery in under 6hrs before... as of now ive been on battery since lastnight at 8 and even after a night of usage, no charge overnight, and using it all day today I still have 28% battery.

Yup. Well I did wipe cache. Don't remember when I did it, though. But at some point after updating to DL09 I did wipe cache. It's been about 2.5 hours since I edited my last post and I've only lost 10% after a few emails and some text. I've even had wireless on since unplugging it. Something fixed it. I did flash a different modem. I flashed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=908451

edit: forgot to mention that I am using Adrynlyn's test2 1/16 voodoo5 kernel
My results were for dialing just *22899, without doing the other extra steps...
so far 8 hours unplugged from the charger and I'm down to 71% which seems a bit better than previously ...
This worked great. I charged last night to 100% and then this morning wiped stats around 6:30. I have been using it all day with WIFI and 25% brightness and 11 hours later I have 73% battery life left. I also noticed Standby is on 18% which is a lot lower than it has been in the past.
Thanks again for this little tip.
Any idea if just the *22899 will help out a non rooted fascinate without wiping the battery stats? My wife doesn't want me to mess with her phone.

When you recalibrate your battery, it takes a few life cycles for the battery to stabilize and for Android to get an accurate reading. First life cycle is alway short. Of course, don't play with ROMs so much it may damage your phones read only memory.
I will post my battery life soon, I'm still waiting for the battery to deplete, I haven't recharged my phone in 4 days now after I calibrated my battery.

Wow 4days is huge, iam getting hardly 1day battery after calibrating yesterday....
Actually i removed my phone before getting the 100% notification....
So should i wait for battery to improve???
By the way, when did you calibrate???
Should i calibrate again????
If this wont work i will try terminal emulator method...
So in this method do we need to charge 100% or discharge completely??
Some precautions or just write those commands at any point of charge???
Iam wondering how to thank from the xda app
Thnx to both of u

Same problem here.
Battery drained from 100% to 60% in 3 hours, then to 15% after 5 hours. phone super hot! Widget showed temp 42°C !
Not even used the phone for more than 15 min! REALLY!
Then calibrated before 3 days, now a max of 1 day battery backup only.
Plz help.
And 1 life cycle means I must let the phone charge 100% then let it discharge till it's switched off.
And I should repeat the cycle.correct me if I am wrong.
And I have the habit of not charging to 100% in a single charge session, 2-3 breaks, should I change it?
clarkkov said:
If your phone is hot without you using it, something is running in the background, that shouldn't. Which ROM are you using and which tweaks/fixes have you applied?
One battery life cycle means battery drain from 100% (fully charged) to 1% (fully discharged). Your phone does not have to turn itself off, but make sure it is at 1% when you begin to charge it again. This is important only for a few cycles after calibration, afterwards you are free to charge it as you wish, but while calibrating it's highly recommended that you don't interrupt the charging process (4Hrs).

on DDJP2.. getting a horrible backup since i have updated thru KIES. generally on jg6 used to get almost 1.5 days which has come down to 12-16 hours now. trying to calibrate my battery with app 'battery calibration'.. calibrated once.. but still no change. read somewhr that we get the same backup for first few times even after calibrating.. but to get sure i am writing down my process.. plz chk if m doing right or not ..
1. plug in phone with charger
2. wait till 100%.
3. press battery calibration or delete batterystat.bin with the help of root explorer.
4. unplug charger and use it till it discharges completely.
5. charge again to 100%.
plzzzz chk and tell.

You need to be aware that wireless services are draining the battery the most. If you are not using 3G - switch it off, same with BT and WIFI. Widgets that update frequently also drain the battery fast, background data, auto sync services/features are battery killers, too.

[Q] Battery won't charge over 60%

Since few days ago, im using PCFighters rom. And, I have problem with charging, my battery wont charge above 50-60%. I tried deleting battery stats from recovery; i tried bump charging (although i cant charge phone while its turned off - CM7 "feature" ), i tried some method form XDA (charge phone, delete battery stats, reboot phone, remove battery from phone while rebooting, and phone still on cord etc) - but nothing works...
Battery itself lasts like usuall, 24-30hours, but this is really annoying... and, here is pic of battery usage, you can see how it oscilates on far left side, while charging, 50-60%, and thats it...
Any solution?

There are 2 possible solutions:
1. Re Flash the ROM, let it reach all load until phone turn off, charge to 100%, then Calibrate Batt, then reach the load to 0% again, then charge the batt. If the charge stay on 60%, unplug and plug your charger continuously from the outlet energy.
2. Replace your battery with a new one.
this problem have a simple solution you must download "battery calibration" or "battery calibrator" and when the phone is charged (60%) you must click the button .. if this doesn't work you can enter in recovery---> advanced---> wipe battery states

Thats How I Do It
I need to flash the latest recovery.img CWM v5.0.2.7 first and then wipe battery stats.
With Battery Callibration app see how high is battery voltage, when is at 60%, then share here with us.
OK, ill check it tommorow morning and type it here... thx, imenjak
("imenjak" - ppl with same name, in our language)
After 10 hours of charging, baterry is at 52% or 3729mV... i tryed unplug/plug in for a few times, but now it wont go over 52%.
Finally the following steps helped me:
- I flashed the latest CWM recovery.img v5.0.2.7
- Boot into Recovery and did:
- "wipe cache partition"
- Inside "Advanced" both did "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and "Wipe Battery Stats"
- Power Off
- removed batterie and waited at least 5 minutes
- inserted batterie and used GT540 until it's fully empty
- charged GT540 again
- Voila: "charged 100%"

If nothing helps, try to backup your current ROM, install a different one (for example Froyo or stock Eclair) and if the same thing happens (also after calibration) then you will know for sure that the problem is hardware nature and your battery is dying. But if on different ROM you have normal battery charging then its a very weird bug.
Good luck, imenjak!

I have it too. No help so far.
Download the app "battery calibration" from the market, and follow the instructions in the app.
No use man tried all the things recommended battery savers ,calibration ,stopping services blah blah .... etc .I be live is time to say goodbye to this rom and return to plain old Eclair. It is no fun to worry when the battery will go flat on me!
Set min CPU to 19 MHz (only in custom kernels)
No lag, reboot, etc at all.
i feel also, my x8 got faster battery drain...any solution about that ?
did u guys try wiping the battery stats in CWM??? it usually helps. i had battery drains everytime i newly installed gingerdx.
Some of the tips to save your battery i learnt overtime in XDA posts thanks to those threads.. sry i dont remember the exact ones
1) Disable Haptic Feed back. ( The phone vibrates during certain UI interactions and hard button presses)
2) Keep your phone's brightness low(less than 30% if possible). If your phone has a Light Sensor, then enable Auto Brightness so that your screen's brightness changes according to to your surroundings light levels
3) Download RAM manager(requires root, if you haven't rooted your phone check out here) and keep your RAM free soa as to avoid many apps running uselessly. You can check out about RAM Manager here and download it.
4) Use Juice Defender Battery saver. This app does a neat job and really saves your battery life.
I use a Sony Ericsson W8 for now and I get a battery life of roughly three days with moderate use!
To know more about Juice Defender and to download it see here.
5) Charge your phone occasionally to enhance your battery life.
6) If you use a Custom ROM and Custom Kernel you can make use of Undervolt modules.
7) Use SET CPU (requires root, if you haven't rooted your phone check out here) to underclock your mobile processor when your phone is not in genuine use.
8) Apps like Facebook for Android, Music etc occupy your RAM even after you close them. They run as an actual background process rather than a Cache Background Process.
So goto Settings -> Applications -> Running Services to close them manually(This frees more RAM as well as increases your battery life)
9) This one is for rooted phones with Clockworkmod Recovery or xRecovery. In case you face an abnormal battery drain try this. Charge your phone to 100% and reboot your phoneto CWM menu or xRecovery menu and select advanced and Wipe battery stats alone and reboot and charge your phone for another ten minutes and Voila! your phone battery would last longer than it normally did!!!
10) Uninstall unused applications so as to prevent battery drain.
Dont forget to hit the thanks button

Hello Guys, I may have figured out the battery drain problem. I was previously using Froyobread on my W8. I decided to upgrade it to GDX so I flashed it.
Before flashing, my battery was at 25-27%...Right after flashing though, I noticed that it went up to 46%??? (My phone was not plugged through USB or charger during update process)
Could this be the reason for the so-called battery drain issue? Meaning the phone "thinks" its fully charged even if its not?

u better wipe the battery stats after u install a custom rom like GDX ..... charging the phone to 100 percent and then wiping the battery stats keeps the phone in a stable battery condition and there wont be battery drains.....
Okay, so I noticed that the batt drain was unacceptable the first time I installed gdx (it ate like 2% every 5min on standby) so I read all the advices here and did my own combination.
Heres what I did...
I switched back to froyobread then fully charged the phone. I then reset the bat stats thru CWM then charged the phone again. I did this like 3x coz every time I reset the stats, it would drop 5-8%...after that, I then installed GDX and once again, fully charged it the wiped stats thru CWM and using battery calibration. After that, I noticed a big change in bat life. Its now about 12hrs running under normal usage (a few calls, sms and some wifi), the batt is still at 88%...whereas before, it would have been around 30ish already when I was running froyo.
Could it be that GDX jumbles up the numbers when it is installed on phones with bad battery stats?
Just sharing my experiences...
OT: GDX rocks!
