Hey everyone, I'm digging around trying to find this wallpaper for my Galaxy Tab 10.1 sized so it crops right. Anyone happen to have it?

Just use this app "Simple Image Wallpaper Free" it'll set ant wallpaper you'd like without cropping. You'll find it in "Live Wallpapers" and from settings browse to choose your wallpaper.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ridgelineapps.simpleimagewallpaper
Good luck!
Check out MultiPicture Live Wallpaper too. It also sets wallpapers without cropping.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tamanegi.wallpaper.multipicture
You can specify a folder for wallpapers and set it so double tapping the background on the home screen cycles through different wallpapers. Simple and lag-free.
I have a folder with over a hundred wallpapers in it and change them whenever i feel like it simply by double tapping the homescreen.
Thanks guys!
Anything equal or above 3 megapixels should be fine for cropping...atleast wont be at all pixelated...try custom Google image search....

It's quite a lagfest on CM9.

Hmm..that's odd. I'm using the CM9 ICS WiFi preview and everything's buttery smooth. Anyway there are plenty of alternatives I guess.
I have modified my DPI and got Nova launcher installed - but seem unable to get my lockscreen to view in landscape mode, is this possible?
Thanks A
haven't found a way yet, possibly hardcoded.

Wut..
1. Download widget locker.
2. Force landscape.
3. Profit.

If you're interested in having the Nexus 7 homescreen actually rotate, you can download Ultimate Rotation Control.
Once installed, you can choose the option "Forced Auto" and the home screen will rotate.
The only problem with widget locker is that there is no Nav button hiding. And the wallpaper doesn't automatically adjust correctly between portrait and landscape.

Decompile framework-res.apk using apktool, navigate to res/vales/bools.xml and change the false to true on config_EnableLockscreenRotation
That should give you lock screen rotation without an app...
I can make this mod for you, but you will have to upload your framework-res.apk and let give me to,e to do it (probably tomorrow)..

I use the Set Orientation app, in Landscape mode the lock screen stays in landscape.

I have never gotten apktool to recompile... idk why. I have the same issue u do. Did u ever get it working? I'd rather not have to run an orientation app
I also use the Set Orientation app, but in Automatic (full) mode.
Works great and it is free.:good:

I did what you said and even recompiled it, but how do i get my new framwork-res into the correct folder? as soon as i do anything to those system folders my nexus 7 just reboots (like try to copy over the old framwork-res). is there a way i can overwrite the old framework-res without having the tablet go crazy and reboot?

I using trebucket maybe because it's default in my ROM. I try to download any launcher.
Odp: [Q] Menu background
Changing background in settings:
1.Go to system/framework
2.Open framework-res.apk in Winrar
3.Go to res/drawable-nodpi
4.Replace background_holo_dark.png with your own background

Pfft... Use Apex launcher or Nova. You can change it there

Installed Android 4.4 via adb sideload onto 2x Nexus 4 and 1x Nexus 7 (2012). Installation was smooth as the rom is stock (un-rooted).
While trying to change the wallpaper (which I used earlier in 4.3), the wallpaper does not center anymore. Tried with multiple wallpapers meant for Nexus 4 and 7 respectively.
I later launched airdroid and saw --> com.android.wallpapercropper running in the background and consuming anywhere between 33-44MB of RAM.
The cropping tool to select the wallpaper no longer appears in Android 4.4. Anyone else facing similar issues?

Has anyone raised a bug with Google on this? If not, any idea how to submit a bug?
Wondering if the wallpapers are the proper res for nex 4. Possibly a small detail that needs to be corrected in the build env.

solved?
ok i figured out how to center my wallpaper image on the lockscreen.
using the oem launcher, on the desktop, swipe from left to right, to the last screen on the left...
hold down finger on screen till choose wallpaper option comes up, pick image from gallery and save as wallpaper....
shut off screen via power button press, press power button to wake device to lock screen...
image should be center on lock screen.. if its not, you didn't do it right, try again.
default screen in stock launcher is the screen all the way to the left... lame but whatever.
now you can set your default launcher to your choice, ie NOVA - APEX - WHATEVER and your lockscreen wallpaper is aligned

The problem happens when we set any photo as wallpaper, after restarting the phone, the picture appears as if it had applying a zoom.
have the same problem
I have the same problem with Nexus 7 2013 on KitKat.
Because the photo wallpaper will automatically zoomed in, now I'm using 3rd party wallpaper apps.
I'm just wondering how the app set wallpaper without being zoomed in. If the logic of setting wallpaper is the same, it should be zoomed.

That works for the centering, but after the power cycle the image (if a huge res is used) is blown up to a section of the picture and not how it was originally set as.
It's crazy that it lets you use a whole image for the wallpaper yet when the device rotates or power cycles it buggers it all up..
I had the same problem on stock 4.4.2. I even f-reset my nexus 4 but uh it didn't worked. in wallpaper cropper, if you choose it as is (positioning), it will be positioned in the hard left screen, so choose the half of the image like this
Hey guys,
So I have a live wallpaper that I really like, but of course it drains battery. I was wondering if there is a way to basically take a screenshot of it so that I can use it as a regular "static" wallpaper?
I can view it in preview to take a screenshot, but then it has the "Settings..." and "Set Wallpaper" buttons in there as well. Perhaps there is a clever way to do this.
Thanks.
I imagine if you have the right ROM and launcher you could just turn on immersive mode and take a screenshot of an empty homescreen.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
This should probably be in questions but if you put the live wallpaper up our tell me which one it is as long as it's appropriate I'll do it for you because I have omni ROM with immersive mode. Then I can screen shot a blank screen and upload it for you like the person above suggested
