OK just been doing some research this single tweak may help, but im wondering what other issues it may introduce.as i said before you will need to get your phone to run sysctl -p at boot, just add a script to init.d

im testing if this command fixes the memory leak
go to an file explorer (Root required) and...
...you can find it in: system/etc/sysctl.conf and if you have no sysctl.conf see the Quotes:

Hey guys, as an aside,
If you want to be able to use this "tweak" with your ROM then the best thing to do is create the file /system/etc/sysctl.conf then create a script called something like 10sysctl in /system/etc/init.d with the contents
sysctl -p
to ensure that you are definitely calling the file in question.
This will change the OOM kill allocation task with non zero meaning it will kill any process which triggers an OOM condition. (this is why the worry about killing foreground processes is brought up) pretty sure this will run on all ROMs and handsets, providing the ROM is set to use init.d scripts, which most of them are.

It should not work using build.prob. There is an alternative way: 1) create a script in /etc/init.d (if your kernel supports init.d) and set permission 777 2) enter this line: echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/oom_kill_allocating_task

Seems to be working to a certain extent. I had 49mb memory and after I entered what was said into the build.prop, my memory increased to 160mb as soon as I hit 'save'. So it is clearly doing something.

Correct me if I am wrong but the memory leak issue is only present on JB devices at present. This means that with your current ROM (4.04 ICS) you would not experience the memory problems anyway.
I am sceptical about the whole "fix" as it is anyway. As far as I can tell adding this to the build.prop would not do anything as this is only referenced by applications not the OS. Not everyone is going to have sysctl.conf.
I have the JB SuperNexus build but I wait until someone can confim that mermory leak is
really fixed with this fix.
But I dont noticed any memory leak on this build I used it the whole day and installed many things
and played a lot of games but phone is still freaking fast with 350+ ram free.
And I didnt rebooted.

Okay Sir but the OS kills Tasks if RAM is needed so it should work or am i wrong?
is the ROM you are running loading the file at boot? otherwise you are gonna need to sysctl -p

EDIT: I'm an idiot. I thought this was the other memory leak thread.
I think the other problem here is people are assuming the memory leak is coming from games and apps installed. I have like 2 games installed atm and I am getting the leak with system apps crashing and restarting (namely maps by the looks of things, and i can only assume it is to do with positioning data)

Killing off apps aggressively may sort this problem, but you will still need to reload these processes to make use of the services they provide. BTW im on Frayaabs JB build 3 NOT SUPER NEXUS.

No as this does not affect official Google OTA updates or shipped ROMS (confirmed this is NOT a problem with my Nexus 7) it is something to do with the Kernel on the JB roms for the sgs3 as far as I know

A. CM9 uses CM Color or so sort called "Nexus S Colors".
Q. Can i install Thunderbolt or SuperCharger or any init.d scripts?
A. Official CM Kernel doesnt supports for init.d.
Q. What is the best freq for performance and battery?
A. There is no overclocking or frequency in stock kernel, so please head over to below to see what custom kernels are available.
Q. Im having Google Apps fc (Force Close), what is wrong here?
A. I recommend to a wipe factory reset, it happens to me once... Do this,
1. Make a NAND Backup
2. Wipe Data/Factory Reset

3b. Flash Face Unlock if necessary
4. Restore Data
Why my external sd is not reading?
Is not a bug nor a hardware error, your external sd card is now called "emmc"
Why my Music/Photos are not synced?
Try clearing those apks data by doing this:
-Settings > Manage Apps > Gallery > Clear Data
-Settings > Manage Apps > Music > Clear Data
-Dev Tools > Media Scanner > Scan
If Gallery is still not synced, i recommend you using QuickPic.
I cant flash this rom?!?!? Its keep showing (status0)
Have you tried wiping data/factory reset? It's a must when you from other rom...
Still error? Flash other kernels with recovery and boot into recovery (power + vol up) and flash cm9 right away...
Can i flash other modems?
Yes.
Where can i find themes?
Is there any custom kernels can i use?

Copy the CWM zip to your internal sdcard
Mount /data, /system and /sdcard in CWM (IMPORTANT!) (When mounted, it will show "unmount /system" for example. This means that an unmounted partition will show a "mount /system" for the /system partition)
Install using CWM thunderbolt zip
Reboot
Open up Script Manager and set files listed bellow as root and boot, press save, (not run)
from this folder: /system/etc/init.d/
files: S70darky_zipalign, s78enable_touchscreen_1, S98system_tweak
and finallythis one: /sdcard/bolt_scripts/remountCM7MIUI-yaffs.
Reboot
Wait and ENJOY !!!
After each boot, wait about 20s to let scripts run, then your rom FLY!!!
You can even try to enable S98CFSK(not confirmed if it works), other modules as sqlite addon are NOT WORKING.

F1 GalaxyNexus is a ROM built entirely from Google's ICS source code. The main idea behind this was to give users the experience of pure ICS as it is on the Galaxy Nexus with no visual changes and ZERO bloatware or any 3rd party app. F1 GalaxyNexus is just plain AOSP ICS with under the hood tweaks, optimizations and the features to make AOSP a little bit better. Big Kudos to Teamhacksung as without them this ROM was not possible. This ROM will be updated on a daily basis and will be also updated whenever Teamhacksung improves the device tree or patch new stuff.

You need the [PORT] Tag in the Thread title. Else, mods will be called, this is ridiculous.
Can we stop with the separate thread port nonsense? I think it would be logical to have a single thread with all ports instead of each port in a single thread. Mod agree?

Flashed. Loving the ROM, it's very fast and very fluid. Only one big issue, it won't detect my internal SD. I've rebooted like 3 or 4 times and still no luck. My battery is almost fully drained so I have to recharge, I want to keep this ROM on but I need to be able to get into my SD card. I can open it through a file manager but my Gallery, Camera and some other things won't work properly since the ROM isn't reading it. Is there a way to somehow get it to read it, or will I need to flash something else for the time being?

well I don't know about the mods, but I don't think that's a good idea. It makes it a pain in the ass to separate issues between different ports, or to even find ports within the thread.

Thanks !
Tested on my Ace too, it's 100% working !
I've installed it, but i dont tested time enought to tell if really does make diference in performance. Im using aokp by erikcas( 02/04/2013 build), wich already is stable and smooth enough, but anyway here's what i think
Less ram usage
Deep sleep seems to consume less battery than normal, but it lags the phone a bit when wake up
As i limit background processes to 4, i didnt saw a huge improvement im ram usage, but exists
Smoothness is improved
Thanks for your work, i will test it more later. Can u make a version of this for optimus L3?

It sends an Status 7: Installation aborted to me.

The flash abruptly stopped midway through... I think it was my fault, but it soft-bricked the cappy, had to ODIN gear kernel (thanks for the .tar files) Second attempt... failed, kernel stuck this time though... Third attempt... Success!
Turns out it was my fault though, my battery was loose.

Sadly no, can't give you a logcat right now, not in my comp. (Friend's house.) When I get home I'll send a logcat, or if anyone else haves the same issue, they could also help out, I guess.
My big big big FAIL. In Device Patch i left format /system -.- So every time you flash the device flash system contents will be deleted and of course phone won't boot -.-
Uploading a working patch xD
Working patches are up. Same links as before but archive script is different.
Sorry for before
Enjoy!
Lol, just got home, finally. Glad to see you were able to work it out, sorry I wasn't able to help much.
Downloading new patch, excited to try this out
Installed and working nice!
But, its possible to make the phone vibrate with touch buttons, I feel different without this, and I didn't found anything related to that in the configs.. :/

This is my review for MIUI 6.
Using this ROM for allmost 24 hours and i have to say that MIUI is the most beautiful ROM i ever used before.
The things that i have noticed so far:
-Wi-Fi seems to be working fine.
-GPS not locking but, i were inside a builiding so, it might be related to that.(i didnt have time to test it outside).
-Incoming call screen seems to be quiet laggy (which is presented in most 4.4 Kitkat ROM).
Thats pretty much it. i will continue testing this ROM and let you guys know.
Beside all that i wrote, this ROM is really beautiful and looks amazing.
Thank you @PolishVodka for this great ROM

Does it lag? How is the ram usage? For example, can you keep browser, viber ( whatsapp or anything else like this) and youtube in background?
Well, the ROM is laggy while roaming (launcher, settings).
About youtube, i didnt test it so i cant tell.
About the RAM managmant i didnt check(i'm at work right now).
But the history of MIUI for our device teached us that the ROM is preety heavy.
Thr boot time is normal.
I will continue to test this ROM and let you know.

so is it worth trying this rom or there are too many bugs? i do not want to try it myself as my sister is currently using my s advance.
working hard , long thinks , Omni and CM will work!
@PolishVodka you are just awesome... Rom works flawlessly but there are some changes that u should make.
It is very difficult to read when there is a pop up notification like battery. Maybe due to missing background colour.
There is also a problem in the launcher... Apps icon overlaps with the apps in the tray. I uploaded a screenshot. It's not a big deal but it ia sometimes annoying
Overall your build ia very good
Sent from my GT-I9070 using XDA Free mobile app
3 days of use and I'm surprised the ROM is very fast, no lags although I've had 3 random reboots already which are not that bad.
Bugs I've found
BATTERY consumption is very high
Clock fcs immediately you open
Some pop up dialogs cannot be seen clearly since the background is transparent and font almost transparent too
Nevertheless this Rom is awesome thanks @PolishVodka for this brilliant job
