has anyone had this problem? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I plugged in my nexus to charge and when I went to see if it was fully charged it would not show that it was charging and when I tried to them it on it wouldn't. After a couple of minutes I tried to turn it on and it turned on and was charging fine.
Has anyone had this problem?
Edit: my device is not rooted or unlocked

ActiveSync + Charging Issue

I've needed to sync my MDA to my computer via USB without fully charging the battery. After syncing the two, I turn my phone off and disconnect the USB cord. The problem is that my battery reads as fully charged while only a few minutes prior it read as 75%. What the heck is going on?
Is anyone else having this issue?
Any suggestions?
Francis
Yeah, I have the exact same problem. Same thing happens when I soft reset the phone. It ends up going back to 100%.
this seems like it'll be a problem. if the battery keeps getting reset to 100%, then when is really fully charged? argh.

[Q] Phone suddenly went dead (latest MIUI 2.6.35 kernel)

My phone just went dead yesterday, while playing tiny tower. Suddenly turned off, and would not turn back on. When I connect the charger, the led in in the speaker blinks. When the charger is not connected, the phone is completely dead. And it does not respond to anything either way. I don't know if this is rom related. Probably not? I'm thinking returning it to the shop, and hoping for the best is my only option, unless someone here has a better idea.
Update: I tried turning it on, connected to the charger, but without the battery in. It starts. So I guess the battery died? Suddenly and completely?
What happens if you turn it on without battery in and then insert battery?
Mine did a similar odd thing when I first wiped battery stats. Was playing angry birds to drain battery right down and it turned off, but would not start. LED just blinked when power was in. I just had to plug it in and unplug it a bunch of times and it finally started charging.
I did wipe battery stats last week, but have been through a few drain/recharge cycles since then. When I start with the charger connected and insert battery it gets past the boot animation and then shuts off. I tried with a different battery yesterday, and it worked fine. When you say plug it in and unplug, do you mean connecting and disconnecting charger, just repeatedly?
yeah, was just plugging and unplugging a lot and it finally worked. If another battery worked then that would seem to be the fix.
Will try that. Thanks!
Managed to get it to start by putting the battery in after starting with just the charger first. Had to try a bunch of times before it worked. Been charging now for 5 hours, but it never gets past 10% charge on the battery? Do I just let it keep charging or is there some other way to fix it?
That happened to me in the day I bought my phone. It only started with the charger plugged in (and with no battery).
I thought the problem was in the battery, but in the store they tried with a new battery and the phone did not connect. So they replaced and everything is fine (since September).

[Q] Help please. Nexus 4 gone :'dead' after charging ;-(

Good morning. Yesterday night i put my nexus into charging and when i woke up this morning the phone was dead. I have no reaction on any combination of the keys. I tried to remove a battery but i seems do not help me at all :crying: my phone is rooted and I'm using a LINAROBEAN Rom by tackleberry_crash last 2 or 3 months. I tried to connect my mobile into pc by i've got no reaction. Just charging led is on and thats it. PS. When i connect my phone into charger battery level was about 58%. Any ideas what might to be happened? i"m in UK. Just in case: how the servicing plocdure lookes like, and where i need to send my mobile?
If charging led is on, try and let it charge again, for an hour or so using wall plug or alternatively by computer. Then try to turn it on.
If it never turns on after you tried charging, maybe get a replacement battery?
I just came back from the work. Phone was in a charger about 10hrs (i used a diferent charger frommy htc). phone is still dead

[Q] N7 appears to be completely dead

Hi,
Bought this back and the end of January, and it's been in use ever since. It was charged about three weeks ago and then I got busy, so it discharged. When I plug it in, absolutely nothing happens. It shows no indication that it is charging at all. I left it plugged in overnight, and it does not appear to have charged at all. I tried a couple of cords. My wife's N7 is fine, so I used her cord, with the same result.
This is a completely stock, unrooted N7. Can anyone think of anything else that I can try? Or is this thing just dead?

Charging problem. USB board dead?

Hello all,
I have a Galaxy S4 (i337) since April 27, 2013; it's been working great...until today. Earlier this afternoon I plugged my phone on the charger because the battery was running low. I noticed that the phone wasn't charging at all...or at least it seemed that way. On the battery section of the Settings app, it stated that the phone wasn't charging, but the percentage kept rising every few minutes. It did the same turned off, on or on TWRP, but the phone kept saying it wasn't plugged in.
Hoping it was a kernel/driver issue with the nightlies I've been running I switched ROMs and even restore from a backup I made a few days ago. Nothing new happened. I kept getting the "not charging" thing. So I unplugged it and the battery started draining quickly, about 10% every 15-20 minutes on standby and light use. So I switched batteries, chargers and nothing.
So, can anyone tell me what's going on here? I already purchased the USB board, but I was wondering if there was an easier solution. I tried cleaning the contacts, but they're not as bad as they could be. So if anyone can shed some light on this issue I'll be very grateful.
Thanks!
Update: This keeps getting weirder. I turned the phone off and plugged it in overnight and this morning the phone fully charged. Although when turned on there's no indication whatsoever of the charger being plugged in. This is frustrating.
