Wifi dropping out - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

I have a problem with my wifi tablets wifi signal
I line to use my tab when I'm free and at work so I use the wifi that they provide its a very large stable network, its a university it has to be.
They have wifi blanketing the whole campus with 3 significations "wireless" "secure" "guest" "voice"
They all require some form of verification and the preceded is secure as one login with propped saved credentials keeps you online as you move from building to building or router to router
Where I'm sitting now I get a 100% strength signal however it will randomly drop off completely and only reconnect when toggling on and off wifi
Any ideas?

unstable wifi connection solved
Hi folks, just go to "Wireless setting" on your router, open your browser, type 192.168...as whatever to log in your router. Then set the right region, set channel not many using in your area, then uncheck "the automatic channel width" and choose either 20M or 40M. Remember to uncheck the automatic channel width. Best for Samsung tab 7.7 p6800.That's it folks. Hope it'll help.

WiFi Disconnection problems

Hi
I've always had this WiFi problem that after about 5 minutes of usage the internet connection disappears on my phone but the WiFi logo stays.
This forces me to disable and reenable WiFi on my phone.
Later I discovered that this only happens with WPA secured access points.
WEP and non secured access points work fine.
I tested my phone with 3 routers. Same results for all. On my first 2 routers it wasn't a problem because I just set up WEP security.
With my new router I cannot do this because it has wireless N which doesn't support WEP...
Also this happens will all ROMs, even the stock ROM.
After Google'ing this issue I found out that I am not the only one having this issue...
Does anyone know if there's a fix for this?
No one knows what the issue is?
Wifi works fine here using WPA2 and AES, my router is an ASUS RT-N16 running Tomato USB firmware.
Alright, so I decided to run logcat to capture the moment when the connection drops.
Here's the image of the log window:

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
How I tested this:
1) Ran adb logcat in Windows.
2) Enabled WiFi connection.
3) Opened up YouTube, selected a 10 minute long video.
4) After about 4 minutes, the video froze, because it ran out of buffer.

I actually checked my APN. its online.telia.se.
I haven't changed the original Rom so I assume the rest should be correct. I live in Sweden.

Why is my 6P always turning WiFi On?

Pretty much sums it up. I have location based wifi turned off but whenever I get in a spot with open WiFi it will turn on automatically. I don't mind it most of the time but I really don't want it to happen at work.

Are you on Project-Fi?
No I'm not, I'm on AT&T.

This did install not long ago and maybe I should delete it. I kinda wondered because I think that may be a project fi app.

Correct the app is related to Project Fi.
Did you disable Wi-Fi scanning as well?

It hasn't happened since I disabled that app, that was definitely the issue.

It's always been normal for my older phones to have both on at the same time. I assumed the wifi would take precedence dunno.
On my new S7E I saw a setting for fast downloads that uses both at the same time. You might have that turned on.
It's called download booster under, settings, wireless and networks, more.

Have the same issue on mine after the update where both shows up. When this happens its usually in an area where data and wifi aren't strong so it seems that it uses a combined signal from both for faster connections. Usually I just turn off wifi and turn it back on and then it'll be wifi only.

As already said by @Flintlock take a closer look at the following settings:

Do you have any 3rd party launchers/widgets installed ? You may want to look into that list of apps first. I would also uninstall lesser known apps first, one by one, and check which one caused the issue
I actually did that, no widgets, no launcher just the page you see in the screen shots, no lesser known apps, nothing fixes it.

I'm not sure if this would work, but try disabling Nearby Device Scanning from settings and see if this fixes the issue.
I used to get that when the profile sharing thing was enabled, can't remember what it is called exactly but it was a Samsung thing that lets you share your gallery to family members etc. I debloated my phone though so can't remember the name exactly.
I don't get the error when I'm connected to WiFi only get the error when I'm not connected to any data or when I'm on 4g.
