Wifi Not Working On Any Rom!!

Hey guys. It's been a while but I've ran into a problem with my mytouch today when I tried to turn wifi on for the first time in forever. It just wouldnt connect. It would say aquiring ip address from [network] and then flash to disconnected, then scanning, then acquiring ip address again.
I've tried flashing a different rom, doing a nand restore to my previous rom (which had wifi working), and trying my friend's wifi and none of those worked.
Wifi stopped working after flashing this rom.

I've had issues with WPA2 networks where my phone wouldn't connect at first.
Try removing the network and starting over.
Still a no go.
Could it be a bad kernel that you've been installing?
It may also be a hardware failure (worst case scenario)
Try changing your network security type, or removing it completely.
I forgot to mention that I changed the kernal too. Still not working. I don't think (or I hope) it's not hardware failure. It's still picking up wifi signals and detecting networks. It just doesn't actually connect.
EDIT:
Wow I feel like the biggest noob now. After changing every possible thing I could think of on my phone, I restarted my router and my phone connected right after. That was really strange considering every other wireless device in the house had no trouble connecting but oh well. It works. Can't complain now. Thanks for the help guys
Same with MT3G. Can not connect any wifi now (Just 1 time after Flashing 2.2 ROM).
Don't know how to fix.
Changed 2 Froyo ROM already
same issue
Same problem here after flashing a Hero ROM like 5 months ago. Can't connect to WiFi, but I can still search and attempt to connect to a wifi network, but won't actually connect. I can still WiFi tether, which leads me to believe it's not a hardware issue...

N7 & Wifi(Foxfi on Rezound)

Since my phone finally updated to ICS (non-root) Foxfi's Wifi now works on my phone. I used the Bluetooth before the update and yes i know BT is better as it saves battery. Yet when i try to connect my N7 to my rezound it'll find it but it'll forever look for the IP address. Is this something normal or is there a work around to fix the wifi. I'd like to have both options if needed be. Thanks
Edit: Just tried it with my laptop & other wifi only cellphone and nothing.

[Q] Tilapia wireless won't find any wireless network

Hi every body,,,
my tilapia wireless wont' find any wireless network, it's ON , but it's searching and nothing will be find,
I tried almost every rom, and it's not working,
pls Help
Did you try with a custom kernel?
The WiFi aerial is built into the rear cover. There are reports of signal problems due to either the back cover not being pressed on fully or the spring connector tabs breaking or being pushed in too far to make a connection with the aerial.

[Q] updated to 4.3, wifi still not working at home

Back on 4.2.2, the wifi at my house suddenly stopped working, I know because I tried connecting at friends house and such. i thought with the 4.3 update, there would be a slim chance that my wifi would magically start working again, but to no avail.
I would really really appreciate some help in getting my wifi back up and running on my phone.
Thanks in advance

WIFI problems

Hello together
i own this beauty for about 4 weeks and still have a problem (with stock ROM, AOSiP and LOS16) and dont know what else i should do.
Everything is working fine and WIFI-connection is perfect. But after a time there is no traffic any more. But i am connected to the WIFI.
When i de/reactivate the WIFI and connect again to the same as before all is working perfect again.
Is there any setting i dont see?
I hope you can help me!
Thank you and best greetings

Could be a number of things. As you've tried several ROM's I'd be looking at your router/modem first, is it running latest firmware (and maybe also not a very old model), check settings eg automatic address allocation, security/gaming/voip etc settings, maybe start fresh with a factory reset also.
Also consider other networked devices interfering.
A friend of mine has a Motorola phone that did the same thing with a TP-Link router. Rebooting the router would fix it for awhile and the router had the latest firmware. Eventually, he replaced the router and has not had any issues since.

Thank you for the answer
Yeah, i also first suspected the router, but all the other devices in our house are running normal so i forgot about it.
I am running latest FW on my Asus DSL-AC87VG but as you told i´ll try a factory reset.

Is your router close to any other electronics? I've had problems with it if they're right next to other equipment but moving it a few feet away and everything is consistent.
