Hi,
I've finally upgraded my defy with red lens cm7.1 to cm7.2. Everything works fine except camera. Image is turned on 180 (head over heels), no focus and bad colors...
I've tried to put new camera lib from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=816971&d=1323911974
set permissions [rw-r--r--] and reboot. But it didn't help me.
How to fix camera? Thanks for any help...

The camera works with the cm72-111213.0943-NIGHTLY-Defy+ nightly - of course red-lense only. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20267108&postcount=14484 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20399252&postcount=14580

cm72-111215.1631-NIGHTLY-Defy+ has the inverted picture issue.
Install cm72-111213.0943-NIGHTLY-Defy+ instead and install Camera.apk and overlay.omap.so from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20399252&postcount=14580

I installed an apk from here - celsoazevedo Pixel3 Mod google camera. However, after I installed it my front camera has stopped working altogether. The button has disappeared from the stock cam app and in apps like WhatsApp and instagram it is showing me a zoomed in viewfinder of the back camera. I have flashed a stock fastboot rom. Factory reset it it my front camera is still not working. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this problem. Thank you.

To use the gcam from celsoazevedo you must activate cam2 api, as in stock doesnt have it activated. Uninstall that camera or activate camera2 api, but you must be rooted

Uninstall the cam you installed earlier or install the rom again
So apparently in a few MIUI10 based ROMs there's a bug
with the Camera2 implementation.
Just download this zip file and flash it via TWRP,
it will rotate your front camera back to its right angle
working with gcam?

If the upside down happens ONLY with Gcam, I would not mess with it.
BUT
if you're experiencing EXACTLY this bug, it's affecting ALL your cameras apps, since it's a system/etc/camera setting.
Then, this patched file will fix them all!

Front cam is still upside down
Nvm, fixed it. I changed the front cam degrees to 360 instead of 270. Lol weird
I am still having updside down issue after the patch. Any suggestions?
Enviado de meu MI 5 usando o Tapatalk
Whatsapp selfie camera takes upsidedown selfies, I just noticed. All other cameras seem normal, Gcam included(orientation is ok after processing). Mount angle is already 270 for my front cam, I might have changed that specially for Gcam when i upgraded fw to MIUI10(.eu)
LE. changed front cam orientation to 360(was 270) and got the stock cam selfie upsidedown(probably all other cameras), so not an option and seems this is the stock setting for my fw.
tried and when the front camera was turned on, there was no error, but the shot after it was turned upside down )
Hello! I've issue with upside down camera after this patch, tried to change back to 360 but no result. Camera is upside down everywhere (gcam, miui cam, skype etc.) No rooted global stable ROM 10.2

Hi i've flashed the zip on Havoc 2.4 but now I get the frontal photo rotated with any camera app. Before was just the GCam with the photo shooted. How can i revert it?
Edit: with root access open this file
Code:
/system/etc/camera/msm8996_camera.xml
Find the part that said:
Code:
<Position>FRONT</Position>
<MountAngle>270</MountAngle>
Change the MountAngle to 360 and then reboot, this worked for me.
Thanks
