Hi,
I followed guides in the wiki and mostly this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1618904. It is working perfectly! However, the battery indicator shows at most 90%.
Is there any way to recalibrate this? Do I need to install any battery fixes?
Thanks in advance!

mine charges to 80 per but if i switch it off and charge shows 100 per chrgn. CM9 big problem. my build is latest by epsy
If you are running Epsylon's Defy+ builds, you need battery fix. Defy+ battery fix by walter79 on Ms2Ginger thread should work. If you're still confused about battery fixes, I would recommend CM9/CM10 Defy+ builds by Quarx which doesn't need any battery fixes.

I am running Epsylon's Defy+ Build (Quarx mirrors were down when I tried to get a build). I'll try the mentioned battery fix, thanks for the tip. And yes, I am confused about battery fixes and why one build needs them and one not.
Thanks!
EDIT: I have now installed the fix from walter79, I'll see how that goes. Otherwise I might try the Quarx builds. What's the difference between Quarx and Epsylon (except battery fix)?
There is no real fix for battery on red lens defy+. It might show you full charge but it will never go more than 4.15V and it used to be 4.35V in stock rom.
I tried all possible roms and battery fixes. At least 6 roms and 4 fixes. None of them really worked.

Well, after installing the battery fix the phone at least said "Charged" instead of stopping at "Charging 90%". Seems to work. Are the different red lens and green lens for Defy+ as well as Defy?

Hi forums,
Last night, i upgraded to ICS. Everything went smooth.. First i install the CM9 kernal, then ICS, following latest gapps. Looks awesome .. I was so hyped, i left it in charge and went to sleep. This morning, i see my phone dead. I took out the battery and put it in charger again. All i get is battery logo with question mark. then i connected to my pc, after about every \ 10mins it turns on, then turns off after 1min???
I tried to look for solution, mostly suggest to use RSD Lite and go back to Froyo 2.2.2 but my phone barely turns on for 1min then goes off.
The other solution suggested to cut out a usb cable and connect it between the battery and the phone. I tried it but no luck yet.
Maybe the battery is dead? if not, any other solution?
thanks!
EDIT: nevermind: this solution worked!

This is very common issue for which you could have found the solution very easily had you scanned through cm9 threads. Basically there is a battery fix which you can flash it through cwm recovery.
enjoy, hit thanks if I had helped you.

Yes. I created this fix for regular Defy with red lense, running ICS on GB kernel - no matter if it is Quarx or Epsylon3's build - works on all of them.
does this work on defy green lense too?

I flashed ICS in my Defy+, but dint face this issue of battery not charging! Was I simply lucky or something else?!
For me with Defy+ the maximal battery level with Epsylon3's ICS could be reached is 91%

i am very new to all this, jus rooted my phone, installed CM9, CM9-NIGHTLY-120428-Defy+ on my defy plus , red lense, with boot loader 7. im having battery issues , it stays on 82 % and doesnt get charged more than that and drains very easily. where do i get my hands on the battery fix?? the link to drop box is not working, says the acc is disabled, and can i flash this battery fix irrespective of the nightly version?? pls help!!
Battery fix is not for your phone. You have a Defy+ (MB526) and this fix is for MB525 - regular Defy with red lense. Find my tutorial for Quarx's Defy/Defy+ CM9 builds and flash the latest build. The one you are using is pretty old
Help battery dont charge
See this screenshot.........i am charging my cell and it is showing also its charging but not even d graph nor the battery icon is increasing .
Seriously help me
I am on CM10.2...i cant understand whats wrong
Hi all,
I have in my Defy+ CM9 ROM (see screenshot) and my battery charge only to 86%.
On this forum i found only battfix for RED LENSE (what is RL?).
Please help me to find correctly battfix for my ROM/kernel.
Or is there any another method to resolve this problem?
Many thanks :good:
Flash the fix
You probably installed froyo version of CM9. The thing that causes your battery to charge at 86% is because you have froyo version for Defy(original) and he has smaller battery, so counter shows 86%(DEFY+)=100%(DEFY)
Flash the fix(RL one) and it should work.
NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR!!!

Better flash another build (I'd suggest Quarx's) that is for Defy+.
And as to your other question(What is RL?), read threads before you post. Its been answered countless times.
Questions go in the Q&A section
Hello,
Since i installed CM9 on my moto defy+ i flashed the battery fix aswell and their was nothing wrong but now second day i want to charge again and now it charges for a max of 87% thats really weird. since i flashed the battery fix or do i need to do it again?

Not for defy+. Its for regular defy's who want the defy+ build. Only useful for red lens because otherwise the camera doesn't work.
Just flash the rom again without the battery fix. No wipe needed. Then it will be fine.

Did this work?
And if so could I please ask your opinion? I also have a red lens defy. I am on Epsylon3's froyo kernel and using Quarx's CM10. I want to go back to CM7.2 and want to use Quarx's nightly that has 720p recording. Do I need to flash a GB kernel and use the defy+ build for 720p to work, or can I stay on the froyo kernel and use the defy build? The reason I want to stay on froyo kernel is that I don't want the battery issues.
I tried a CM7 Defy+ build on my Defy Red Lens, used a battery fix I got from the ParanoidAndroid dev forum and it kinda worked. I say kinda cuz when I try to reboot it actually powers off and cannot get on til a battery pull, but everything else is OK

I have a CM9 GB kernel on defy red lens, wanted to install CM7 Defy + as multiboot. But my Cm7 shows a '?' for the battery status icon. Tried Battery fix for 1500mah defy red lense also tried ICS red lense batt fix but no use.
Battery fix
This is battery fix for Defy+ (MB526)
Install via "flash .zip" in the recovery them restart your phone
If it don't work, it's that the kernel had changed so, re-install attached kernel also by "flash .zip" in recovery system, restart your phone and you will see the battery's percentage.

Bro.. I had the same problem (Defy green lens)and was able to fix it with 2nd boot quarx rom and the camera got fixed. Thanks to Quarx and this community ! I had battery drain issues on official GB ROM and my battery would hardly last for 4-5 hrs even when not in use and would be dead in a couple of hours of internet usage over GPRS and would drain close to 50% even on stand by & screen turned off.
Did u experience same issues ? if so, has this been solved after installing this new ROM ?
Did u flash 2.2 (froyo) kernel while installing the new ROM ? coz I'm afraid to do so.. as it might burn my device..

not sure what you are aking but if you have bl7 on your green len dont flah any kernels except the one from quarx if you want the phone to enirely work
as for the drainage iue i ddint have before or after quarx cm10
i dont have my defy anymore
but with 1 hour of talking 2-3 of wifi and 1 of 3g it lasted 2 days
so maybe its just your battery
try to fully charge it
then go to cutom recovery -> advanced -> wipe battery stat
or fully charge it and use from playtore a battery calibration app

I mean, I have a Defy (Green lens) my phone was updated to Defy+ firmware(official 2.3.6 )by the service center and naturally that screwed up my battery and camera . So I guess I'm on BL7 ROM now. Camera came alive only after installing the CM10 Quarx ROM but the battery life doesn't seem to change much. I'm now on 17/11 ROM coz, heard that this ROM has battery battery backup, not sure how far will it help in my situation bcoz after the 2.3.6 firmware update by service center battery completely screwed up and used to last for half a day at most.
Plz let me know if there is a solution for the battery drain issue that I'm facing. May be a battery fix or something
Thanks and regards

are you sure your carrier updated your phone to defy+ firmware?
cause if so they should change it for you
do you have dfp 188 / dfp 231 / dfp 2311
check them somewhere in the about phone section from settings
if you have them youre surely on bl7
as for the battery dont know what to say
you can try to contact quarx for more details

not untill the bootloader is unlocked and there are minimal chances
the only way is to stay on quarx's cm10

Hi Brother, It's been a loong time now.. but if you are still active here, could you please help me out with a stable 2nd boot Quarx ROM or any other stable 2nd boot ROM that works for me? As I'm still running on Nightlies (Sept 30th) and development on this is going painfully slow...: well can't complain though.. I just need something more stable.. the nightlies have some lag and the devices seems to be too slow even when not using data. I just want to put a stable OS on this and keep this aside.
Thanks for all the help from this community.. Really greatfull
