Phone from icraveit.com FAKE ???

Anyone ordered a phone from icraveit.com - http://www.icraveit.com/i/item/1000...-T4243-Quad-band-Cell-Phone-w--GPS-T4243.html
Is it original from HTC or a chinese one? I could not get any reply from icraveit.com regarding the phone (especially the speed..)?
I am trying to get an Iolite and dont know if this is good.

Hard to tell... The name is not right, but there is no specification, so we cannot see which processor is used on this model.

I think it's fake the name is not right and the Warranty is only 30-Days

Smells like fake indeed....price is soo low....and original version comes with more accesories....like car mount, pouch, screen protector, extra stylus....and in my country with TomTom.....

It does state it's recertified ( refurbished ). I was thinking the 4243 is US/NA version. Can anyone clarify this?

I got mine from MidnightBox.com, it is the retail version, and the true model. It included all the gadgets. Not sure if the one you are mentioning is a fake since they stated that it is out of stock and no picture.

Howto identify the model

Hi,
Am planning to buy a N1 (from ebay india) to sink my teeth into Android (not just the app development part).
Just wanted to know if there are several different models of the Nexus one out there? And if so how to identify each.
Also as I'm getting it off ebay wanted to make sure I was not getting a fake. So does anyone know how to identify if it's a fake when I receive it?

Check out the FCC number on the back to be sure whether you're getting the 850/1900/2100 version or the 900/AWS/2100 version.

Do this! Make sure you get the right version for you!
(FYI - if you don't care about 850/1900 vs. 900/AWS, you should know that the 850/1900 is no longer available, so ebay prices for it seem to be $100-$200 more than the AWS version [which can still be had as the dev phone from google])

jeez, dude...understand the question!

And also it'd be good to know if it's the AMOLED or SLCD model. You can tell the difference by the way it looks booting up in a dark room. What I don't know is, are there any differences in the model #s written on the back of the phone for the SLCD models?

And any way to confirm its the real deal once I get the phone (while booting or something)?
Just trying to be careful as I can't afford to waste too much (still studying ), and I don't want to get some cheap chinese fake.

If it's a knock off, it's not going to be genuine Android, so it'll be obvious.

As the title says... Box and manuel etc are all for the 32gig wifi model! Not impressed tho, waste of my time.. Have to send it back an wait till this coming thursday for a replacement!
Anyone else had this problem? Great bit of kit tho, looking forward to being able to use.. Ordered a 32gb mem card! Shame there isnt a great deal of proper cases/gel covers for it?

Only issue apart from that is lack of asscesories (hopefully change soon) and the grid for placment of widgets? Is that changable, so they dont snap to?

I heard about people getting the 16GB intead of 32GB but not with 3G. A misstake at packaging, no problems changing the bought device to a 32GB version.

While I have heard of 1 person buying a 16gb version of the tablet and thinking they were buying a 32gb version, no proof was ever posted in that instance either and you're suggesting the box was labeled a501 and 32gb?
I call bs. As sofiaeriksson suggested, that could be a packaging error but 1 instance of that happened? Unlikely.
And since you're OP it was only a waste of your time - as if to suggest you paid the same price for a 32gb 3g model as you would have for the currently only released 16gb wifi model, it sounds more like you made a shady deal and got taken.

As the title says.. I ordered the 32gb wifi model and go the 16gb 3g model, box etc and lable says 32gig A500!
It would seem like a packaging error how else do you explain the mix up in model/packaging!..

You're right. You did say, you picked up an a500 32gb but you got an a501 16gb 3g.
Let me clarify.
To my knowledge, there is no a500 32gb in the wild. (**correction: J&R seem to be the only site listed from acer that have a 32gb version) I don't know where you ordered it from but you say the box is labeled 32gb and that error just hasn't been reported.
Believe me, if there were a slew of shipped 16gb a500 packaged in 32gb labeled boxes, there would a ton of pissed off consumers (; But there isn't. Something is fishy there. I'm not necessarily pointing fingers at you... I'm just saying, it doesn't add up.
There is no 3g model in the wild. While pre-patched a500 will say a501 in the tablet specs, it is in fact, an a500. The same reason why when you open up the sim slot, you'll see that extra area for what would be the sim card. It's just that we're sharing the same body with the a501 and shipped revision.
If you send it back, I'm not exactly sure what they will do with it. Where did buy it from and how much did you pay?

Wrong. There are LOADS of 32gb A500 models in the wild. I'm posting this from one of them.

Strange, I'm not seeing 'loads' through my searches. Even J&R is sketchy but most of them are overseas or preorder.

Check the flag under my name... Maybe the US got short shrift. AFAIK, *all* A500's in the EU are 32gb models.

I did correct my post before FloatingFatMan responded and I did say 'To my knowledge' not, 'It's a fact'. (speaking from NA) I knew there were 32gb models out there, there are many post from people here who claimed as much as part of their description or in passing.
I'm still calling this a bs complaint but that's neither here nor there. You're only recourse is to send it back if, in fact, there was a 16gb model in a 32gb box. At this point, pictures wouldn't even prove your argument. It's just bs all around.

Totally, utterly and completely wrong, wrong wrong.
The US is merely a tiny portion of the larger world, y'know. 32gb models are available in plentiful supply in Europe.

I find it funny how im full of it just because it isnt for sale in the US? Im well aware that the 3G model isnt out!!
Which was the point of the thread as i was rather supprised when i checked the device - finding it to be a 16gb 3G ..

i had that same problem. I bought mine in Sweden when it launched. The packaging and manual said 32gb wifi, the tablet was 16gb wifi. As for many orhers in the tab specs (about tablet) it said A501, it said the same on my new 32gb model but that's fixed with the new update that i got today.
At the retailer they said the product id on the box was consistent with the id on the tab (about tablet). This is a packaging error, nothing more and it's easy to change it to get what you paid for. It's unfortniute but **** happens. Atleast fir me my retailer threw in a 32gb micro sd card for the problem f going back to change it.
I've heard of this happening three times in sweden, prob more though.
The conlusion, he read A501 in the tablet specs and didn't know it was a common misstake.,.problem solved.
Exchange it and ask for some compensation like a micro sd, usb flash drive or something like that, hopefully you'll get something good for the problems this caused you.

Need help identifying my headunit plus more

Like many of you, I purchased a descent android based navi/headunit off of ebay. Well, it's been in my car for 6 months and now I want more from it. Problem is, I don't know if I can because I can't ID the darn thing. It says TOCADO on the ebay listing. It's a 7 inch 1024x600 screen, 1.6ghz a9 cortex, 2 gb ram, 16 gb storage. and KitKat 4.4.2
None of the passwords for pureandroid, pumpkin or really anything else, works. Can I root it? Can I update 4.4 to 5.x and later?

looking on ebay, the only TOCADO that resembles yours only has 1gb ram. are you sure you have 2gb? what country are you from? if your from outside US, perhaps the one you ordered is not available in US?

Oneplus 5 Midnight Black with 6gb RAM and 64gb ROM??

Hello,
I bought on Gearbest, without knowing, a chinese version of oneplus 5. The color black was so cheap that i decided to buy but after some days i realised that the phone only had 6gb ram which i though was really strange because there's no black version with 6gb ram. The phone comes with OxygenOS, which is even weird because chinese version comes with H2OS.
So.. what shloud i expect? Should I be worry? The weird part is that i can't find anyone on the internet talking about this "Black version with 6gb RAM".

Probably wrong labeling.
There's no 6/64GB Midnight Black version at the time of writing this. None that I know of at least.
So it's either wrongly labeled or has the wrong pictures.

I spoke to the vendor and he said that it's correct the description.. And i spoke to a person o bought from the same vendor and he has the black version with 6gb RAM

How can they sell something that even OnePlus themselves doesn't sell?

I don't know how but the black version from that link is a 6gb RAM, i asked a guy who bought from the same link and he confirmed it.
I bought from that link too, it probably arrives next week.
