I haven't realy seen a modded one except for ezterrys and that dosnt really oc past 614mhz I tried the 32b one but my usb connect and teathind failed so I was just asking for some suggestions

If you want, on my ics thread there's my build of ezterry's kernel. It has patches for ics (which shouldn't affect anything on previous versions I hope...) and overclocking to 710mhz and other stuff..
I know but when I ysed it no usb connect via rom only recovery could u fix
Sent from my HTC Magic using xda app-developers app
what rom are you using? if youre on froyo and earlier, you need a froyo kernel. gingerbread and later need a gb one. ezterry's ezgb kernel has a froyo and gb version.
I know but thing is I want one with the 710 oc when I was useing your rom I had that oc but no usb connect via rom...the one ezz made has the ram hack but not past 614 oc

That's normal for 32B devices Some phones won't even go up to 595mhz without crashing..

Thanks for the link. It sounds like it has a different (oc) kernel. Is it not possible to use the stock one?

why would you not want to? they obviously included something that is "behind the scenes" that will help your phone with performance.
I have this installed, I don't think he did anything to the kernel. he just mentions that the oc kernel he uses works with it well. maybe I'm missing something but I haven't noticed any overclocking stubs.

overclocking stubs?
you have to have an app (such as setcpu) to overclock...the kernel just allows for the phone to be overclocked and i can only imagine the stock kernel did not.
You can find app in forums if you search for its free to xda users.

I installed the rom and so far so good. The reason I want it as stock as possible with no overclocking is primarily battery life and just to see how it was released. I did notice you can toggle third-party installs, which allowed me to continue using swype.

He also compiled a OC kernel using the Aria Froyo 2.2 kernel source code that was released this week, too. The OC won't affect battery life if you don't enable it.
Thanks. Any idea what the APN settings should be to use mobile hotspot sans att?

Yes, bad wording. when I tried setcpu there was no option to go higher (ability or "stubs" not there)
I've since gone up to gene's oc kernel with no problems so far.

I rooted and flashed my phone (for the first time) to this today, such a huge improvement (IMO) compared to the stock rom. Am loving every bit of it!
i'm currently running ARHD 3.3 + Buzz Sense 1.3.8 OC+ kernel.. was wondering about the CyanogenMod roms.. i'm kinda into OCing scene.. read some article about the ability of the said ROM to OC till 1.8gHz.. was wondering what version CyanogenMod rom was used with which kernel..? is it stable?

With LorDMod V1.2.2 you can OC up to 1958 MHz, but be carefull and read the instructions.
Many thanks. Will try em.
DHD frm XDA App
Be careful and have fun.
Ok.. tried to flash with full wipe zip, clear dalvik cache. Flash was successful until it starts to reboot once I turned the WiFi on. And its stuck on bootloop. Seeing the prob, I flash back to my previous ROM. any thoughts?

Read the first thread of cm7 mate...
You should reboot first after the flash of rom...
Never turn on wifi at first reboot..
Always reboot 1x2x to make it as fresh as possible..

Thanks mate. Will try again tomorrow.

Dont need to flash again... just turn on wifi after reboot

How to access the phone SD through PC? When i connect to PC, it just shows charging, USB debugging. The option to sync or access SD is not there.

Is it possible to overclock the stock HTC Tattoo ROM using SetCPU and some kernel Patches? If it is possible where can u get the kernel patch for a stock ROM?
I think it would be possible IF you've got an overclocking app that runs on android 1.6 AND overclock kernel.

If your running stock froyo scaryghouls kernels are talked about as being really good i just never used it, bcnice20s kernels is what i always used on froyo, now when it comes to stock GB there is no kernel source from htc so all the newer kernels are for aosp 2.3.4 or 2.3.5 i cant keep up with aosp
Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk
Never used the Kernel manager. But if your running stock Froyo Shift Rom you can try one of these. I've used them all with good results. First one is my favorite.

No problem .Glad I could help . Just remember to hit the Thanks button anytime ANYONE helps you.
ive heard not so good things of kernel manager
and was told to stay away from it..
but im glad yer problem was fixed now.
whoever said that is simply wrong. kernel manager is a good tool. it downloads/checks download integrity/clears cache and dalvik/installs kernel all in a single step.
the only thing you have to decide is which kernel you want.

What ROM are you using and what kernel did you flash?
Froyo from what I was told.
Hey just an update, I flashed the x99 kernel and all seems to be working well. 4G works and gas works well just used it to find the hospital. Gonna check the hotspot and WiFi soon. Thanx again. And one more question, where is this thank u button. Is it in the main site.

Glad everythings working right now . Can't see the button in XDA App / Tapatalk. It's the thanks button. Thumbs up in a rectangle, says THANKS.
Anyone have any luck with PERSHOOT'S V2 Kernel? Keeps freezing my phone no matter what my min/max/gov are...
Currently using V1...
