Interesting battery drain - Atrix 4G General

Its weird that my battery drains very fast from 90 to 30 but after 30 it slows way down. My usage pattern is the same throughout the day as can be seen. Anyone know why that is?

Probably app related. Some apps, like Dropbox, will stop synching with the server once the battery gets to a certain level. Are you using any server intensive apps? Streaming?

You should calibrate your battery. I always do this after switching ROMs
I leave it charging overnight and, when I wake up, I delete the file 'batterystats.bin' with the phone still plugged (I don't remember in which folder, but there are some apps in the Market which delete it (Battery Calibration or something like that)), then I reboot and unplug it. Let the phone running until the battery hits 0%, then recharge it to 100% again. It should help you with your problem.

Battery app?

last night i had about 65% battery at 1:30am and when i woke up at 10:30am i found my phone dead. i have taskiller full so i am sure my phone wasnt running any apps since i have it set to clear on screen off. anyone know apps to see whats eating my battery or say what your battery app does?
Killing apps often has the opposite effect that you intended. Sometimes because you killed an app, it will get stuck or crash and hold the phone in wakelock mode, meaning it will never sleep. This will drain the battery very fast.
Apps often restart automatically as well, so it's wasting battery to have them be killed and restarting all the time. Having it set to kill all apps on screen off is just about the absolute worst thing you can possibly do.
With the Nexus One, you don't need to kill your apps. Let Android handle it.

[Edit]:
For an app to see battery usage, you can use Android's built-in battery usage monitor. I'm not sure if you're aware of it.

[Q] Xperia Play charges by itself *magically*

Ok so my battery percentage has been acting really really strange. As shown in the images below. It was at 70% then I was warching a few youtube videos and some other stuff and it dropped to +/- 30%. So far it all makes sense but then I put it a way in my pocket and after half an hour I went to take a look and it was at 60% ??? Why is my Xperia Play doing this?

Now I'm scared to rely on the percentage indicator because I don't know how accurate it is and if it is showing a higher than normal charge or a lower than normal.
I am running Gin2jellybean custom rom with doomkernel14. I am overclocked at 1.2GHZ.
I remember back when I was stock I had a similar problem but it wasn't this severe like it would usually go up 1 or 2%
Also I do the clear battery stats (I do the method properly) once every month or two. I think I did it 2 weeks ago.
Any ideas?
Try to wipe caches and battery stats. And try bad ass battery monitor its free from the play store

Just need to recalibrate the battery. No sweat.

Battery Life on Verizon

So my s5 is at 75% with just 40 minutes of screen on time, so by this math it'll be about 2.5 hours screen time when it dies on it's twelfth hour. It seems to me like the battery should be better. Is this similar to what others are getting. Usually android proces/system aren't at the top but they are here.

lol mine is at 3hrs at 50% so my math says that i will prob get 7hrs screen on time...
my recommendation would be that you check on what apps you are installing and see the phone settings screen brightness, etc

I don't have hardly anything installed, besides if it was some app I'm pretty sure it would show up on the battery stats, that's why I'm confused.

Really bad battery life? Help

So I've been experiencing some very bad battery life ever since i got this phone. I get between 5-7 hours of battery life with an average of 3 hours of on screen time. I do use a lot of Spotify, Bluetooth and Instagram. Instagram makes my phone feel hot quickly. Like its using a lot of CPU. I've also noticed i got a few wakelocks. Any help? Anyone got any tips? I don't feel like deleting Instagram neither lol

I also have Instagram Greenified. If i didn't manually close Instagram before shutting the screen off, it would keep running in the background and keep my phone hot.
This might sound stupid, but it worked for me before, but have you tried just restarting the phone? One time I was getting terrible battery life over several battery cycles and doesn't know how to get rid of the wakelock so I restarted my phone and next cycles were a lot better. It might just be a "band-aid" for the real problem, but it might help some.

Radio shows as off+battery frain

So I have been having battery issues on my Note 3 for a while now. Android system has been a large offender of using my battery, but I've also noticed that there are gaps in my mobile network signal. From this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26891039&postcount=14 I'm gathering that my radio is off? This happens when screen is on, but mostly when it's off. During these times I can get texts, and everything works fine. Just my battery starts to drain faster. The area under my camera also gets rather hot. This is my 2nd Note 3 with this issue, the first one was RMAed because it would not get messages on time.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
Running Jasmine ROM 2.4.1.

I believe with your radio off you should drain less battery. Mine does it too, and I have awesome battery life without being rooted. Usually well over 24 hours with heavy use, and 6 hours or more on screen time. I recently did a factory reset so maybe that's what you need for better life?
