[ROM][AOSP][7/25/2012] Jelly Bean Project Jandycane Is GOOD - Kindle Fire General

flash v1.6.2 yesterday to replace my official rom.
this new jelly bean rom is stable and fast.
i do not like quick navi style task bar, which cause more clicks for normal task.

Yes it is a great rom but please don't start threads like this. It would be much better if you gave feedback directly in the rom thread. Or in the Jellybean discussion thread.

You might want to remove [ROM][AOSP][7/25/2012] from your thread title. You really only should add that if you are the author and posting your dev status, updates, and general support chatter in the thread, which would be in the dev forum BTW.

Separate sticky thread for maintaining the index for roms, kernels

Guys as the title tells, can someone experienced enough create a sticky thread for listing all the custom roms and kernels that are available for our galaxy s2?
And also regularly updating it when new roms are released. It will be much helpful.
As i dont have enough time regularly im not in a position to do that.
It hasn't happened yet for a good reason - there's still a debate about what can be defined as a custom ROM and what can't.
See the first post in the "Android development" section. Passions run high there.
I find it relatively easy to look at the headlines rom XXX v1.2 .
Any list is going to be meaningless unless it had a full and active update of the actual improvements on that version .
Some roms are not going to fit into any pattern particular Kitchen roms with multiple builds.

SGSIII XDA Wiki Page - *Please help*

Hi all,
I was surprised to see that no wiki page for the SIII had been created, so I took it upon myself and created a basic page for the international model.
Coming from the Moto Defy I found the Defy Wiki Page to be a great source of help for anybody new to XDA or that phone as it holds all major information in one place without having to search like crazy within the forums.
I would like to do the same for the SIII as looking for answers in this fast growing forum can be a very daunting task for any newcomers. I would like to invite you all to help maintain the wiki page with any information and links you feel are fitting. Your Forum Login works for the wiki as well, so you can edit and help maintain the page.
Thanks in advance and here is that link again:

i tried several other widgets from market but the same happen does anybody have an idea what happened

I made a landing page here for people to find the correct wiki page for their device, and I've created additional pages for the I747 and the T999, as I'll be working with those devices.
I'm using the unofficial AOKP Rom on my Galaxy SIII since June 19th and it's working great. I'd create a link on the Wiki but, as it's unofficial, I don't know if it's okay... so I'll leave the link here.

Important note to the moderators

I really don't get why there are 2 seperate Android development sub-forums if the mods leave them so unorganized and all threads mixed. That's make it so much harder to find things.
You should either combine them into 1 forum or make sure the right threads are in the right forums.
For example, all the below appear in the "Galaxy S III Android Development" while they supposed to be at the "Galaxy S III ORIGINAL (AOSP/AOKP) Android Development" (there are many more threads need to be shifted)

Most of the above, are kangs, builds of original work. Yes, each of these devs created a ROM, but they are all BASED on some original ROM in the Original dev section.
So while you might be thinking all AOSP ROMs are original, they are not.

If you want to contact a moderator, PM them, opening a thread is a very slow way to get in touch with us.
Read this post on the portal for more information.
If a developer wishes to see their rom moved over, they can contact a moderator to see if it falls within the guidelines.

(wip)(mods) only for sgh-t599n

hello everyone, a few cats at android fourms "aka phandroid' have put our minds together in hopes of building some stock 4.1.2 roms
its really only me and a few other devs doing this. the list will go in order but only with links. as i see no point in copying and repasting everything here.
theses mods are stock 4.1.2 based only and will not work on aosp
this is for sgh-t599n "aka exhibit"
this is the link to the (w.i.p) aosp style rom

why don't open a section for cyanogen??

hello. as most users have stock based modded roms, why don't separe the cyanogen? these roms confuse users with rare problems too...... i hope this solution because this is sometimes a problem
easiest, just to go cm homepage.
i don't need cm... the cm's rom invade the android development note 3, i ask why isn't there the separation
Most users don't use stock based roms many many use CM and without CM their would be a none to poor development scene .
One of the basics is if you don't understand then don't use modded firmware .
i asked for forum organization, and not for say that cm is better or not than stock based.... your answer is not pertinent to my question. goodbye

What? CM "invades" Android development? You can guess who the first team was, to modify Android and present it as a custom ROM in the Android Development section. What's actually invading the Android Development section are all those "Stable, ROCK SOLID,® 100% Stable | BETTARY LAyF ◄◄©" TouchWiz ROM's! Those need a seperate section called "Stock ROM's with community bloatware instead of OEM bloatware claiming to break the barriers of physiks and being faster than light and breaking the first and second law of thermodynamics"... Not all of them of course. Exceptions are there.
Know where you are and why you are here!
