Download the Nexus4 Toolkit from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1995688 and the 4.2.2 factory image from here https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/occam-jdq39-factory-345dc199.tgz. Place the downloaded .tar.gz image in the Nexus4 toolkit folder put_google_factory_image here and flash it with the Toolkit (phone in in fastboot mode), option 9 i believe in the menu.
hello for the past hour Ive been searching how to update from my custom 4.1.1 to asus 4.2.
everytime I try to install with twrp it fail. I saw alot of post saying flash with odin but I cant find odin.
Can I simply do a full wipe with twrp 2.2 and install 4.2 via my pc ? ( or it will brick it ? )
thanks for your help

You could give this thread a thorough read, mate: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2195883
It worked for me, only the other way round: I downgraded from 4.2.1 to 4.1.1.
Hello everyone !
I have the find 5 for several times and I ever try to flash a ROM. So I rooted my device and installed TWRP recovery.
But I think I've generated a problem. Now I can't flash anything. I've try several times to update with OTA and it failed everytimes.
The error line was that md5 cound't find...
I think it was a problem of twrp so I installed CWM and it failed again. No md5 was specified but i had a similar error.
Anybody have an idea ?
PS : I'd never use the faux kernel.

OTA doesn't well with a rooted phone. Please download the full firmware and flash it via recovery.

Hi,
when i arrived to the step when i need to install the rom (zip file) , in recovery got error which says:
this package is for "t03g,n7100,gt-n7100" devices this is t0lte.
i know for sure that my device is n7100.
can you help me please?
10x.
phliz recovery
could it be because i installed phliz recovery that is for lte mode and i have n7100?
the page that i downloaded from said it works for n7100,n7102,n7105, but in the file name was lte. "t0lte/philz_touch_6.07.9-t0lte.tar.md5", where it says LTE version.
Flashing a recovery explicitly for the n7100 should solve your problem. Assuming that you want use PhilZ, try this one: http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/n7100/philz_touch_6.15.4-n7100.zip
Hi,
Thanks for the reply,
I've tried to flash via zip the appropriate version before you replied (philz_touch_6.07.9 n7100 zip)
And again got a message that the package is for n7100 and mydevice
is t0lte.
Will your link be different?
i took it to the store for checking, and they said that they tried to install stock rom but its not booting... strange.
is this can happen because i installed a wrong recovery and did format /system ?

If you formatted /system, Android won't boot until you flash a new ROM.

I know, but I can't install a new Rom that's the problem,
It says, when I tried install n7100 4.4.2 omni Rom, that this is
A package for n7100 and my device is t0lte, I think
It says that because of the wrong recovery. Again i try to
Install new recovery via zip from the recovery itself and it says
The same error.
I gave my device to the store to check and they tried install
The stock Rom with no success via Odin..
Any help appriciated
Thanks.
Then you have to "force flash" the recovery via PC using Odin, heimdall or flashboot.

Hi,
Can you tell me exactly how to "force flash" via odin?
Step by step?
Btw, if I have omni Rom, zip file, can I use Odin?
Thanks.
In recovery, as you already know, I did format/system.
What the /system do exactly?
Is it because that I flashed recovery for the t0lte version
I get the error? Or because that from the wrong recovery
I did format/system?
I just want to know why I get this error when flashing rom: "this package is for t03g,n7100,gt -n7100 devices this device is t0lte " when
my device is n7100.
Thanks.
Use Odin/Heimdall to flash an appropriate recovery for your device.
You somehow managed to install a t0lte recovery. You need an N7100 recovery
