[Q] Newbie has a question.

I got my X8 2 days ago. After installing root, xrecovery, and JIt enabled, it seems that I cannot power off the phone when charging. I tried many times. Whenever I power off the phone and chagre, the phone automatic powers on itself.
How can I keep powering off my phone when charging?
Currently I'm using stock FW 2.1.1.A.0.6, not any cook rom.
(sorry for my bad English...)

You can't.

i guess,, power off only work on original firmware, no jit,no root, no mod..
was reflash with original firmwre,, and when turn off,, usb still plug in on PC...
got big icon bateries with flash.. and phone doesn't turn on..
but anyways.. wat the matter with that??

apparently some of the roms have a fix built in but the newest version of 2.3 douse not, I had the same problem so I just backed up all my data and re installed the official version of 2.1 using the Sony Ericsson manager, this worked for me but you need to have a version of 2.1 installed.

its xrecovery..xrecovery that make your phone power on if charging thats from what i know. so if u want to power off while charging,u cant have xrecovery install

change your chargemon file (xrecovery version) with the real version... but u. can't use xrecovery till u change it back

Help-custom rom killed my phone

Hi! I tried to install a new ROM in my i5800 but Odin blocked after one minute and I disonected my phone. When I try to turn my phone on, three icons show up: mobile-usb-computer. The point is, I can't turn my phone on and I don't know what to do. Help please!

did you open odin as administrator?
are you able to get into download mode? (phone is turned off now you hit the power on the menue and the vol - button at the same time and keep them pushed)
if yes then reflash a rom like kyorarom according to the great tutorials we have in xda

What do you mean by odin blocked your phone? If you disconnected halfway thru flashing almost definitely you have hsrdbricked your phone... if you csn get into download mode tthen its ok, only a soft brick

once my flashing process failed too
but i just flashed it again and it worked...
keep trying to get into download mode...

I already disconnected my phone during flash, and after get the black sreen of death, my phone worked

yes i can get in the download mode, i tried flashing it again but it doesen't work, odin didn't block my phone but itself, i didn't run it as administrator because i am the only user on the laptop. can someone please give me the link of the tutorial? thanks!

Are you on windows vista or 7??? If yes then right click on odin and click RUN AS ADMIN...
Odin should open up. Now flash a safe rom like kyorarom or kryllios.

stuck at logo.png download..

when i turn my phone the boot screen appears, and after that it says kernel g3 mode or something like that. after that is just black screen.

Try to reflash but remove SD card and similar card.

Try to install Stock ROM like XWJKP and after install go to recovery and make WIPE data and cache.
Don't forget to run Odin as Admin.

without bootloader...if u will disconect ur phone when flashing stock rom with bootloader....u will hardbrick it for sure..

Yes. Sekhy's rom is safe. By 3minutes odin should display - reset

Download a stock rom from sammobile.com. then open odin as admin, tick one package and select the file you downloaded, if its not tar, unzip it and select csc and choose the csc file and same for phone and pda but do not flash the bootloader. Then put your phone in download mode and make sure odin's box turns yellow. Then click start. After bootup, shut down your phone and go into recovery(hold both vol buttons+ home+power button). Then wipe cache partition and factory reset there. Then reboot.

i can't flash my phone anymore, that's the problem, everytime when i want to flash it nothing happens. the download mode just stays on my screen.

That doesn't make sense. Either u can boot into download mode and flash, or you can't boot into it at all. Pull the batt and try a reflash...

[Q] please help me

my lg gt540 bricked when iam installing new rom via recovery my phone shut down
while doing this after that i tried to turn it on it gives me the white lg logo (android 2.1) and then the red logo and (like android 1.6) still like that if i plug it into pc do the same and if i plug it in the charger do the same i tried hard reset its the same if tried recovery it do the same what i can do is to get into download mod pleae help me

can you get to recovery using power+home button combinations? or can you get into fastboot using power+camera button combinations (blackscreen with backlights on)

i cant get it back to lg support because now i work in egypt while i bought it from uk o2

Try getting into Download Mode and flash using KDZ Updater. That's the last hope

but its very weird how one losses both the modes in a file flash O_O

i will do it so
frist in kdz the phone mode would be diag or cs_emerengcy or other mod then i found roms with fastboot which rom is the best rom to flash then if i flashed this rom i will be finished or i have any thing else to flash or do

Problem in boot of my Huawei ideos x5 Pro

I have an ideos x5 pro, I wipe boot and my smartphone wouldn't startup. :crying:

just put back boot in pink screen

but I don't have a pink screen or anything, and pc don't detect it

Download the froyo image folder from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?b3qkwulqemswxfq (thanks to gkalenis).
Then power off your phone, pull of the battery, insert it again and press volume up, volume down and power button at the same time until you see a pink screen on your phone. Connect it to pc.
Now your pc recognises a new drive with a folder named image.
You have to replace this folder with the one you downloaded before.
Unplug usb, pull off the battery, insert it again and power up your device.

First press vol+,vol- and power button and then connect your device to pc.
What do you mean ''nothing changes''? What do you see when you press all three buttons together?
Install drivers to your pc so it can detect your device.

I had the official rom froyo 2.2.2, I download an official rom (2.3) from the official website, but I can't updating my phone because it stopped in the half of the progress bar with a failed error, I tried many time but the same error, so I search in google and I find that I have to wipe data, wipe system, wipe cash and to wipe boot, and then I restart the operation of updating, but it stop in the same position with the same error, and after that the phone wouldn't startup and it don't respond to any command (power+ volume up and/or down ...) and the pc can't detect it.
I think that the problem is the boot but I can't fix it

Once it happend to me. If it is not booting and there is no huawei logo, you have to change the motherboard. If there is Huawei logo you are luckey enough, do the update without battery. A bad flash vanish my huawei logo. I approch the serivec center, and the motherboard has been replaced. So check once if there is huawei logo on screen and do the same update with dload folder without attery

Ok, that's good explanation.
You brick your phone.
As you cannot see huawei's flower or anything then you brick it.
Go to service , you don't have any other option right now.
And please after you get back your phone, DO NOT DO ANYTHING, before ask first.
You follow a completely wrong procedure, so when you get your phone back from service, everyone in this forum can help you on anything you want to do, but now you cannot do anything, sorry ...

Jtag officially supports our phone though..if u have knowledge you can do it but if u dont..u will destroy it more

My Grand 2 doesn't boot any more

Hi,
I bought grand 2 a few days. after root it by cf-root and install all my apps, I notices that is its sound very low.
So I tried to flash a stock rom by odin.
after success of flashing, it doesn't power on or boot any more. ( normal , recovery or download mode ).
when I connect it via USB it vibrate same times and doesn't power on also. And PC doesn't see it.
please help me.
what can I do now?

Maybe odin flashing is failed?

if you are able to use recovery from recovery wipe chache and factory reset your phone
if it didnt work for you again flash stock official ROM using odin
