now i'm very satisfied with Android, and want to install a new build of wp7 without toutching Android ! how to do? if i install wp i think i will damage android partition in my SD card plz help

That is correct, if you reinstall WPH it will (re)format your SD card and so erase the Android partition.
But some guys here will surely provide the anwser to that problem.

Should be easy, in theory at least.
1. Use a disk imaging software to make an image of the entire partition you use for Android and save that image on your computer.
2. It'll perhaps be a good idea now to delete the Android partition or better yet, delete both WP7 and Android partitions altogether and make just one FAT32 partition spanning the entire card. This might not be necessary but it'll give the next step a stock, empty, Fat32 formatted SD card to begin with.
3. Install the new WP7 build.
4. Go through the entire process of setting up the partitioning for dual-booting the way you did it in the first place with your previous setup.
5. Once you have the Android partition resized and formatted...simply write the disk image saved from step 1 to it using your favorite disk imaging software.
Please note that I have NOT tried this out and can't confirm if it'll work but in theory, it should. Also, if you keep the partitions exactly of the same size that you had in the first place with your original dual-boot setup, it'll *probably* increase the chances of it working in the end.
Hope it helps. =)
I agree with HQRaja.
I would simply create a folder on your Desktop and call it Android Partition Backup, or something simular. Insert the memory card and only the Fat32 partition will be visable in Windows so select everything and move it to the newly created folder on your Desktop. Install Sd Formatter from here. Once launched click on options, Format Type as Full Erase, Format Size Adjustment as On then OK. This will format not only your fat32 partition but remove all partitions as well. Then install the new WP7 Rom, Dual Boot as before and then copy everything from your backup folder back onto your card.
If you feel you dont have enough room for music, apk's or want to try mulitple Android Roms while still using WP7, the keep an eye out for my new tutorial where you can have say over 11gb for Adroid and over 3gb for WP7. It is written out but will read it through more tomorrow to make sure it is ok before uploading. I would do it tonight except my Mrs is nagging and I have been summond .
Hope this helps.
I have been searching for a solution where I can increase/allocate 75% space in sd card for android use and the remaining for w7. I heavily used android because of more games and applications. I am using w7 just for show
Hello,
I downloaded imilka_HD_RAM_v1.zip.
I parted my SD card (8gb) in Partities,
FAT32 6.5 GB
EXT/3 1 GB
Copied the zip file to the SD card,
Flashed it with USB flasher and run DAF.exe
AD recovery -> instal zip from sd -> choose zip -> STrockdram1.zip (the zip on the SD card)
This part is going ok.
Then reboot system now,
And then it starts up, white screen, but it keeps showing the white screen, then black, then white, then black..
What's my fault???
Thank you very much for help!

This method i found on xda
Simply download the AndroidWindowsBoot.zip file from the link given at the end of this guide and extract the included AndroidWindowsBoot.cab file to your computer. Connect your phone to your computer via USB and transfer the CAB file anywhere on your device.
To install Android Windows Boot, your phone must be booted into Windows Mobile. On your phone, run ‘File Explorer’ from the start menu and navigate to the location where you saved the cab file. Simply tap on it to install, and you are done. Now when you reboot your device, it will ask you at startup whether you want to boot into Android or Windows Mobile.
By default, the application will boot into Android after 5 seconds if the user does not make a choice within that time. Those who find this delay inconvenient can change it by editing the “\Program Files\Android Windows Boot\Delay.txt” file.
In case you do not have Android installed on your device, the option to boot into Android will be disabled, so you can even choose to install Android after installing this application.
Android Windows Boot has been tested to work on HTC HD2 but may work on other phones running Windows Mobile as well. It will NOT work on Windows Phone 7.
Download AndroidWindowsBoot.zip
Thanks for you reaction.
But which version of Android is this?
And i already had the Desire version on my phone, but I'd love to have the Desire HD version.
So my phone isn't running on Windows Mobile anymore, it's only running on the MAGLDR menu right now.
All the steps i needed to do, i did. But it's still not working.
Is it possible that my phone isn't able to get that rom on it?
it could be a ruind file... try to download it again or try another ROM

Btw, i have the Desire rom on my phone now, so i can't boot from Windows Mobile.
I'm trying to install the new Imilka ROM, v2.0.
This are the steps i took:
AD Recovery -> mount and storage -> format sdcard, formad sdcard-ex etc.)
USB flasher -> USB... USB -> I runned the DAF.exe (recovery 130mb) as admin, else i got 2 errors (bootloader missed and USB).
Then i copied the v2.0 zip file to the phone with USBmass Storage
AD recovery, install zip from sd -> choose -> and i installed that zip.
Reboot now.
And i got the white HTC screen, then the black with green HTC logo, and now again the white HTC screen, and that white screen is reloading itself (black, white, black white etc.)
What i'm doing whrong?
I really hope anyone can help me.
Hi,
Have you gone into CWM >AD recovery> and wiped data, dalvik and cache partition?
The idea of wiping data ,cache partition and dalvik is to clear out all the old bits of data etc. from previous ROMS and therefore starting again with a clean slate.
Do these things then run DAF and try installing your new ROM...

From WM to HSPL4 to Radio to MAGLDR -> Ad recovery, it says: no bout sources.
Edit: Got now the normal Desire rom on it, and ill try it now from the MAGLDR menu.
Edit2: Did all, and still stucked on the white HTC screen what is reloading itself.
First im going to format and whipe everything.
And also doesn't work.
I still stuck on the white HTC screen, what am i doing whrong?!
why do i keep getting the foreclose message?
iiadore
for god sake, wtf you do in the middle of this discussion with your "guess what" question????

hold on , im going to check imilkas thread.
get back to you.
ok - first of all - you have to go back to that thread and you will find that people are talking about white screen problem.
Using the Magldr Mass Storage function can cause corrupted data, Put it on you sd card using a card reader.
(Sorry if someone already said this, couldn't find this)
It could be a wrong partition size of CWM. How long does it stay on the HTC logo, it can stay there for a while when booting first time.
It stays more then 1 hour, and that's way to much i think.
But the white screen is reloading itself.
Sometimes i stuck on the black screen with the green HTC logo, but that also stays more then 1 hour.
What do you mean with Magldr Mass Storage funcion? You mean i need to copy the .zip file to my sd card (with the card reader in my laptop), and don't use the Mass Storage function in the MAGLDR Menu?
And a wrong partiton size of CWM, when i use the option Create Partities SD Card (256mb and Swap 0mb)
Then the .zip file is removed from the SD card.
So what can i try to do?

Yes, copy the zip file to SD card using a card reader, and not via magldr.

Partition size as in CWM File layout (150/250/350 mb).
What you can try to do is, prior to putting the .zip on your sd card, Totally wiping your sd card (also the remaining SD-Ext partition) This will cause you to lose all your data, so backup before doing this.
After the Format, remake the partitions on the SD card to your liking (Fat32 and Ext for App2SD+) (guides can be found on this forum.)
And then try again.

well. copy the zip AFTER you wipe the cache.
hey guys,
i am new to this thing but i have read alot of forums and discussions. i was trying to install the android with nand method but each and every rom that i have downloaded from NAND area has three folders in it
Boot
meta-inf
system.
and the instructions are to copy the zip file on sd card. i am quite confused that why do i need the sd card method when i am using the nand method. ?
after searching alot i have just found on thread which gives me the option of installing the rom using DAF.exe
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893620=android+2.3
but this is an old rom.
pleaseee hellppppppp
To flash a Android ROM using the .zip file you have to have Clockwork Mod Recovery flashed to your HD2. You place the zip file on the root of your SD card and then use CWM to find the file and flash it. Click on my guide linked in my sig. I have full instructions on how to flash CWM and links to download CWM. I also give a full break down of what each thing in CWM does so you should have no trouble as long as you read.
brother how do i copy the zip file to the sd card ?????????
Do you have MAGLDR and proper Clockwordmod Recovery installed on your HD2?
If yes: turn on your device and hold END key for few seconds so you see MAGLDR menu. Then choose 8. AD Recovery with vol down key and confirm with CALL key. In recovery menu choose Mounts and Storage (again with volume keys and confirm with CALL key), and at the end choose mount usb storage. Remeber to connect phone with PC by USB cable first.
Then you should see new portable drive in your Computer window on your PC. Just copy/paste a .zip file (don't unpack it!) like you copy/paste other files between folders.
thanks for reply
yes brother i do have MAGLDR and i have tried doing the steps that you have mentioned but my computer doesnot detect any usb device
the only device that is detected is the internal memory of the phone
Are you sure it's internal phone memory? I don't think user have access to such things. I think that this is your sd card. May I ask you what files/folders do you see when you open this internal memory?
Other way is to use external card reader.
i dont know what it was but it was showing me that there is only 190 mb of storage space. and my card is of two gb and there is no file in it. anyways. i have used the card reader now. thanks for your help
Hm... just a thought. Have you ever used WP7? Cause it creates 200 mb FAT32 partition and if you don't format your card after flashing other OS you still have access to only 200 mb partition.
And if you want to thank, there is a nice button called "thanks" after each post .
yes i was using WP7 before. formatting the card would delete the partition right ?
WP7 is the most suckiest OS MS could ever think of BTW. there is LITERALLY nothing to do or play with.
Hah, bullseye .
I don't know if Android would handle this weird partition created by WP7, but give it a try and format it by using Android. Windows XP/Vista/7 can't format it properly (there are tools for that ofc but that's for experienced users).
I'm 100% sure that Windows Mobile 6.5 formats sd card the way it should be, I mean it properly detects and deletes WP7 partition. But it would be big trouble to go back to WM, then again flash MAGLDR, CWM and yout build .
Little off topic, WP7 is nice OS IMO, but too closed. It's fluid and Metro interface is great, but that's it. It sucks in 3rd party apps as much as WM 6.5, if not more beacuse of closed environment. But that's a different story for different thread .
I have a problem.
HD2 returned from the service, so i have to install Android. I decided this time NDT Miui, although it does not matter. So I install HSPL4, Radio + Task29 and MagLDR 1.13.
Next - install recovery - well I decided to install the latest 5.0.26 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=987531), so I downloaded from this topic (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898913) recovery and substituted recovery-raw.img this new. Recovery run
1.Before install rom I wipe data / cache and Dalvik.
2. I wanted to make SD-EXT partitions so I choose partitioning EXT 1024MB and swap 0MB.
3. Unfortunately partitioning process stood(stopped) 10 minutes, so I took out battery, and put and restart phone.
4.I was not sure what happened with card, so I formatted SD in Win7
5.In recovery partitionning this time doing good and it displayed "Done".
==== Problem ====
6.Unfortunately when I doing wipe data I get this message:
App2SD No partition found. Skipping the format of / sd-ext.
Likewise, when you try to mount:
Can not mount / sdcard /
7. Therefore of course it is not possible to install rom, because I get, the message that it can't mount the card.
=========================
==== Attempts solution ====
8 Formatting (quick and full) in Win7, and program - SDFormatter.
9 GParted run from the disc and remove the partition and create EXT3 and FAT32.
10 Inserting the card for Nokia and format it.
11 Finding another card (128MB) but recovery display the same problems.
12 The cards are normally visible in Windows or Nokia.
13 When I put the card and I doing wipe data as in step 6 I get this the message and then after removing card and inserting to reader, Windows calls that you need to format the card, because it can't open SD.
14 In an analogous situation to the point 13, but I doing in recovery sd partitionning, I does not have a problem in Windows (Windows see partition in Fat32, which is reduced by roughly the size set to EXT).
15 Install old recovery 3.0.0.5 - the same problems
As for the 1-3 point I do not know whether it is important. I'm not too sure if the first time when I did wipe data (before this wrong partitioning - a point 2-3) whether it was ok or not - but unfortunately when I did not pay attention and I'm not sure.
Any ideas?
Try re-flashing CWM with this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783&highlight=nand+toolkit
and then see if it sees your sd card.
I tried create partition by Mini Tool Partition too - unsuccesfull.
So, I tried return to WM6.5 stock. Copy LEOIMG.nbh to SDCard and I run Bootloader Mode (Vol- + Power) and nothing... It display Serial, but if I plug USB cable, it display USB. So, I install WM6.5 by RUU.exe from htc.com. OK, it installed WM.
In WM, phone can't see (detected) SD Card too? Are You think that I broke SDCard-reader in HD2?
Yep, sounds like a hardware problem at this point, as the likelihood of WM, Android, and CWM all having the same problem at the same time due to software/firmware issues is astronomically slim.
Looks like it's time to start looking for a reliable, decent-priced repair shop. Sorry for your bad luck.
Heh, Just like the ICS release... ;/
I tried with 4 different cards and nothing.
Strange that in a moment and read the card as soon as I changed even two others, this also read them.
Unfortunately, I wanted to copy something already on the card and then HD2 did not read anything again, so probably a hardware issue.
Hello Great minds here,
Device HTC HD 2 / 16 GB (Transcend SD Class4) with two partitions 7.4 for Win and balance loaded with ICS at root.
I installed windows 7.5 SP 1 Mango (Yuki) working great - Tons and loads of thanks to Yuki (team).
I installed ICS Beta 7 Build 14 working great with almost all features looked in so far. thanks and applaud to Ankuch. Many thanks for such work. Installed as per the tutorials for dual boot. However, I face the following issues:
1. In settings option of ICS total internal storage reported only .96 GB. On using ES Explorer error reported no SD card mounted. SD card formatted with , FAT 32 as primary partition , unused 6.17 GB. For win it is logical partition.
2. At no point of time did I run Haret.exe or ClrCad.
3. Reports no USB storage, this is as advised by ROM Chef.
4. Is there any application which gives an option to boot into ICS or WIN as startup. Tried exceller Boot loader but the thread notified that it is for adndroid / ubuntu, so did not load. Pls advise if there is any application.
5. If I boot into win 7.5 and then switch off to boot into ICS, the booting fails. Reason I noticed that win 7.5 locks the SD. Then reboot into win 7.5, unlock the SD and then boot into ICS thru Magldr. Kindly advise whether this is correct or I have done some installation error.
Thank you in advance for the amazing knowledge and ideas you people.
Thanks a ton.

Yes the partition is set to Primary for FAT 32 and for windows it is logical.
could there be an issue that since ICS is loaded on the SD, Sd is not recognised. On starting file explorer it reports SD not mounted.
Got boot loader called excellor boot loader but is for windows 6.5. Unable to locate one for windows 7.5
Yes can boot in from Magdlr.

Saw the video today. No I don't think I did everything correct.

Ok now the first problem crops up. I haveof one partition flashed SP1 of Windows 7.5 (Yuki Rom). Then reset the phone as shown in the video, however, when I check the memory card in the manner suggested in the EASEAUS Partition Manager the SD reads only 14.73 GB of only one partition there is no 200 MB FAT 16 partition. Tried doing resetting many times but the same prob.
Re installed everything but the problem remains the same. On starting ES File Explorer " SD crd not mounted or not present".....Kindly HELP
Hi,
I have an identical setup as you and coincidentally had the same problem as you.
I referred to this video tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944288 and am now happily running Tango (Yup!!) on NAND and different versions of Android on SD.
Try it out and let me know if it works for you.
