Hello,
I downloaded imilka_HD_RAM_v1.zip.
I parted my SD card (8gb) in Partities,
FAT32 6.5 GB
EXT/3 1 GB
Copied the zip file to the SD card,
Flashed it with USB flasher and run DAF.exe
AD recovery -> instal zip from sd -> choose zip -> STrockdram1.zip (the zip on the SD card)
This part is going ok.
Then reboot system now,
And then it starts up, white screen, but it keeps showing the white screen, then black, then white, then black..
What's my fault???
Thank you very much for help!

This method i found on xda
Simply download the AndroidWindowsBoot.zip file from the link given at the end of this guide and extract the included AndroidWindowsBoot.cab file to your computer. Connect your phone to your computer via USB and transfer the CAB file anywhere on your device.
To install Android Windows Boot, your phone must be booted into Windows Mobile. On your phone, run ‘File Explorer’ from the start menu and navigate to the location where you saved the cab file. Simply tap on it to install, and you are done. Now when you reboot your device, it will ask you at startup whether you want to boot into Android or Windows Mobile.
By default, the application will boot into Android after 5 seconds if the user does not make a choice within that time. Those who find this delay inconvenient can change it by editing the “\Program Files\Android Windows Boot\Delay.txt” file.
In case you do not have Android installed on your device, the option to boot into Android will be disabled, so you can even choose to install Android after installing this application.
Android Windows Boot has been tested to work on HTC HD2 but may work on other phones running Windows Mobile as well. It will NOT work on Windows Phone 7.
Download AndroidWindowsBoot.zip
Thanks for you reaction.
But which version of Android is this?
And i already had the Desire version on my phone, but I'd love to have the Desire HD version.
So my phone isn't running on Windows Mobile anymore, it's only running on the MAGLDR menu right now.
All the steps i needed to do, i did. But it's still not working.
Is it possible that my phone isn't able to get that rom on it?
it could be a ruind file... try to download it again or try another ROM

Btw, i have the Desire rom on my phone now, so i can't boot from Windows Mobile.
I'm trying to install the new Imilka ROM, v2.0.
This are the steps i took:
AD Recovery -> mount and storage -> format sdcard, formad sdcard-ex etc.)
USB flasher -> USB... USB -> I runned the DAF.exe (recovery 130mb) as admin, else i got 2 errors (bootloader missed and USB).
Then i copied the v2.0 zip file to the phone with USBmass Storage
AD recovery, install zip from sd -> choose -> and i installed that zip.
Reboot now.
And i got the white HTC screen, then the black with green HTC logo, and now again the white HTC screen, and that white screen is reloading itself (black, white, black white etc.)
What i'm doing whrong?
I really hope anyone can help me.
Hi,
Have you gone into CWM >AD recovery> and wiped data, dalvik and cache partition?
The idea of wiping data ,cache partition and dalvik is to clear out all the old bits of data etc. from previous ROMS and therefore starting again with a clean slate.
Do these things then run DAF and try installing your new ROM...

From WM to HSPL4 to Radio to MAGLDR -> Ad recovery, it says: no bout sources.
Edit: Got now the normal Desire rom on it, and ill try it now from the MAGLDR menu.
Edit2: Did all, and still stucked on the white HTC screen what is reloading itself.
First im going to format and whipe everything.
And also doesn't work.
I still stuck on the white HTC screen, what am i doing whrong?!
why do i keep getting the foreclose message?
iiadore
for god sake, wtf you do in the middle of this discussion with your "guess what" question????

hold on , im going to check imilkas thread.
get back to you.
ok - first of all - you have to go back to that thread and you will find that people are talking about white screen problem.
Using the Magldr Mass Storage function can cause corrupted data, Put it on you sd card using a card reader.
(Sorry if someone already said this, couldn't find this)
It could be a wrong partition size of CWM. How long does it stay on the HTC logo, it can stay there for a while when booting first time.
It stays more then 1 hour, and that's way to much i think.
But the white screen is reloading itself.
Sometimes i stuck on the black screen with the green HTC logo, but that also stays more then 1 hour.
What do you mean with Magldr Mass Storage funcion? You mean i need to copy the .zip file to my sd card (with the card reader in my laptop), and don't use the Mass Storage function in the MAGLDR Menu?
And a wrong partiton size of CWM, when i use the option Create Partities SD Card (256mb and Swap 0mb)
Then the .zip file is removed from the SD card.
So what can i try to do?

Yes, copy the zip file to SD card using a card reader, and not via magldr.

Partition size as in CWM File layout (150/250/350 mb).
What you can try to do is, prior to putting the .zip on your sd card, Totally wiping your sd card (also the remaining SD-Ext partition) This will cause you to lose all your data, so backup before doing this.
After the Format, remake the partitions on the SD card to your liking (Fat32 and Ext for App2SD+) (guides can be found on this forum.)
And then try again.

Same here. Maybe its something to do with UK Hd2's.
I followed all the instructions too, and kept getting stuck in the boot screen loop.
Back to Nand for me... one thing, on screen before screen to flash zip it says can't find misc, even when I make a misc folder it makes no difference. Good luck to you anyway.

Can you tell us what you're doing and what happens?
i Copy contents of copytosdroot folder to the root of my sd.then i boot into magldr and go into USB Flasher whilst still connected to my laptop,Run DAF,when thats done i again boot into magldr and tap Boot AD SD but it keep failing to go into Clockwork,i keep getting soming like k:Music/zimage not found or failed to load kernal even tho ive fully formated my sd,its really anoying,i cant try out any new roms exept nand,Really frustrating
I had problems running like this initially - what worked was putting the 'copytosd' files in a folder on the SD Card (I used 'ADSD'), then changing the Boot AD SD folder option in the Settings menu to that new folder ('ADSD').
Then try using 'Boot AD SD' option.
For some reason it did not like the root folder initially (though it now seems to work fine).
Use Panasonic SD Card formatter & re format the SD card & try again, I had the same issues but now its resolved..!!!

Guys,
Mine works as well so not a UK issue
Did you follow the instructions using DAF and indicated that it was successful but when you try to 1: boot from sd nothing happens or it flashes and returns to the MAGLDR screen?
I had an issue with the root folder as well, create a folder \recovery and copy the 2 root files intrid.gz and zimage to the \recovery and goto services and change the boot to folder to \recovery.
Important reboot before trying as MAGLDR does not change the folder until after a reboot.
Boot from SD and should be OK
Or at least was for me
Now Nand has came out it has inspired a lot to create their own Android builds and new chefs make mistakes. Not trying to blame chefs in general but some do make mistakes.
Also when we used to load up the builds from SD card, I would say 8 times out of 10 I would use a data.img which hasnt been used before. Now if you go from a Sense build to a non-Sense build, and you are using a data.img in app2sd, then they are not properly matched so a-b might go to a-c and miss b out if you know what I mean. What I do is use a data.img for Sense, another for Sense HD/Z, another one for Gingerbread and another for Miui and these are on my Desktop. When I load up a different builds like Sense to Miui, then I will move the data.img from .data or data2sd folder off the memory card and then overwrite the data.img I have on the Desktop for Sense and replace it for my Miui data.img.
I know it sounds tedious but I found it to help.
Also for the new App2SD+, I create the partition using ClockWorkMod instead of another application. I will use Partition Wizard for Windows to delete a partition and resize the fat32 partition back to the full use of the memory card but always partition and create EXT3 partition using ClockWorkMod.
Hope this helps.

Well there's lots of good roms out there... they are all very easy to flash back and forth from. I hate to say which one is "better" than another as that is purely subjective and everyone has a differing opinion. However, it seems a lot of people really like Sergios, MDJ's and CMYXLGO's ROMs. As a start you may want to check out one of those... Here is a link to the main Android NAND forum.
I have
•HSPL3 ~ SPL-2.08.HSPL
•Radio that support 576 RAM
•DFT MAGLDR Bootloader
•ClockworkMod Recovery
Installed.
Can you send a link to a rom that supports clockwork? i dont realy care witch one just one that works. am e newbie in this just got the phone yesterday, and now i kinda afraid i cant fix it :/ :/

If it turns on and will boot to the bootloader, it's fixable So don't worry that much! Try out Sergio's ROM. It supports CWM. If you do use that one be sure to back up your SD card as you have to repartition it.
The steps to install it are:
Code:
HD2 COREDROID Desire HD V1
1. Extract downloaded zip to a folder of your choice
2. Copy contents of copy_to_sd_root (initrd.gz and zImage) to the root of your sd card
3. Boot into magldr and select USB Flasher option while phone is connected to PC
4. Run DAF.exe included in the zip and follow onscreen instructions.
5. After complete devise will reboot in magldr chose "Boot AD SD" option
6. Device will boot into Clockwork Recovery
7. Select advanced
8. Select Partition SD card (remember too backup all valuable data you have on SD Card)
9. Selet (minimum 512M)(maximum 1024M) Chose what fits best for you Recomended size 1024M
10.Select Swap 0M
11.Wait for the process too finish (do not restart device stay in ClockWork recovery)
12.Connect the Device into USB
13.select mounts and storage
14.select mount USB storage
15.Copy contents of copy_to_sd_root (initrd.gz, zImage) to the root of your sd card
16.Copy CoreDroid_HD_HD2_v*.zip to the root of your sd card
17.Press back key after finish
18.Press back key once more
19.Select install zip from sdcard
20.Select choose zip from sdcard
21.Select CoreDroid_HD_HD2_v* file and then confirm
22.Wait for it too finish
23.After flash options pop up again Press back Key
24.select reboot system now
25.Let it boot wait about +-10Min Enjoy
I haven't really examined the guide you followed that much, but make sure you have installed a recent version of Magldr (i.e. the one you can download in the official Magldr thread in the WinMo subforum, version 1.11 to be precise). The first version(s) have been notorious for the Gogogo! bug persistently affecting some users.
Just a fyi, ignore this if you already have this v1.11
I got the aMagldr V1.11
The rom you sendt me doesnt work, it stopps here:
Run DAF.exe included in the zip and follow onscreen instructions.

No, because it's not really an installer, but a flasher. I'm not really an expert on the CWM issues, but it seems to me like formatting your SD card(do a full format, not the quick one) might help you, since it's quite probably your SD card being the *****.
It may not help you, but if you've got a few minutes I'd say give it a shot. Don't forget to backup important SD (NAND isn't affected) first of course!
Oh, and there's also this small chance that your CWM download is corrupt. Not sure if that would give the gogogo error though.
Sorry for being a complete newb, but how do i do the hard format?
but do i need the DAF.exe to install the rom?
You'd have to format in Windows (which I assume is the OS you're running), which now that I think of it may be a bit of a problem. I don't think you can mount your SD card with Magldr, which means that you'd have to use an external card reader. If you don't have that, you'd have to reflash WinMo to format, but since that's quite some more work for something that I can't even guarantee to be a solution you might wanna hold on to other suggestions.
DAF.exe is the tool which flashes CWM to your phone. Some other tools and/or ROMS use the same name for their flasher though.
after this one :
8. Select Partition SD card (remember too backup all valuable data you have on SD Card)
9. Selet (minimum 512M)(maximum 1024M) Chose what fits best for you Recomended size 1024M
10.Select Swap 0M
i can't do **** i cant open the device in windows. is there no way i can just system recover the whole device? or do i have to rom it?..
realy need this to be working, prefer android but windows is okey

It sure is no brick, as long as you can boot into bootloader (turn on phone while keeping volume down pressed) there's no problem at all. No need to return it either.
If you feel really desperate try the WinMo thing, you've got nothing to lose except for about 30 minutes of your time.
winmo thing? is there any guide?
if i download a format program i can format the sd card..
1. Flash WinMo, this should be no problem in bootloader
2. I think it's possible to format your SD card within WinMo. I've never used WinMo actually so I can't give instructions on that.
If you can't find it or if it isn't possible, mount your SD card so you can see it in Windows. Backup data if necessary. Then right click on it (in Windows), and choose format, then disable quick format which should be selected by default. After the format you should have a clean SD card.
4. Flash Magldr again, following instructions in the official Magldr thread. Download a new copy off xda, to eliminate the possibity of just having had a corrupt download.
6. Flash CWM, following instructions in the official CWM thread.
7. Flash ROM.
Edit: I used WinMo where I meant the mobile OS, and Windows where I meant the pc OS.
I did format the SD card, nothing new just that CWM disapeard.
Now its loading with aMagldr v1.11
And i Have Spl-2.08. Hspl 8g Xe
Can anyone send me a link to a good Win 6.5 rom and anykind of guide?
hey guys,
i am new to this thing but i have read alot of forums and discussions. i was trying to install the android with nand method but each and every rom that i have downloaded from NAND area has three folders in it
Boot

system.
and the instructions are to copy the zip file on sd card. i am quite confused that why do i need the sd card method when i am using the nand method. ?
after searching alot i have just found on thread which gives me the option of installing the rom using DAF.exe
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893620=android+2.3
but this is an old rom.
pleaseee hellppppppp
To flash a Android ROM using the .zip file you have to have Clockwork Mod Recovery flashed to your HD2. You place the zip file on the root of your SD card and then use CWM to find the file and flash it. Click on my guide linked in my sig. I have full instructions on how to flash CWM and links to download CWM. I also give a full break down of what each thing in CWM does so you should have no trouble as long as you read.
brother how do i copy the zip file to the sd card ?????????
Do you have MAGLDR and proper Clockwordmod Recovery installed on your HD2?
If yes: turn on your device and hold END key for few seconds so you see MAGLDR menu. Then choose 8. AD Recovery with vol down key and confirm with CALL key. In recovery menu choose Mounts and Storage (again with volume keys and confirm with CALL key), and at the end choose mount usb storage. Remeber to connect phone with PC by USB cable first.
Then you should see new portable drive in your Computer window on your PC. Just copy/paste a .zip file (don't unpack it!) like you copy/paste other files between folders.
thanks for reply
yes brother i do have MAGLDR and i have tried doing the steps that you have mentioned but my computer doesnot detect any usb device
the only device that is detected is the internal memory of the phone
Are you sure it's internal phone memory? I don't think user have access to such things. I think that this is your sd card. May I ask you what files/folders do you see when you open this internal memory?
Other way is to use external card reader.
i dont know what it was but it was showing me that there is only 190 mb of storage space. and my card is of two gb and there is no file in it. anyways. i have used the card reader now. thanks for your help
Hm... just a thought. Have you ever used WP7? Cause it creates 200 mb FAT32 partition and if you don't format your card after flashing other OS you still have access to only 200 mb partition.
And if you want to thank, there is a nice button called "thanks" after each post .
yes i was using WP7 before. formatting the card would delete the partition right ?
WP7 is the most suckiest OS MS could ever think of BTW. there is LITERALLY nothing to do or play with.
Hah, bullseye .
I don't know if Android would handle this weird partition created by WP7, but give it a try and format it by using Android. Windows XP/Vista/7 can't format it properly (there are tools for that ofc but that's for experienced users).
I'm 100% sure that Windows Mobile 6.5 formats sd card the way it should be, I mean it properly detects and deletes WP7 partition. But it would be big trouble to go back to WM, then again flash MAGLDR, CWM and yout build .
Little off topic, WP7 is nice OS IMO, but too closed. It's fluid and Metro interface is great, but that's it. It sucks in 3rd party apps as much as WM 6.5, if not more beacuse of closed environment. But that's a different story for different thread .
Now that the ever resourceful Yuki/xboxmod have availed to us the Sd Unlocker Cab making it possible to dual boot the Mango RTM and Android, could somebody please take us through the step by step guide about enabling this. These files change the size and format of the SDcard extrapartition
This partition is used as working part for updates and to save logs
It is usually formated as FAT16 and sized of 200MB
So choose the file which the number of GB you want, send the cab to device and Reset
The first partition will have the new size now and already formated in FAT32
So you can use it as USB key or for Androïd without having to do it manually
Take care if you reset again datas on it will be lost
If you want to revert back to FAT16, 200MB just use DEV_EXTRAPART_REMOVE and reset
This feature is to be used beside DEV_STORAGELOCK.cab
With this tool you can unlock your SDcard
The card will be relocked after each reboot to WP7 what is a security in case of stolen device
So use the tool each time you want to boot to Androïd or use SDcard as USB key.

After installing the EXTRAPART cab (of whatever GB u want) u must go to settings, about , and RESET wp7. After the reset is complete the partition should already exist.
When you want to use android, go to the applications list, storage lock, and unlock the sd card if it is not already unlocked. Restart your HD2 and boot into android. If u want to go back to wp7 just restart your phone again.
Remember that if u boot into wp7 after android again, u must unlock your sd card using the storage lock app again, before booting into android for it to work...

1. install the DEV_STORAGELOCK.cab, install the partion DEV_EXTRAPART_xxxG.cab, reset the phone
2. go in Start, Storage Lock: "... Do you want to unlock it?" press yes
3. power off WP7
4. Boot AD SD
when you go back in WP7 you have to repeat step 2 (not necessary to reinstall DEV_STORAGELOCK.cab)

On the first post of the ACA thread it says "Includes optional rootfs.img that allows to boot build from magldr (!readme! in /sdcard/Android/SDMAGLDR)"
Follow instructions in the readme.
Also in Magldr -> 10 services / 1 Bootsettings / 3 AD SD Dir / Android (not Androi~ or anything similar)

You might want to get a card reader, especially for android as there are issues with usb transfer to phone.

Newbie question: Step prior to step 4 above.
I already downloaded my Android files sitting on PC with folder name ../Android.
My question .. How do I copy exactly these Android files to the partinioned folder of my microSD card?
Via Zune or Do I need to remove the sdcard from phone first and insert it in my PC to perform the copy?
I'd appreciate if someone can provide the necessary steps.

Best to remove card and use an external reader. Use partition software like easus or minitool and format the partition to be fat32 (make it primary and 32kb cluster size) then you can just copy/paste it right from explorer.
This is all under the impression that you can see the card in windows. If you cannot, it means you didn't run the StorageLock cab in WP7 before you rebooted.
Thanks for your little guide [email protected]

Thank you! I just used the sd adapter, insert to pc and copy the android files with no issues. I thought it was hard initially but everything went fine. Dual boot mango and android is perfectly working .
so after mango is installed - I presume the sd card will be locked right?
if i install DEV_STORAGELOCK.cab this should unlock it but if install the partion DEV_EXTRAPART_xxxG.cab do i still need to use easeus and mini tool to partition the sd card?
sorry for noob like questions

When your XBmod/Yuki WP7 Mango 7720 is now running successfully, you have now the option to do a dual boot with Android following the steps below.
1. Send the DEV_STORAGELOCK.cab via the sender tool. I am not sure if necessary but I think I’d rebooted my phone first after the install of the storagelock.
2. After the reboot you’ll see 'StorageLock' tile in home, click it and click yes to unlock first the sd card.
3. Once unlocked, send the DEV_EXTRAPART_xxxG.cab next
4. Once done you need to reset the phone via settings>about. I repeat reset and not just reboot for the partition to take effect. You don't need to use easeus and mini tool, the DEV_EXTRAPART_xxxG.cab will partition the card for you as well as format it to FAT32. Special thanks for XBMod/Yuki for that.
5. After the reset, you can go to 'settings>about>more info' just to verify the WP7 total and available storage space has been reduced.
6. Once verified, click the 'StorageLock' tile again, to unlock the card again. Everytime you do a reboot the sd card will be locked automatically.
7. Once unlocked, turn off the WP7 as normal.
8. Safely remove your micro sd card from HD2. Insert the card to your SD card adapter and then insert to your PC. Your PC should recognize the card. This is the method I used.
9. Copy the Android files that you extracted to the root of the SD card.
10. Once done, insert it back to your HD2 and you're set to boot the phone to Android via MAGLDR.
Note: Before you proceed to boot Android the first time, you need to follow the guide on where you extracted the Android files on what else to be done/MAGLDR settings etc. My first attempt was not successful due to some missing files required by MAGLDR but after few readings here and there, I finally made it through. I guess on the 4th attempt.
Good luck
Hi,
I am trying to install this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1326217
I recently bought a new sd card from 1 gb to 16 gb as I like Sense roms.
My procedure is as follows:
step1) task 29:
turn off phone
turn on holding volume down-so you'll go to bootloader screen
be sure you see 'usb' in screen (not 'serial')
in nand toolkit click task29 and choose proper options in each screen.
step2) flashing radio:
in phone go to bootloader screen again
in nand toolkit at bottom click browse an find your radio.nbh in pc then click install RUU(when it comes to 96% it will wait for a while its normal)
step3) flashing mgldr:
in phone go to bootloader screen
in toolkit click install mgldr(at bottom)
4) now in mgldr go to usb flasher.be sure you see usb flasher.....usb in screen
in nand toolkit choose mgldr repartition (at left top)
choose 400mb partition size(at left)
write 4 instead of 45 as cache size
click repartition at right bottom.so you'll have repartitioned your nand.
5) mgldr menu go to ad recovery-advanced-partition sd card-1024-0
(so you'll have an sd-ext partition of 1gb which is necessary for this and many other roms)
then in mgldr menu (you can go to this menu by rebooting or pulling out battery) go ad recovery-mounts and storage-mount usb storage-when pc sees phone, send rom to phone
6) mgldr menu-ad recovery-install zip from sd-choose zip from sd-find your rom and choose with call button-after installation is complete reboot phone-after approximately 20 minutes the phone will be ready.
Where am I going wrong?
So?

After doing all that, I get a message saying " kernal missing" or something along those lines.
Is the above procedure correct ?
Why dont you try all of your steps mentioned except 2 & 5?? A new radio does not need to be flashed every time. Also the systemshouldcreate its own partion upon boot.

Wait step 5 is wrong. Mass storage within magldr is glitched. You need to use a card writer to put your rom onto your sd card. Sorry i didn'tcatch that at first. Also you still should not have to flash a new radio everytime.

Its something about transferring data, I'm not certain exactly what. I would assume the file isn't transferred right over magldr interface and somehow parts of the rom become not right for lack of better terms. I read once to not transfer files using magldr because 1.13 is glitched. I'm not 100% sure what it is. Just try a card reader and see if that helps. Unless your dual booting I prefer clk .

What exactly does it do turning on? Kernal missing .. does it boot loop, freeze or restart?

Step 5.5 ... in cwm - mounts and storage (or something) - mount SD card - copy over your rom.
This will show your SD on the PC, and unlike the magldr USB storage the cwm one works. No card reader necessary.

I normally just mount and copy it over and that copies it over.
But the problem is after flashing, when magldr starts I get a message in the lines of "Kernel missing" and it stops.
Does my steps differ to anything you would suggest?

Just follow your steps minus the radio flashing as you only have to do this once (which I'm sure you have already done since you have been using custom roms). Then instead of using MAGLDR to transfer the rom, boot into CWR first and then using mounts and storage, transfer it there. It sounds like MAGLDR is corrupting the file transfer (as it usually does).
Just start over with task29 then skip the radio flashing and adjust your steps to transferring the rom over through CWR.
