Installing ROM - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

I have a problem when installing ROMs.
My phone specs (After flash):
Model Number: GT--S5360
Android: 2.3.6
Baseband: s5360DXLF1
Kernel: 2.6.35.7
[email protected] #1
Build No.: GINGERBREAD.DXLF2
At first, I was installing Aurora v2 but "boot.img" missing or something appeared and installation aborted resulting in a bootloop.
So, I flashed my phone with ODIN v1.84 and tried again but this time I can't flash at all. It said "cannot open file*.zip (bad) installation aborted" or something like it.
What should I do!?

First of all your zip packaged has got damaged thats why its showing it. If you want to make that rom work, put any boot.img in it

r unew to flashing roms?? I recommend you to not mess with these things... if u dont know how to put boot.img then go to META-INF folder of the rom and search for 'updater-script'. OPen it and find boot.img written somewhere in it. Delete those lines associated with it.

[Q] update OTA by Odin Mobile Pro

Hello,
I'm on a Note 2 N7100 purchased on Amazon so free of any operator.
I root and everything works fine, I have downloaded OTA update update.zip but she does not want to install CWM 6.0.4.3 my recovery
So I bought Mobile Odin Pro version 4.00
I put the update.zip file recover OTA in my internal sdcard directory
Then I launch Odin and I chose OTA / Update.zip (777 MB) it finds it, then I start by Flash Firmware (start the firmware flash)
I have a message Checking Zip File, and Verifying partition hashes ... Verifying system files then .... 0% --- 0/1171
the progress bar stays like that for hours without moving
I do not know what to do.
I'm reboot and start over, it's always the same.
Is this you could please help me?
Thank you

If you are upgrading to 4.3 it will include the new bootloader and mobile odin can't flash bootloader. I think that is the problem. Either unroot and install the ota as normal or download the latest firmware from Sam mobile and flash with pc odin

ho yes, thank you. But I can flash with Odin Mobile Pro from a rom stock MK8 ?

If you are on 4.1.2 Afaik you can only flash 4.1.2 rom with mobile odin as it won't flash the bootloader for 4.3 rom, but I stand to be corrected

Never dirty flash anything if you don't want to encounter even a tiny problem, and that problem of yours isn't a tiny one anyway. Make full wipe, flash Phronesis, and see.

Installed wrong kernel for my galaxy note 4 ( SM-N916K )

Hiii guys
I just messed up my phone ahahahahahahah ( lol I am going crazy )
I wanted to install a Galaxy Note 7 Porting (?) Rom on my Note 4.
The rom and the kernel I installed is supposed to be only installed on n910c/h.
I cannot find any kernel for this phone..
The problem going on my phone is :
- I tried installing a stock rom back on my phone and it shows up DRK error. ( Its saying DRK is not installed )
- Whenever I charge my phone when its off, I cannot even turn it on. It will freeze so I have to reinstall the battery to turn it on.
- I managed to install some other roms but it only shows black screen.
- No problems on the recovery. Recovery supports my model.
can someone help me to find a kernel for this phone? I am keep googling to save this phone.
( nah should I just throw away this phone and get a new one? lol jk )
I FIXED MY PHONE!
- First, download the stock .md5 file from https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N916K/. OR if you can understand Korean, http://www.matcl.com/torrent/3013489. ( This website is more faster to download but requires you to register )
- Second, get the .md5 file by extracting the .zip file.
- Third, Install the .md5 file.
- Now, it will show the DRK error.
- Install CF-Auto Root https://download.chainfire.eu/834/C...to-Root-tre3caltektt-tre3caltektt-smn916k.zip
- Be patient, phone will be rebooting for 3~4 times.
- Now you're done!
+ I will keep this thread open just in case some other people needs help.

Download stock firmware for your device and you can extract the kernel.
You have to rename the stock firmware from (home.tar.md5) to (.zip)
Then extract the file you will get (boot.img) thats the kernel.
Copy to device and flash from twrp recovery (flash image) method.

Your DRK (DEVICE ROOT KEY) is messed up.
Try on your own risk.
Go to www.tsar3000.com and download repair firmware for your model .
Extract repair firmware you will get 5 files (BL,AP,CP,CSC,PIT FILE ) go to odin options and check "nand erase all".
flash all files together from odin then do factory reset from stock recovery.
Hopefully this will help.
