Updating TWRP and various Root questions

I've flashed via odin the TWRP recovery before I installed the v30 omega rom. 2 days ago I flashed the v31 and now the phone reboots randomly.I've tried to use logcat but i can't find the cause.In safe mode though the phone doesn't reboot So here is the deal:
I'll reflash the v31 since some features were NOT flashed like call button on contacts but i want to update the TWRP to its latest version....how?Through the TWRP manager app?Or flash it through odin?Flashing an updated version on an existing one recovery using odin won't be a problem right?Also,what jfltexx is the codename of my version right?(9505)
Also,a nandroid backup is basically an "image" of the phone right?Like a disk clone operation of acronis in windows....correct?

So i assume that your question is does flashing TWRP got problem or not?
So you flash the latest version wont be any problem because i did it already
And nandroid backup is a total ROM for your current condition which mean is your OMEGA v31 so when anything goes wrong you
can go back to the start where you made the backup

No just the rom wasn't flashed properly and i will reflash it
I just haven't updated TWRP to the latest version.............how can i do that?

You can flash .tar file through odin or use goo manager
Or you can flash 2.7.0.1 as a zip file through your recovery from here ?

To flash a flashable .zip file you need a Custom Recovery like TWRP. So,
1. Root your phone with IORoot25. - This will give you root.
2. Download and run AutoRec on your phone. - This will downgrade your bootloader to JB and install TWRP.
3. Boot into Recovery Mode (TWRP) and flash your modem.zip. - This will give you a new modem.
Remember to back up your modem before flashing a new one.

Stock ROM Backup

Hi,
I have rooted and installed TWRP on my 910F Note4 as I was fed up waiting on the lollipop update rolling out. I am currently on 4.4.4 and have made a full backup using TWRP of the stock rom.
My intention was flashing the Cyanogen ROM and using that, but i now see on sammobile there is a stock 5.01 rom available. I have a few questions about this.
1. If I flash to Cyanogen can I still revert back to the stock rom 4.4.4 I have made a backup with? I read somewhere there might be problems as I was on KitKat then moved to lollipop(Cyanogen).
2. Can I flash the stock lollipop rom from within TWRP? Or do you have to do this via ODIN?
3. If I flash the Lollipop stock ROM with Odin I assume I will lose root and TWRP? So this would have to done again?
Guess I am asking what is the best way to proceed?

hi Paul,
1. i beleve to flash CM from kitkat you will need to install the lollipop bootloader first.
2. You have to flash the stock rom via Odin, you will keep all apps settings and files but you will lose root (you u can re root in 3 minutes)
Best thing you could do is flash the stock rom first with odin, see how that feels (IMO its good been using it for months now) and then root it and back it up and flash CM12 (you dont have to flash any boatloader at this point)

Ok tried to flash Stock O2 UK lollipop ROM via ODIN and got error message on screen. MD5 too big or something. Had to pull battery on phone. Had to then reflash TWRP. Got back into TWRP and tried to do a recovery of the backup I took but phone is stuck at Galaxy note 4 screen. It then shuts down and restarts and gets to the same screen again.
Do I try a different ROM? What can I do?

I got it working by flashing the German non branded ROM... Got the error message again but then used a "All samsung recovery.tar" as stated on another post in here and it booted fine eventually... Now on Lollipop. Now time to flash with TWRP.... Again!!!

I need help, urgently !
My Note 4 SM-N910C does not work. I can enter the Recovery and the Download Mode. When attempting to install a Custom ROM gives me an error that says I have no data. In the internal memory I have 0mb.
I tried using odin, but I can not .. Salta error.
Someone who can make a backup of your phone (which is factory), leave me a link to download it? So I install the TWRP. Please.
They have another solution?

mmm could it be a refurbished phone? and flashing wrong rom if motherboard says its a different model then touch problems appears.

if you are rooted and have twrp are in kitkat..
use the links i provided in the other messages i sent you before this.
enter recovery. button vilume down and power at same time, at LG logo release power, then press again. select on white screen yes twice this should take you to recovery. or download quick rreboot app.
1. flash bootstacks 5.02 KK-bumped for you variant i thikn you have d800 make sure its for your model.
2.dont reboot to system go to main menu/ reboot into recovery from recovery.
3. install the slimmed official rom for d800. it has root, and can take ota updates if AT&T sim is used.
4. go to playstore download autorec for lollipop for d800 install.
5. install thermal twrp 2.8.7.3 again. reboot to system, then you are done you have lollipop. rooted and thermal recovery...
if you want to flash a custom STOCK rom, not CM or ASOP this are different. if you want stock custom rom 5.0.2 just wipe all in recovery. copy rom you want to install while in twrp. then install and thats it you have custom stock rom if you want to.

thats something wrong with bootloader.
go back to stock again.
go into download mode and flash
KK 4.4.2 tot or kdz. the one you used.
then root/use autorec for KK

the reboot to recovery who chause de error
so i want to knaw if i just go back ans intall the rom or it will be necessary to reboot to recovery after use bootloader

Recovery mode not opening.

I just flashed unofficial lollipop (explay fresh) to my micromax a120. Everything seems to work fine but i am not able to boot into recovery mode. Whenever i try to do so, the phone restarts or just get stucked at boot logo of explay fresh. I have tried number of recoveries (ctr, cwm, twrp, phillz) but none of them seems to work. Even stock recovery is not opening with this rom. But with other roms (stock kitkat, cm12.1, cm13) every recovery is working. I tried searching on google but was not able to find a solution. If someone out there knows a fix, the help would be appreciated.
Phone info:
Model : Micromax A120 (4gb)
Rom info:
ROM OS Version: 5.1.x Lollipop by Ariafan
ROM Kernel: Linux 3.10.x
ROM Firmware Required: Wiko Rainbow or clone
Based On: AOSP
Version: Stable
I would also like to know how to root this rom as i have tried kingroot but it doesnt seems to work and i cant flash root.zip as i am not able to boot in recovery. Any kind of help will be appreciated. Thank you

First of all, i installed this rom in past, i'm not faced any issue...
If are are Troubling: Try this:
First:
Install Stock ROM with spft.(use Format All + Download mode)
after then install Ariafan's ROM again with proper steps:
ROM:
fresh_l1_stable.rar Download.
Custom Recovery:
fresh_l1-kenzukie-twrp-5.1.img Download.
Flash Instructions:
Backup.
Download fresh_l1_stable.rar.
Unpack fresh_l1_stable.rar.
Flash ROM with SP Flash Tool(use Firmware Upgrade mode).
WARNING! ROM doesn't contain SuperSU or custom recovery. You need your own.
Enjoy

i am using the same rom with fresh_l1-kenzukie-twrp-5.1.img.
only this recovery work for me on arianfan or kenzuckie loolipop roms.
first flash rom, then power on ....run android.
then power off
flash only recovery with sp flash tool in download mode , then power on in recovery mode is ok
sometime recovery disapear, so just flash it again
