hii, I am a user of Galaxy Y S5360 also a new comer member of this site, guys please help me. Well now tell you myphone was in good condition. last night I installed creed's rom 3.5,(before installing it I had Ultimate Sonic Rom). as usual I did every steps properly but while the logo is caming after rebooting the phone (Samsung Galaxy Y) its stuck, I waited for 5 hrs but still same.. So I removed the battery and turn the phone again and do the steps again but no effect still the same its stuck.. Guys please help me out from this situation? Can any one tell me why it happening? though I did properly. . . . Thanks for your listening.
why it stuck after rebooting, while other Rom works properly? Or Can I never installed creed's rom 3.5 in my phone? please help.
one of my friend was told me about some process that CWM recovery and some Nandroid backup, (but as I dont did before), So I dont understand, dont get that point exactly.
Can you please show me a way, What should I do now?
have you tried reverting to stock with odin and then flashing again?
i've this sort of problem when flashing to other ROMs whenever the ROM i was on had a non-stock kernel
in any case hope this will help you
People often dont follow the exact steps to install a ROM and get stuck on splash screen. This applies for ALL ROMs.Follow this exactly. If that doesnt work, let me know
1) Boot to Stock recovery mode by holding power+Home+volume Up
2) Wipe Data(factory reset)+cache
3) Click Install from sd card
4) Select the CWM by madteam or by skin 1980
5) In CWM, again wipe data+cache
6) Select Install from sd card and select creeds rom (any ROM its the same procedure)
7) Reboot after the process completes
8) Wait 4-5 mins max if the ROM get booted up, if it boots up ignore all the steps below, your installation is complete (since some ROMs need the next steps and some dont need).
9) Else, Go to stock recovery mode again (dont worry, pull the battery and insert, just keep on holding the combo buttons and try till the recovery comes)
10) Wipe Data+Cache ( DONT DO IN CWM only in STOCK and DONT flash anything!)
11) Reboot and wait if the ROM loads up.
If it still gets stuck on splash logo, you need to flash back to stock and try again. Refer this post for how to do that. Download the latest firmware of your region and follow the steps given in post 2 :

follow all the steps given EXACTLY
it happened with me also. i just flashed sgy via odin. some rom may get softbrick while flashing..
Creed's 3.5 would mostly work if flashed from stock rom. my suggestion should be to start from stock rom using odin and the flash creed's 3.5 since creeds is using a different kernel that does not support flashing from some custom roms

yes he is right & i totally agree with him
Flash a Stock rom first using Odin ( use a stock rom of your region & correct model)
& then use recovery to install Creed's 3.5
because some custom kernels do not allow other kernels to be installed over them
so this results in boot loop (soft brick)

yesterday i installed creedv3.5 rom on my samsung galaxy y before that i was using stock rom. Now when i plug in my earphones nothing happens, my phone is not detecting my earlids please help.....
Creed 3.5 does not have their own kernel, so one can easilly swap from any rom(Stock R custom) without ODIN flash..
The only thing you have to do is Do Wipe Cache And also wipe dalvik cache in CWM
Thats enough..

Hi Guru's ,
Sounding verry n00bish yes but halp needed
my HTC TYTN II had no secrets anymore for me so it was time to upgrade
I read up on kernels flashing etc and then descided to get on it
got Odin , insecure kernel (CF-Root 4.0.0.2) , and a rom (was villain 3.0)
did it all correct , kernel ok , yellow triangle and original os booted up ok
CWM , clear all and reset etc , install zip , succesfully and reboot
sticks in reboot , endless yellow triangle ...
oh wel , np , i'll redo it from original
all steps ok untill other rom , bam , stuck in boot
crap , so , again
I now descided to go for the CM 7.1 that was just launched "stable"
Other CWM and kernel from their Wiki , gives me a insecure boot (triangle) to original and ok
into CWM (4.0.1.5) , all steps again , install zip from sd card , no zip (while its on for sure !)
formatted all known formats and put zip on , doesn't see it
was pissed like **** then and re-done it serveral times , no go
tried , from stock again and again to get it working
and found the intermediate problem , CWM 4.0.1.5 !
did the >CF rooot 4.0.0.2 etc and found the zip on card that 4.0.1.5 didn't never see (wtf ?)
tried CM 7.1 then , succesfully ... reboot , nope stays booting yellow triangle
tried 2 other rom's then and a nightly CM 7.1 with the CF-root also , no show
what am I doing wrong , does anyone recognise this ?
and maybe this post is better to be in Q&A I now think
Welcome to the S2 community
So, CM 7.1 sitting on yellow triangle happened to me too, be sure to:
from clockworkmod recovery:
Wipe data/cache (factory reset)
Wipe cache
advanced -> wipe dalvik cache
mount & Storage -> format system
Then flash cm 7.1 again.
If it still sit down on yellow triangle, redo all the above, yes also the flashing (for the 2nd time in a row, i know) , and usually it will finally reboot in a working CM 7.1
Let me know if this helped or not
And yes, better in Q&A
Thx for the welcome
Let me go and redo this exactly as you said right now

yes, As For my above instructions, seems for some reason 2x flash in a row are needed. But from when i format system, it works in a single flash
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Yup, definitely need to flash the CM7 package twice in a row. My trick is to flash it once, then reboot into CWM again and flash the package again! Hope it all goes well for you.
I can happely confirm doing it all twice exactly in a row does the trick
Cm 7.1 (nightly 82) running smoothly
Can anyone confirm my idea on following :
when I start configuring contacts mailsettings etc and save then
Then do a nandroid backup (via cwm the same ???)
And I put a new rom or newer version of rom on it
If I restore , does it restore everything as a "mirror" or just the settings i made
If everything , is there a program that does what I mentioned (just the personal settings mailsettings ed ?
If you backup your ROM using CWM Nandroid recovery (booted using the volume up + home + power button combo), you will have a mirror image of everything on your phone right now. A Titanium Backup is useful if you were to transfer your user apps from one ROM to another after a full wipe; wise to do a full wipe moving from a different ROM to another.
You can restore your CWM Nandroid backup in case anything happens.
Another point I would like to add is if you are updating from an earlier version of CM7, you can just flash the upate package without any wipe. You will not loose data in the process.

My note is in a stage where it will just show the opening screen and sometimes loop the opening Samsung logo.
I can still boot into recovery mode, but nothing seems to fix my phone.
I tried wiping everything, and may have wiped to much.
Can someone help me get my phone to factory settings over skype sometime?
I am very lost
I think you need to flash a stockrom via PC odin to get it back to normal.
As long as you can boot into download mode, it can be fixed, as mentioned above, pc odin and flash stock rom.

I tell you one way. What i did. I rooted stock rom. Made settings of my desire and took back up of it. Copied that back up into my pc. And then started experiments with ma phn. I came one or two time in the same situations what i did. I just restored the back up i made n it was again ready to do experiments.
Suggestions (to save urself to stuck in this situations ):
1. When you go in recovery to flash new rom, first do wipe data then wipe cache then do wipe dalvik cache.
2. Check on developers thread of the specific rom that weather the rom has special requirement to flash. Like some ics roms need to flash on the chinese version of rom. First you flash chinese ics rom then u flash deaired rom. N some need specific kernel support like stunner rom used to need abyss kernel before flashing the rom. So check installation instructions carefully.
Best of luck.

Flash your phone to base DXLF1 and try installing Hyperion from there. if you still have trouble installing the ROM, try flashing DXLF1 then install EVO-X2.1 then Hyperion (that's what I did)
also you don't need a pre-rooted phone. installation of Hyperion automatically roots your phone. and if you did a fresh flash and haven't booted up your phone (after Odin flashing, immediately booted to Recovery then CWM Recovery) then you don't have to do a data reset or cache wipe, your phone after flashing stock rom is already as good as wiped and reset.
and you can flash Hyperion from either CWM or Stock Recovery. but the flashing of EVO-X2.1 requires CWM. I forgot if EVO needs root, but you can check that out on the developers page (too lazy to add link )
first flash stock dxlf
then if youre succesfull go to stock rom home screen
reboot recovery clear data factory reset and cache on stock recovery
then apply root update.zip (file you need to root ur phone)
next open cwm clear data and cache again
after that install hyperion then donot reboot and donot apply any update (must be later after succes install)
clear data and cache again in cwm
then reboot recovery clear data and cache again
then reboot wait for a while
thats my step and now im using hyperion smoothly

you may immediately flash to DXLF1. just go to download mode without doing anything. Like I said, flashing stock roms is as good as getting your phone right from the factory.
after flashing to DXLF1 you may retry flashing Hyperion. if that doesn't work, then refer to my previous post on what I did.

hey all,
so i am incredibly new to this scene and just recieved my s4. i was preparing to flash a ROM onto my phone, and got it rooted and installed CWM.
I forgot to download the actual ROM zip file, and went into CWM via goo manager, wiped factory/data and cache. It was only AFTER i wiped everything that i realised i didnt download the ROM zip file, so i rebooted the phone and now it is stuck on the start-up splash screen where it displays "Samsung galaxy S4 GT-I9505" and will not continue :crying:
I was running on stock, and had only rooted the phone.
PLEASE i urgently need to fix this ASAP. Help!
Hi,
is there a Odin Version of the Rom you tried to flash? If yes, you could simply bring your device to download-mode and flash the Rom with Odin.
Alternatively search for a odin flashable Recovery and flash this first. Then you could boot to recovery and flash the zip of the Rom.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
i tried installing the liquid smooth rom, and from what i can see there is no odin version of the rom :\
Are you able to direct me to an Odin flashable recovery I can use?
im really stressing out about this
i'm in the process of downloading a stock firmware and will try to flash it on, but it's taking forever to download
I don't see why you can't boot again if you have only wiped the user data and cache, just press the home button for 10 seconds and see if it restarts with your reset stock firmware. Otherwise you can reboot into recovery and do the wipes again (not the option to install a new ROM), or put the ROM zip you want to flash on an SD card and then flash from the SD.
I hope this helps.

You should of made a backup with CWM. That's what it's used for also, besides flashing .zips. Always make a backup that you can restore and keep an extra copy on ur computer and/or a usb drive.
You have to use Odin to flash a stock firmware from Sammobile website. Make sure you download the correct firmware for your phone.
Dont worry, your phone isn't brick.
when i first did the wipe, i chose the option that i was going to install a new ROM. I'm now assuming that's where i made a mistake.
I did make a backup before i wiped everything onto my SD card, but now i can't even access that backup because it's saying there's nothing.
I've tried flashing a ROM onto it, but it says aborted.
Yes SORF ist right. It should boot into resetted stock firmware.
First try to copy the Rom to SD and then boot to recovery an try flashing it.
If booting to recovery doesn't work (but it should work if you just wiped user data and cache) you should try flashing new recovery with odin.
You could use Philz recovery for GT-I9505 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2281367
Installation Instructions for installation with odin you find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39433857&postcount=4

yes i have tried that, and it says that install aborts.
Also when i re-wipe everything and then try to reboot, it says my device is missing root.
When i try to re-root, and the device reboots, it gets stuck on the intro screen again so the root doesn't actually complete installing
have you fixed it yet?
so im going to try a different ROM other than the liquid smoothe one i wanted (since it keeps saying aborted)
question: does it matter if i use ANY s4 ROM regardless of carrier? I'm from Australia and there is no specific carrier for my phone on xda
Why does it fails to install? Are there any more error messages?
Also you can try the point "Fix Permissions" under Advanced Options. This could help.

ok so i went ahead and found the cyanogenmod one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317040
and installed this and it works
though i dont like the look of this ROM lol, i prefer something a little more stock looking.
Any recommendations?
When reflashing a new ROM, what is the process i need to follow?
Cyanogenmod is themeable. So you could search for a stock like theme and install that.
If you like an overall more stock rom try scottyf79's recommendation.
If you want to flash a complete new Rom first copy zip onto sd, then boot into recovery, wipe data and cache, then falsh zip file.
Try the Omega Roms. They are close to stock.
Closest to stock are the prerooted DJembey ROMs (the CWM ones) or the Wanam Lite ROM (it's what I am on now)

personally -
i use Philz recovery
before install of a new rom - i use the "new rom" wipe option rather than the normal data, cache and dalvik wipe (it does this but adds in some extra steps)
then flash the rom of choice
if you get any other messages before reboot - select no
like i said before, if you want a stock looking Sami rom then try Golden Eye.

Well I tried to use that rom but I had some problem with that due to which I got to reflash stock firmware. Whenever I tried to install rom using TWRP my phone rebooted and get stuck on note 3 logo.
Friends, I was unable to install Phronesis rom. The steps that I followed are given below.
1) Downloaded Phronesis v6.2 rom from OP and copied it to SD Card.
2) Booted into TWRP recovery.
3) Selected "Wipe" option in the recovery menu.
4) Selected Advanced wipe.
5) From this menu I selected system, data, cache and delvit/art cache.
6) After selecting above options I swiped to wipe.
7) After this I went back to main recovery Menu.
8) From recovery menu I selected Install.
9) From here I chose Phronesis v6.2 rom from SD card storage.
10) Installation started and a bar started to load on the bottom of screen.
And after a few seconds (10 to 30 sec) my phone restated and stuck on note 3 logo.
At the end I didn't have any option but to re-flash stock firmware using odin.
It is the horror story of my note 3.
Please tell me where I have done wrong.

1. Boot into recovery (say TWRP) Please read Q&A re TWRP .
2. Select wipe in recovery menu
3. Select Advanced Wipe
4. From the resulting window, select to wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache (of course after backing up your rom / data)
5. Swipe to wipe the selected partitions.
That's recovery wipe completed.
Recovery install zip .
In Aroma menu when you get to option to wipe, select:
1. Select "Full Wipe" radio button
2. Select "Full wipe 1" radio button
3. Select your CSC as desired
4. Continue making other choices as you like....
Sir i am trying to follow this guide given in OP in Phronesis Rom thread. I successfully followed this guide till recovery wipe. But unfortunately it is not going into aroma installer.?
Then its a failed download of the rom .
Install zip should lead to a start of the rom install and aroma with options .
Suggest you stop posting multiple threads its to hard to follow .

Thanks. And sorry for multiple threads. I will download that rom again.
Should I put rom file in internal memory of note 3 or I should put it in SD card?
SD Card .
Tried by redownloading the rom but still I can not enter aroma installer.
What is MD5?
The lollipop that I am currently installing my note 3 is "N9005ZSUGOL1_N9005OZSGOL1_N9005ZSUGOL1_HOME.tar.md5" via odin.
Is there any other way to make my stock rom more significant without installing custom rom?
Upgrade is almost complete. I will root soon after completion.
After trying many times, I don't want to install this rom anymore. Thanks every one for help. XDA is really amazing.
