Go to download mode by pressing vol. Down+home key+power....now flash a new kernel via odin..

dont touch anything else in odin
connect cell in download mode
nd start flashing

yes,
disables deepsleep which causes the CPU to use the least frequency when in idle thus using more battery, it also slows down boot and system responsiveness tremendously (may improve with a class 10 sdcard) but overall i would'nt recommend a2sd, link2sd is much better

i have rooted my phone and installed kernal and Rom also ! the prob is i cant install any apps like link2sd whn i try to install phone switch on frm the logo ! how to fix this ! any suggestion

some roms have got some bugs with these apps...
i can't help u untill u give full info abt what ur prob is...!!

may be prob with ure kernel or rom ..go to stock and flash jbv3 which has kuro kernel the stable one..moreover rom is also stable...i am using it so it is my advice to u to use it....

No they wont..coz u will loose root.

I dont exactly know about it but flashing anything increases flashing counter(which is der in ur cell) so they may come to know.
But there is an app to reset that counter.
And saying thanx isnt enough, press it.!

U hv to reset the custom bin count......go to sir doky's thread or see his signature........he has made a file to reset the custom bin.....

After doing that...
Go to Odin/download mode.. by volume down + power + home button combo..
Then see if your counter is more than 0... if its 0 and saying Samsung official...
Then no problem.. just go to service centers.. they won't be able to discover..
But if it is more than 0 in custom bin counter.. then go to themes & app section in this forum...
And download galaxy toolbox app made by doky73 to reset counter.. and it works.. don't worry... I have done it too..

After reset... it still won't show Samsung official... for that just flash a firmware update from Odin... and you are good to go..

[Q] Help Error when select radio band

When I select radio bands ( *#*#4636#*#* ->phone information-> Left soft button -> select radio bands), it's always force close. Can someone help me? I only want to choose JPN band so if you know other ways to do it. Please tell me. I appreciate your help.

Try refashing your country firmware using odin. U can find it with the search box.

Hey why not just try this method i think it could solve prob
dial *#272*imeino# and in the screen select JPN or for u r country...I think this should work

I tried but it won't work. I think there should be something to do with Settings.apk like this thread say.

so u r in stock rom right try to update it from settings it could be a bug too.
If it was a bug it will get fixed through update

You can find the instructions from the ROM's thread itself, but the most common way is:
*for ROMs without custom kernels:
1. Boot your phone to recovery mode by pressing and holding the power button, volume up key, and the home button simultaneously.
2. You can navigate through the screen by using the volume keys as the up/down buttons and enter with the home key. navigate your way to "wipe data..........", and "wipe cache".
3. Next, hit "Apply Update from SD card", then choose your ROM.. (Note: Your ROM should be in the root of your sd card)
4. Hit "reboot system now"
Note: Flahing custom roms require you to Wipe all data (except from data from the sd card..), better backup your apps, messages, contacts, etc. first.. Thank you..

Thats a good habit, keep it up. I appreciate. Just make sure that you use important keywords like flashing cm7 galaxy y, and keep it short, that will give you probably the best results. The results are shown on the basis of thread title and tags used by the op.

[FIX] Rooting Of Galaxy Grand GT-I9082

I guess u r flashing the CWM using odin v3.07. Try flasing it using odin v3.04.

on odin it will say RESET instead of PASS. it still okay.

Cannot install CWM in current indian firmware.
after installing CWM through Odin, my Stock recovery has also gone. Now when I try to enter into recovery mode phone restarts. I am in I9082XXUBMI1 indian firmware. Any solution.

Did u falsh the cwm properly...did ur odin showed pass? If yess...then after unticking auto reboot...n switching off the fone did u properly entered cwm mode by pressing volume up+home+power buttons? After u press these buttons wait till the samsung logo appears n nw leave those buttons...I hope nw u enter the cwm mode sucessfully!
