on screen keyboard problem - Transformer TF300T General

When I type half the time the cursor jumps to another word or in the middle of the word. Then when i type auto correct Goes haywire and puts any word it wants to extremely annoying and sometimes takes forever to type anything after hearing to go back and fix the typos. Has done this on the stock, Asus, and swipe beta keyboard. Anyone have this problem too?!

Same problem here. Its incredibly annoying. Tempts me to just turn auto correct off

touch pad goes crazy

every now and then the touch pad start to run like crazy between the menus like he is stuck on down or up.....
I've got the same problem. Sometimes it gets stuck and keeps scrolling down.
I predicted this would be broke first
Now, I just disabled the touchpad function because I didn't really like the function anyway. Now I cant just navigate by clicking the ring around it and using the touchpad as a "ok" button. Which feels more stable
.....
i've disabled it too ...i had no other choice.. so what is it? hardware or software problem....its driving me crasy...i've done HR twice!! and its still happens....
same problem here and i have disabled the touchpad also.
i think it's a little scratch on the touchpad itself which is causing a problem on the optical sensor. maybe it's only because of some dust.
.....
so its just us having this problem?
I have same problem too and notice that there are a lot of dust on the touch pad and do some cleaning, it has been back to normal.
i'm having the same problem too. i'll give it a clean and see if that sorts it.
Hey guys, it's been a while since you added to this thread, but I now have the same problem. What did you do exactly to clean the touchpad? Just the top bit or also underneath? How did you get there? What did you clean it with? And finally, did it help?

Touchscreen issue with video!

Hello!
I have been having a small issue with the touchscreen. This all started when I noticed I could type faster on my iPod touch than I can on my Incredible (no, not another Apple fanboy lol). So I started to look into what was causing this. Quite quickly I noticed that some keyboard presses did not register, but I saw the icon pop up (to show which key I was pressing)! This only happened if I typed fast... so then I started to look deeper into why the icon popped up but it didn't type the key. I figured out that if you touch two points too quickly, the screen registers it as a "drag" event. As a side note, I've been using Smart Keyboard Pro for it's multitouch capability. I've tested this by tapping twice quickly in Swype, and sure enough, it drew a line between two keys.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Thanks,
x.v_
I made a video to demonstrate what I'm talking about!

it has nothing to do with multitouch. do the same thing but hold a finger on a and a finger on l at the same time, then let go of a and the same thing happens. you're just touching it fast enough that that's how it's registering. it's not the screen, it's the apps. swype isn't multitouch so that's what happens when you try.

...I didn't say it had to do with multitouch? It is a global problem, not just apparent in some apps. This seems to be a bug in how the phone handles two points being touched too quickly. This should not happen.

I've had it with the issues. I also have the trackpad issue, plus signal dropping all the time, even when just sitting on my table. Sometimes it drops completely and signal does not come back, even enabling and disabling airplane mode. I have to reboot the phone to be able to lock on to a signal. Also, my hinge is too loose. Even while using it in car, a slight bump on the road makes the screen close over my fingers. I'm calling for a replacement today.

Mine is working fine. I have noticed that it moves by itself when I'm in bright sunlight, or in a car and the sun is going behind trees, it will move the selection around my screen. A little annoying but almost never happens.
If my finger is sticky or sweaty it makes it harder for it to read my swipes. But with a clean dry hand it works almost perfectly. Too bad it doesn't register diagonal swipes.
If you hold the shift (arrow up) key down while in a text window, you will get an arrow cursor for your trackpad. It's a good way to test it out because you can see exactly how it moves.
As far as calibrating it... No way to do so that I know of.

[Q] controller touchpad sensitivity?

I'm curious how sensitive is the touchpad supposed to be on the ouya? Sometimes mine seems like all you need is a little tap, when other times i am having to bash it to recognize a tap on it. is this normal or is it a sign of bad things to come? Also is there a test like the joystick test for the touchpad?
thanks
I have the same problem, I'm pretty sure it's normal behaviour. Kinda annoying when browsing, at times.
The touchpad is small and there is no boundary for where to start and stop. So sometimes you hit it and sometimes you don't. Almost needs some physical indication of the borders. I suggested some tape or something. Just to give feedback for your finger.
It also isn't that sensitive.

[Q] G2 "ghost clicks" screen sensitivity

Has anyone noticed that their screen is picking up "clicks" without actually touching the screen?
on occassion my screen will detect a button click even if i haven't actually touched the screen. It's starting to get annoying, but I don't know if that's just the way the phone is, or if i'm too used to a capacitive screen rather than a heat sensitive one.
i had this happen a few times. not enough to bother me that much. it happens sometimes when my finger is hovering really close to the screen, like i'm getting ready to press on it but not yet because i'm still reading whatever it is on the screen, and then it ends up clicking it anyway. i think its happened a total of 3 times for me. 2 other times though, i've had the screen do double taps when i was just swiping around. trying to scroll up and down on a webpage and it registered as zooming in. i did do some zooming in and out a few seconds prior so i think for some reason it was "stuck" on double tap mode or something. had to switch the screen off and on to fix it.

yea it does the same thing for me as well. I sometimes go to press a letter and the letter gets pressed twice. it's really annoying. i'm hoping that if i buy a screen protector it will get better but i'm betting that I'm gonna have to battle with LG's terrible customer service.
Never happened to me. The screen (as with every other smartphone I have had) doesn't react unless I'm actually clicking. Even if I touch the screen with the SLIGHTEST touch I can do, it doesn't react. Which is good, no problem reacting when I actually click.
I guess it might have something to do with my fingers being hard as metal due to guitar playing or something.
On mine it seems to get worse as the screen gets oily. If it starts to wig out, I wipe down the screen and that usually solves the problem for a couple days.
When my screen gets overly sensitive i turn the screen on and off again. Usually fixes it.

Maybe i'm just crazy, but when i spend this much on a phone I shouldn't have to turn the screen on and off constantly to get it to work.
Hopefully LG realizes this is a problem and rushes out an update...

it happened to me... not only that the screen freezzes from the ghost clicks... the clicks are on middle of the screen staying... for example by playing Plants vs Zombies 2... the screen doesn't react at all.
I think that has something to do with the "smart-stay" or with the screen time-limit.
... plus of that... the phone gets really hot at that time.
any solutions?... or back to guarantee?
Greets.
Never happened to me, however I know exactly what you're talking about from using cheap Chinese tablets. Therefore I suggest getting it fixed or exchanged.

Same here, works this way, slightest touch wont react, actual press would.
