Hey guys iv been wanting to expirement with a few rooms but they require me to flash firmwares through flash tool. So I plug in my phone in flash mode (green led popped up) then a minute later it will say device disconnected and the kernel will reboot then it goes back into flashmode. Any fixes? I also have the correct drivers.

When I use flashtool, I connect the phone by pressing the search button (blue led lights up) and everything works.
Sorry for my bad English. It's not my native language.

Yes, but you said, that you have to flash another ftf, don't you? And when i flash another firmware i connect my phone so.
You even can't flash a rom through flashtool.
Sorry for my bad English. It's not my native language.
Yes u can I'm talking about the .58 Enhanced V2 u can't flash that in fastboot mode. You probably just use flash tool for kernels.

Just start flashing without connected phone, then a description will pop up how to connect it, so it was for me when I flashed this firmware.

hi
I made a mistake when a I wanted root S3 with CF-Root kernel, and I flashed kernel of Note2
then display became Blue. and now it's touch doesn't work.
I flashed CF root of s3 and doesn't fixed.
even I tried Flashing original Rom
but it does not worked
and I lost my touchscreen
how can I fix that
I think kernel of note2 does not allow other kernels to flash correctly
(sorry ! I can't speak english good)

I m not sure about this...
Maybe you can try installing new kernel via adb...
Not sure if it will work though...
If the recovery is working than wipe everything there, system, data, preload, dalvik etc.. Then go into download mode and flash a official Samsung rom, some not branded 4.1.2, btu i think is the best, after that go into recovery again wipe data and cache, and than try to reboot. If that doesn't work try flashing only kernel via adb.

I flashed a ROM
it doesn't work
If you can get it in DOWNLOAD mode. You should be able to flash a stock rom with ODIN. Then re-root, flash Custom ROM, etc.,etc.
That's the only way I have repaired other peoples botched updates and stuff. :good:
The Note 2 screen needs more power than SG3 screen, so the kernel you mistakenly flashed could have damaged the hardware itself.
Do as fbarcenas says. If it doesn't work, I think you're gonna have to replace the screen unit. Try everything else first, of course, and good luck !

Have a look at this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2231393
I remember that something similar to what you did happened because of a mistake from the developer and Codeworx and others tried to help and solve the issue, but I didn't follow that story until the end, so cannot tell you if they succeeded.
Try to use some Rescue Roms the ones with the pit files. Tough problem mate sorry?

ive seen a similar issue...and im enclined to agree with regaber
u may want to consider getting a new screen...
If you have flashed a stock rom, that will have replaced all files, including the kernel, therefore if it's still not working something has caused hardware damage (the only option after flashing stock and wiping everything.
If you flash a touch recovery is your touchscreen working in that?

Run the pbj2o.exe - you'll need cpuid and drivers, it also depends if you're upgrading or downgrading. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516012 to downgrade. If u have any other questions pls dont post in the dev forum, see the root guide in my sig, all info is there.

Once you have rooted your phone, you have to delete a file in system, wich overwrites the custom recovery with the original. But i don't remember wich file it is. I think Google know it.:cyclops:
EDIT: I found it: you need a root Explorer. Go to system/etc and delete "install-recovery.sh"
After that, flash a custom recovery. Now it should work.
What also helps sometimes is to uncheck "auto-reboot" in Odin.
When the flashing is finished, you just hold the power button for 10 sec (until it reboots).

Anytime bro
I've encounter this problem once before and this is what i did to get flash success through odin.
close all running program on your pc.. start odin and plug in your usb cable.. please do not use your pc while flashing stock rom on your phone because this is why it kept falling..flashing stock rom on galaxy s4 took pretty long time since the file is big.. just wait until the process is finish..
note : you can still use download mode when you get this message ( firmware upgrade encountered an issue )
p/s : i didn't see that it already has been solved.. i'm very tired when writing this so i think i might just post it here so other member can get clue when they encounter this problem
it took time when writing this, cuz my english is bad and i don't want to just delete it
